//-------------------------------------------------------// The Apple Family Secret -by AppleJackie- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// 2 Long ago, Apple Buck was a kid, growing up on sweet apple acres. He had two older sisters. Apple Cider and Apple Crisp. Apple Buck longed for a brother. A close family friend, had a son. They Named Him Peach Cobbler. Peach Cobbler was quite younger then Apple Buck. The strong stallion would work hard, along side his "little brother". Apple Buck had petted Peach Cobblers Head. around his neck was a dark pink ribbon. Peach got bugged about this at school, and even thought bullies hurt him, his fathers ribbon was the most important thing to him. Peach cobbler came over one day and noticed that his closest friend didn't pet his head after the work they had done together. Instead, he had ran off the farm and met a fisher men's  daughter, named Apple Lace. (No relation), and left him. Peach Cobbler was heart broken, but he kept his feelings hidden. This happen every day for months, years! He was in love with this girl! Peach Cobbler was Happy for Apple Buck, he just didn't want him to think nothing of Peach. On bright sunny day, After Church, Peach Cobblers parents and Apple Bucks Parents had walked into the house. Peach Cobbler was 17 years old now, and trotted like a full fledge stallion right beside his "brother", When Apple Buck shooed him away. Peach refused, telling him he wasn't a kid, but secretly never wanted to leave his side or feel lonely. Apple Buck yelled at Peach Cobbler, screaming and hollering at him that he was acting so selfish lately, and not at all independent. Peach Cobbler cried. Apple Buck yelled, then Peach Cobbler. Apple Buck Said in a low calm voice "We are no longer Brothers" Apple Buck didn't know what was right in front of him until Peach Cobbler said "We never were." Apple Buck didn't propose to his SweetHeart that night. Instead he had broken up with her and told her it was for the best. She completely understood. The Boys forgave each other. But one sad night change both of the men. Apple Buck was already married to Apple Lace, and had two kids, Big Macintosh and AppleJack. They never wanted anymore. A Knock came upon the Apple Family Door. A in-better-condition Granny Smith, had opened it. There was Mr. Stamps, the letter carrier, at the door telling the Apple family It was about Peach Cobbler. Apple Buck shook his head, looking back on his wife, and mother She gave a muffled crying weep into her hoof. Granny Smith gathered the kids into the wagon. Apple Buck attached himself into the wagon, racing down to Ponyville. The cold ran trickled down his face, and Apple Lace held on to Big Macintosh, and Granny held on to AppleJack. Peach Cobbler was dead two hours after they got their. Peach Met a Women, Apple Harvest, Apple Bucks very distant Cousin, who had died a month before, giving birth to their Baby. Apple Buck Came out with a new baby. AppleJack came close to the child. It stopped crying once it was Face to face with AppleJack. AppleJack picked up Apple Bloom. Apple Buck said his last wish was to give his Daughter to them, to raise. Apple Lace cradled her new daughter. Kissing her face, reminding her of Apple Blooms mother. AppleJack parents died 2 years after, in a storm, leaving Granny to raise the kids. //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// 3 Apple Blooms head was aching, taking this all in hurt. Scootaloo wrapped her wings around Apple Bloom, and Sweetie nudged her friend up Apple Blooms chin. Big Macintosh had tears in her eye, knowing Apple Bloom had such good friends. "Are you gonna be fine?" Sweetie Belle asked. Apple Bloom pushed and squirmed his friends away, and trotted out of her bed. Princess Twilight placed a hoof on hey shoulder. "Honey, are you gonna be ok?" Apple Bloom stared at her in a icy cold way. "No!" And she trotted out the door. AppleJack sighed and placed her hat by her chest. "C'mon girls!" Said Pinkie, "let's go get Apple Bloom!" The CMCs and they girls expect for AJ, darted towards the door. A voice Boomed "NO!" Big Macintosh cleared his throat. "Y'all have to give her time, to adjust, Ah don't blame her for feeling confused, I would to. Besides, it's our family issue, not yours." He laid his red hoof gently over his Little sisters shoulder. AJ and him looked out the foggy afternoon window, way past the apple trees and hills. Fluttershy nudged under AppleJacks chin, and smiled. "Don't worry AppleJack, she'll come back." She said sweetly. AppleJack sighed. "Ah'm afraid not." Apple Bloom felt hot tears, rushing down her cheeks, as she cried and cried. She sat in an alley near SugarCube Corners, and cried. Never before had she felt abandoned like this before! She felt lonely, like everyone had turned on her. A nearby little colt had heard her crying, and rushed over. He looked at the yellow coat filly and sat beside her and watched her. Apple Bloom stopped crying and saw him, she nudged away, wiping her eyes. "Go away, I'm an orphan, a misfit. A nothing." The little colt chuckled and smiled. "Sounds like me." Apple Bloom saw his hoof reaching out to her. "The Names Star." His light navy blue coat and blonde mane had seemed to match his name. She hesitated, then let her hoof out to. "Apple Bloom." She noticed his blank flank. "Y'all don't got your cutie mark."  His cheeks turned bright red in embaressment, and he turned his face away. "Yeah, um I don't like it to be pointed out." He whispered, as busy ponies hustled by. Apple Bloom knew some fillies without there cutiemark felt uncomfortable talking about their "blank flanks", the words spun in her head like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoons word played like a broken record in her head, followed by giggles and mockery. "Sorry." Apple Bloom replied in a hush voice. "What makes you like me anyways?" The words shot out of her mouth like a .22 rifle. Star looked puzzled, then warmly smiled, he then looked up at the brick wall, which he two fillies were in between. "My Parents were amazing, named Night Blazer was my dad and Silk Lace was my mom. They were both unicorns, and worked hard. They married young and had me young. My Mom died while trying to give birth to my baby sister when I was 3." He held back tears. Apple Bloom scrunched up her legs and placed her arms over them. "Sorry." Star looked down. "Me too." He carried on. "And my Dad died while he help clear the sky at night, storm cloud came and killed him a year later. My Aunt Forest ans Uncle EverGreen, want me to live with them, but I refused." Apple Bloom looked puzzled. "Why?" "They lived to far away from where I wanted to spend the rest of my life." The Unicorn got up and smiled. Apple Bloom looked at Star , who seem sad, like, maybe he shouldn't of given up that opportunity. //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// 4 AppleJack had fed every pony, and watching them leave made her house feel empty, like it had a long time. Granny looked at her granddaughter. Granny knew AppleJack. She knew how strong she was, emotionally and physically. She also knew AppleJack could hold this in forever, till they lay her six feet underground. She gently trotted over. "AppleJack, Pudding, are you are ok?" Granny said smiling. AppleJack turn back towards the kitchen window. "Ah'm fine Granny!" She growled. "What's to worry about, huh? She ain't come back and Ah..." AppleJacks voice creeped off. Granny's, as wise as she was, didn't know what to say. Granny looked at AppleJacks bare head. "No Hat today?" She asked. Applejack scoffed, and smirked. "What the point, huh? Granny pulled her lips to the side of her face and sniffed. "Guess your right." Applejack turned around. She wasn't stupid. She knew that Granny was trying to trick her. AppleJack watched as her Big Brother came inside. He wasn't himself ever since Apple Bloom left. He usually sat in his room and read comics and talked about Japanese stuff. "Ah'm finished ma job." He announced and walked into his room. AppleJack was worried about her Brother. When Big Mac was little, he was diagnosed with high functioning autism. He was very Anti social and loved to work on the farm. AppleJack would put in patience with him and made him into the stallion he was today. "Mac?" AppleJack said yelling from the bottom of the stairs. "Yes?" He said under his breath. "Ah don't want y'all to read them dumb comics again." Big Mac groaned. "You ain't the boss of me AJ!" "Ah know," she said softly, "but them things will mess with yer head." "Leave me alone" he yelled. AJ threw her hoof down. Granny scolded. "APPLJACK DARLENE!" AppleJack ignored her elderly granny and continued with her brother. "Y'all listen to me! You used to read them books, and you got addicted to them, revovling your life around it! Ah made you into the Stallion you were! And now, your going to replace me, your family, your life, for that DAMN CRAP!" Granny stood up and began yelling. "APPLEJACK! OUTSIDE! MAC, THREW THEM COMICS OUT! AH DONT WANT TO SEE OR HEAR ABOUT THEM NO MORE, YOUNG STALLION!" The kids did what they were told and sighed. //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 Apple Bloom And Star galloped towards the train station. AppleBloom felt freed. She and Star threw their tickets at the conductor and ran into a cart. They flopped down on a bench, both laughing. "Ah never had to run for somethin' that was moving so slowly." Applebloom said as she placed her small luggage above them. Just then, a picture of Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, and her fell out of her bag. She picked it up and stared at it. When star looked over at the yellow coated filly. "AppleBloom?" He whispered, "what are you holding?" She looked up at him and sighed. "Just ma old friends..." She trailed off. She was so sleepy. All she wanted was AJ to cuddle her and tell her everything was gonna be ok. Star was fast asleep already. She pulled a blanket over top of him and sang a song that granny used to sing to her. "My little Darlin' I hope that you rest Cause I know that one day You will be blessed. Oh just be carful, For what it may bring. Oh sugar, Until then I will sing..." Apple Bloom curled back up into a ball and slept...waiting for a sign to leave. AppleBloom felt a unfamiliar hoof shaking her shoulder. She opened her eyes just A peek to see a light beige Pegasus stallion with purple hair and a tie woke her up. "Little Filly? Are you getting off here?" He asked. She gurgled under her voice. "Blugg...flurgg..." "Excuse me?" He asked. AppleBloom got up and looked out the window as a conductor yelled. "LAS PEGASUS....LAST STOP... LAS PEGASUS." She grabbed her bag and Placed Star on her back. As he laid asleep. She galloped out the train and into the long streets of las Pegasus. She couldn't believe they have traveled almost half way across the country. The first thing she did was Wake Star up. This he had to see. "STAR!" she yelled as she looked at him.HE woke up, and looked around. //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. The cutie mark crusaders failed another mission. "Apple bloom, you'll get your cutie mark, have patience." Said the young fillies big sister. "Ah feel like y'all don't even care!" Yelled AppleBloom. Her orange-ish eyes sparked. AppleJack turned around and gave her sister a concerned look. "Ah care, but Ah have to tell you to have patience, cause no one else seems to tell you." AppleBloom walked away, towards the barn. She trotted to her room. "No one cares." She wrapped her whole body in her blankets. She felt alone sometimes. Like this whole family. Wasn't her family, Like they weren't blood related. AppleJack met her Big Brother near the apple cellar. "Did you tell her yet? I saw her head into the barn?" The Red stallion said,  spitting on the ground. He wiped the sweat off his Brow, looking at his younger sister. "No, Ah didn't feel it was the right time." AppleJack put the last of the apples down into the cellar. Big Mac sighed. "We all agreed that you would tell her, very soon'!" AppleJack walked up from the cellar. "Ah know,, but Ah'll know when to tell her." "We'll, you better hurry. That anniversary is coming up, and we promised them we tell her then." AppleJack chuckled. "Y'all were always the wise one, huh?" "Eeyup" AppleBloom awoken to several ponies around her room. Rarity and Sweetie Belle were there. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. Twilight, Pinkie pie, and Flutter-shy. "What are y'all doin' in ma room?" She noticed her Big sister right beside her, next to her, her Big Brother, and her Granny. AppleBloom felt scared. "I'd thought it would be best if you tell with every pony you love around." Applejack said. She sighed along sigh. "We'll here it goes."
