Gilda, The Sky's The Limit

vile woke up in his room, and felt rather happy. Celestia had offered him a proper home, a bed that wasn't filled with who knows what inside, it was close to work and he was near the pony that he considered his best friend Celestia.

vile got out of bed, washed his face and went to do his duties as usual, standing outside the royal library.
he had been moved there under celestias personal request, which made him happy as for one, he was allowed into the library and look around for any books that suited his taste, Celestia would always visit him and talk a bit here and there and it was just a happy time for Vile in general.

zero came along to vile. "hay there vile, how's dating the princess going?" zero asked, smiling even though he had a black eye.
"what happened to your eye?" vile looked at the injury. it was heavily bruised and looked puffed up as well.
"I got into a fight with one of the recruits but I had a good reason! he said my sister was a scumbag that should be sent to the reaches of the Everfree forest and never talked to again... so my hoof met his face and now he might need a new jaw or a new face though his face to begin with wasn't a pleasant sight to begin with."
"that doesn't explain the eye though." vile added, getting out some medicine from his bag.
"his friend punched me so I broke his hoof... and his wing as well. Pegasus recover from broken wings right?"
"I believe so." vile said. as they were talking, a familiar face came by.

"hello there vile and um... I’m sorry I don't know your name Mr?" Celestia looked at zero with curiosity.
"names zero princess. I’m vile's best friend." Celestia smiled. "that excellent vile." Celestia group hugged zero and vile.
"a bit out of nowhere, don't you think princess?" asked zero, trying to get out of the hug.
"sorry about that, Luna is coming back today and I’m happy to see her again that's all. she hasn't been on holiday without me before and I’m worried." celestias smile lowered a bit. "when is she coming back?" asked vile.
"in an hour or so. why do you ask?" Celestia smile came back in full swing.
"well we could always throw her welcome back party, just the four of us."
"hay what about me?!" exclaimed zero. "okay zero you can be there as well. just get a cake please?"
"I shall! my hoofs will fly me there!" zero ran off, leaving Celestia with a confused face.
"is he always like that?" vile simply smiled. "just most of the time Cele." Celestia blushed slightly. "I like it when you call me Cele."
"why? it's just you’re a cute little name." Celestia giggled a bit. "because it sounds cute that's why."

an hour or so later...

zero brought the cake back and set it on a table vile had set up.
"Celestia, you sure that Luna's supposed to be back now? she's a bit late." said vile in curious tone.
"she's probably getting some sweets on the way back that's all." just then some knocking could be heard on the castle door.
Celestia went over and opened the door and almost screamed. Gilda came in and placed the young filly Luna on the ground.
"she used some magic on herself to turn her into a little kid." explained Gilda, who laughed at Luna stumbling around a bit.
"but why? she knows the risks of using these spells." Celestia said looking at the filly Luna.
"Luna, did you do this on purpose?" Celestia asked Luna. "yep and it's a lot of fun!"
"I can understand but why though?" Celestia looked worried as Luna wouldn't do anything like this without a good.
"I wanted Gilda to be my big sister." celestias jaw dropped. "pardon?"
"I want Gilda to be my big sister." Luna said, rolling her eyes. "but I’m your big sister, not her."
"you spend all day doing paper work and reading but you never spend any time with me anymore. Gilda's spent more time with me in a few months then you have a thousand years!" exclaimed Luna.
Celestia walked off, saddened by what she said. "I’ll go talk to her, zero you coming as well?" zero nodded and went off."

Celestia went to her room though forgot to lock the door, allowing vile to enter.
he saw Celestia crying heavily. "Celestia... she's wrong, your still her sister." vile said sheepishly, not knowing how to act in this situation.
"she's right you know. I haven't been a good sister, I haven't spent any time with her."
"well you've been busy looking after a kingdom, which is more important." Celestia looked at vile with slight anger.
"no it's not! she's my sister, she matters more to me than anything!" Celestia exclaimed.
"I’m sorry, but you shouldn’t take your frustration out on yourself, go spend time with her." vile placed a caring hoof on her shoulder.
"well how will take over then until I get back?" Celestia saddened. "I’ll gladly do it for you. it'll just be some paper work an-"
Celestia held vile tightly. "oh thank you vile! I could kiss you!" celestias eye's widened in reaction to what she just said.
"I wouldn’t mind that to be honest." vile said in almost a whisper though Celestia heard him and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"thank you vile, for everything." Celestia smiled.

a few hours later...

Luna and Gilda met up with Celestia and vile at dinner.
Celestia looked at Luna and smiled. "Luna, what would you like to do tomorrow?" Luna looked at Celestia.
"I know you Cele, your always busy and never have any time for me anymore." Luna frowned.
"I have made time for you and we can do whatever you want to do." Luna smiled brightly.
"well okay then, but if you’re lying, then I’m Gilda's sister." Luna looked over at Gilda. "please Gilda, please?"
"I dunno. she is your proper sister after all." Gilda smiled sheepishly.
"but you feel more like a proper sister then Celestia does. you've spent time with me, we share secrets and all that other sister stuff." Gilda shed a tear. "that's nice of you to say. I would stay but I’m off to bed." Gilda went off to bed.
"Luna, all Celestia asks is that you give her a chance and that's all." vile said to Luna.
"okay Celestia, tomorrow we'll spend the day together."

it had become night and due to Luna being a filly again, she fell to sleep rather early. vile had tucked her into bed and went off to his room were Celestia was waiting. "thank you vile...for everything."
"it was nothing princess. I would do anything for the people I care about." vile yawned. "well I’m off to bed, see you tomorrow Cele and good luck with Luna." vile yawned again and went off to bed and so did Celestia to her own room.
