A New Hero, A New Legend

I am Yusuke Godai. I am 23 years old. I live in Japan but I also stayed in America at some point in my life. My life changed when this strange artifact took control of me... I wanted to protect everyone's smiles but I failed... It happend a few years ago... I usually wear a grey jacket,white t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and I have red skin color.

I was headed from Japan to America to visit my friend, Cheerilee who is a teacher on Canterlot High. She is currently helping in a Professor's discovery of a archaeological Tribe along with a Mummified Corpse. I don't really know much about the school she teaches in but i'v heard that there was some strange incident that happend a few months ago, had something to do with some "Magic Crown".

I came across a crying boy.

"Hey! What's wrong!" I said.

"I know this is sudden...", I hold the boy's shoulders, "I think a boy who can smile through hard times is cool!"

"But I guess an 8 year-old boy who is seperated from his parents can't help but be frightened, Huh?" I said.

The boy kept crying...

"When I was just a kid... 8 years old... I was stranded in Nepal. I would have died there and I wanted to cry." I told the boy a story.

"There was a boy, despite his age, he said "it'll be okay" and smiled at me, and I thought it was kind of cool!" I said.

The boy continued crying. I started juggling some balls. I got the boy's attention and he finally Smiles.

"There he is!" A Policeman said.

His parents finally came and took him.

"Thank you for watching over him!" said the Father as he greeted me. They told their son to say goodbye to me and they left.

"Well, Looks like I should get going!" I said to myself.

I headed to Canterlot High to meet Cheerilee and it took us a few hours. We eventually arrived to the location, everything is horse themed.

It was good to see it was a happy place, I don't like it when I see a single sad person anywhere. I headed inside and it looks like the students are having their lunch. I looked around but Cheerilee wasn't inside any of the classrooms or anywhere else inside the school. I asked one of the students.

"Hey, Can you tell me where Cheerilee is?" I asked.

"You must be new here, Darling. My name is Rarity. I'm afraid I haven't seen her. You can try asking Principal Celestia." The student replied.

"Thanks..." I said.

I looked around the school and asking students for directions. I eventually get to the Principal's Office and I knocked on the door.

"Come in." The Principal said as she heard the knocking.

I came inside, the Principal had pale light grayish magenta skin color and a rainbow-ish hair.

"Oh, you must be Yusuke Godai. Welcome to Canterlot High, I am Principal Celestia." Celestia said as I shaked her hand.

"How did you know my name?" I asked.

"Cheerilee warned me of your arrival, She told me that she will be attending an important meeting regarding a Professor's discovery of a strange artifact. You're going to have to wait for her return. She'll have a class later in a few hours so expect to see her later." She said.

"Can't I just go to where she is right now?" I asked as I scratched my head.

"The site is very far away from here and I doubt they'll allow you to enter." She replied.

I looked around and saw a couple of pictures of "Princesses".

"Princesses?" I wondered.

"If a girl wins Fall Formal she will be declared a Princess." Celestia said as she continues to read one of the papers on her desk. One of the girls on the frames are "Sunset Shimmer" and another one with six girls and one dog on it and all of them have strange ears and two of them actually have Wings. It's kinda strange but i think they are just normal costumes.

"Something caught your Interest?" Celestia asked.

"Not Really..." I said.

The bell finally rang, indicating that the students should go back to their classrooms and learn. I came back outside and it wasn't very crowded anymore. I walked around the hallways, looking around. Pretty much everything had something to do with Horses.

While I was distracted by the School's design, I bumped onto someone.

"Oof!" we both shouted.

"Sorry about that!" I said as I helped her pick up the books she dropped.

"Y-Yusuke?" She said.

"Cheerilee?" I said back.

"Yusuke! It's been a long while!" Cheerilee then hugged me. I don't have any relationship with her, she is older than me.

"So why did you call me for?" I asked.

"You're an expert on archaeology right? Well, there's something I wanted to show you." She said. She grabbed a couple of Photographs from one of the books she is carrying.

"What is it?" I asked as she shows me the Photos.

"It's an unknown civilization! The only thing we found is a mummy and a strange belt that we couldn't take off from him. There's also this strange writing maybe YOU could translate for me. I need the Translation tomorrow." She said.

"I-I'll try... Where is the location though?" I asked as i examine the Photos.

"It's in a cave deep inside the Everfree Rainforest. Don't tell anyone you went there, Okay?" Cheerilee then gave me a map.

"Okay, I'll look into it." I said.

"Thank You! I have to go now, The students are waiting for me..." She said as she walks away. I headed out of Canterlot High.

Later that Night... I decided to go to the location. I put on my Motorcycle Helmet and hop onto my Motorcycle. I turn on the headlights and i took off. The city is kinda deserted at night so there was no traffic to deal with.

It took me half an hour to get to the site. I had to climb up the fences to get around it. The place was creepy and silent. I slowly entered deeper into the cave. I saw multiple equipments and spotlights inside the cave where i finally saw the mummy, the multiple strange writings and the artifact.

"Wow..." I whispered. I looked around the writings and none of them made any sense, they looked like symbols and I have never seen anything like it before. I examined the strange artifact that is attached onto the mummy, It looks like a belt.

The belt-like artifact was glowing brightly and I feel this strange energy flow through my body. I hear a strange voice that tells me to come near it which i did so. As I got closer, the light then suddenly shines extremely brightly that it lit up the entire Rainforest. I don't know what happend next but I blacked out.

I thought I was dead but I woke up somewhere else....

I was lying on soft grass. The air was very clean and fresh, The sun shining brightly with birds singing.

Maybe it was just a dream because sometimes l fall asleep while lying down on a meadow while reading a book, but I don't have any books with me at all, I was wearing the same clothes I wore during the night the artifact did something strange. I carefully stood up and stretch my arms abit. I looked down and notice something on my waist. I'm wearing the belt-like artifact and i don't even remember putting it on.

I tried getting it off but it won't. Strangely, it made me feel stronger and faster....

"Gaah!!!" Someone screamed behind me.

I turned around...

My eyes widened on what I saw.

"Wh-What are you?" The creature said as it was shaking.

It was butter yellow colored horse creature. It had two wings, a pink mane, cyan eyes and it appears to have a tattoo of butterflies on its flank. I have to admit, it was kinda adorable.

"Yo-You can talk?" I said...

The adorable creature squeaked when it heard me talk.

"A-Am i scarying you?" I said as I walked closer to it. It stepped back abit.

"Uhhh..." the creature is shaking abit. For some reason, I don't feel terrified... The creature is intelligent as a human. I can tell that the creature is female.

"My Name is Yusuke Godai, I am a Human. What's yours?" I said as I reached my hands forward for a hand shake. The creature squeaked abit when I reached my hand forward.

"Don't worry, I'm your friend!" I said.

"I-I'm F-Fluttershy..." she said as she looks down at my hand.

"I'm friendly, I won't hurt you!" I said with a smile.

She slowly and gently put her hoof ontop of my palm.

"See?" I said.

She kinda looked like that girl who was wearing wing accessory on that photograph back at Principal Celestia's office. Probably the world's creepiest coincidence.

"Wh-What are those things on your hooves? They look like Spike's..." Fluttershy slowly said.

"These are what we Human's call "Hands"..." I replied.

Fluttershy stared at me for a couple of seconds before gasping.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Wait here! I'll be right back!" She then ran off.

"Where are you going?" I asked but she was already too far away to hear what I said.

I sat back down and enjoy the sight of the Forest... It was very peaceful. The calm breeze feels really good. I stood up and walked forward and see if there are any more of those adorable creatures. It's not like I want to keep one as a pet but I wanna know if they live inside small houses or something.

After walking a couple of distance. I finally reached a place where there are plenty of small houses.

The houses are timber-framed with distinct thatched roofs and overhanging upper floors. I can see plenty of the same adorable creatures wandering around the town. I'm sure that if I go there, it would cause panic and chaos. Looks like I can't go there... For now atleast.

Where am I? In an undiscovered location on the Planet? In an Alternate World? Who knows... But this creatures are very intelligent. They are like Humans.... that are Horses.

The town has a very Renaissance-ish feel to it.

"Is this the creature you are talking about, Fluttershy?" Someone spoke behind me. I turned around.

"Y-Yeah... He is friendly though." Fluttershy said.

The purple one looked like another girl on the Photograph. This one has both wings and a horn. Twilight gasped as soon as I stood up and look at her.

"Yo-You're a Human!" Purple Horse exclaimed.

"Y-Yeah, I am!" I said. I was suprised that this creature know about Humans while Fluttershy didn't.

"Oh no... Did you use the Portal that is located infront of Canterlot High!? How!? It only opens once every thirty moons!" Purple Horse said.

"Uhhh... What?" I was confused.

"I am Twil-- PRINCESS Twilight Sparkle. Hurry, you need to come with me! Princess Celestia needs to know about this." Purple Horse said as she tries to pull me.

Wait... Twilight Sparkle and Celestia? I remember the name "Twilight Sparkle" back at PRINCIPAL Celestia's office and now Celestia is a Princess of this magic land?

"Why?" I asked.

"We need to get you back home!" Twilight said.

"Hey, Hey! I didn't use any "Mirrors" to get here!" I said.

"Then how did you get here? The only way to get here is using the Mirrors that opens every thirty moons! Right now it's closed." Twilight said as she looks back at me. She then notices the strange belt that is stuck on my waist.

"What's that?" She asked.

"I have no idea, Probably this is the thing that sent me here..." I answered while scratching my head.

"I can feel unknown magic coming from it... Follow me to my Library, it isn't very far away from here." Twilight said as she used her wings to fly.

"A-Are you the kind of creatures Twilight met when she went to the other world?" Fluttershy asked. "Other World" huh? Maybe this cute creature is talking about MY home world.

"Maybe..." I said.

I walked towards the town, I was hoping Ponies won't run away from me or have an heart attack.

"What is that?" "Is that a giant ape?" "Uhhhh..." "He is only standing on two legs!"

I hear the creatures look at me while talking about me. Pretty much just like what Humans would do whenever they see something strange.

We stopped infront of a Tree that has a door on it.

"So... Where's the Library?" I asked while looking around.

"Its right infront of you, Silly!" Fluttershy giggled as she points the Tree.

"Umm... That Tree?" I said.

"Yes. Don't be shy, go in!" Fluttershy then gently pushes forward.

"Okay... Here goes..." I had to duck to get inside... and yeah... It's a library.

"Whew, Good thing nopony panicked!" Twilight said with a relief. "I can't risk putting Ponyville in trouble so you're gonna have to wait for the Princess HERE okay?"

"Sure...?" I said.

"Fluttershy, you take care of him, I'll go call Princess Celestia okay?" Twilight then left.

I picked up a book from one of the shelves.

"You like reading too?" Fluttershy asked timidly.

"Yeah..." I said as I scan through the pages.

"Hi Fluttershy, who--- Yo-You're a Human!" The weird chubby lizard said who just came down the stairs.

"What are you? A lizard?" I asked.

"No! I'm a Dragon! My name is Spike!" Spike waves his clawed hands. "I never thought i'll see Humans again!"

This one looks like the dog from the SAME PHOTOGRAPH as Twilight... I didn't have anything further to say. What if this artifact turned everyone into a strange magical creatures?

"Right...My name is Yusuke Godai..." I answered as I was starting to get creeped out of what's been happening.

After hours of waiting.... Princess Celestia finally came. The doors open up slowly.

Princess Celestia was taller than any of the creatures i'v seen so far. She looks like Principal Celestia of course, Except she is more white and abit... well... cuter.

"Hmmm.. You appear to be from the other world..." Princess Celestia said with an elegant voice.

"Yeah... I think so..." I answered. She looked onto the strange belt that is attached onto me. Her eyes widenes in suprise.

"I-Is that...?" Princess Celestia whispered...

"What is it?" Twilight asked.

"...N-Nothing..." Princess Celestia snaps out of it. "Twilight, this human will need to stay in Equestria for awhile... There's something that he needs to do here..."

"What would it be?" Twilight asked.

"That artifact that is attached on his body. I do not know much about it but it had something to do with the Gurongi Tribe" Princess Celestia said with a worried look on her face.

"The Gurongi Tribe once attacked Equestria but there was a Warrior who stopped them. The mysterious Warrior sealed himself along with the Gurongi Tribe and was sent to the other world... This human is chosen to be the New Hero.... The New Legend..." Princess Celestia said.

"This artifact came from here!?" I asked.

Princess Celestia nodded...

"Wait... Where's the Amadam!?" Princess Celestia asked when she looked closer to the center of the belt. It appears to be missing something.

"Without it, The user would go berserk!" Princess Celestia exclaimed.

"Twilight, I want you to to look after him, Okay?" Princess Celestia said.

"Okay..." Twilight replied.

"Farewell..." Princess Celestia then took off.

Later that Night...

I couldn't sleep at all... Twilight was at the castle while I had stay on her Library and sleep on the floor with a small pillow since the bed was too small... and I'm not even in my home world at all... Suddenly, I heard a scream. It sounded like Fluttershy!

I slowly get up from my bed and go outside of the Library.

I saw this mysterious bat-like monster grabbing Fluttershy by her neck. Fluttershy was crying as she was bieng tortured.

"Let her go" I yelled as i tried attacking the monster. The monster simply punched me right on the face.

"Yusuke!" Fluttershy yelled with a soft voice.

I kept trying to attack the monster but none of what i did hurt him at all. The monster then drops Fluttershy on her back. The poor adorable creature was clearly hurt as she was reaching for her back. I felt anger....

"You bastard!" I yelled... Swearing for the first time in my life.

I then did this strange pose... I then slowly wave my right arm from left to right with my left hand clenched into a fist with the round side of the belt under the back of my hand....

"Henshin!" I yelled. I quickly threw my right hand ontop of my left hand which is still on the same position as before.

I felt this strange energy flow through me as my body gets engulfed in black flame. I feel my body morph into something different...

"Kuuga..." The bat-like monster said.

I look at my body, it was different. It was completely black with golden patterns all over it. My head had a horn with big round black eyes. I felt different... It felt like i was someone else... I was losing control..........
