Gilda, The Sky's The Limit

late at night everyone was in a deep sleep, dreaming about things like the future and happy thoughts, all at peace of mind with the world... all except Gilda. the pain from her missing wing kept her up all the night and she could't sleep.
she moved around a bit, trying to get comfy but all attempts failed. all the movement woke up princess Luna who looked over at the tired griffon and gave a caring gaze over to Gilda.

"Gilda, are you having trouble sleep?" Gilda sighed and explained that the pain from her missing wing was making it impossible for her to sleep. "i have something that will help." Luna got out of a drawer near her bed a small vial of light blue liquid.
"crushed up moon flowers always help me when i can't sleep." Luna gave the vial to Gilda. "thanks Luna." she drank the blue liquid and went to sleep almost instantly. Luna looked over the sleeping griffon and smiled. "i'm glad your back Gilda. i missed you." Luna closed her eye's and went to sleep with a smile on her face.

the next morning...

Gilda woke and felt happy for the first time in a while. she looked over and saw that Luna was still asleep.
she smiled and thought back to when she knew rainbow dash and all the good times she had with her. Gilda had almost forgotten the incident pony vile. still she didn't want to look back at that though. she had lost her best friend from that incident.
Luna woke up and gave Gilda a smile. "i'll go make you some pancakes Gilda." Luna got out of the bed and went to the kitchen. Gilda smiled. she thought about everything Luna had done for her. "i owe her for everything, though she owe's me for saving her i think. i need to clear my head." Gilda got up and followed the smell of pancakes.

Luna finished making the pancakes and went out of the kitchen and saw Gilda. "hi there Gilda. i see you came for the pancakes i see?" Luna giggled a bit and gave the Delicious breackfest to Gilda. Luna ate her's in a civilized way were as Gilda ate her's in one bite. "these are good Luna. you seem to be good everything except flying." luna smiled.
"that's nice of you to say. gilda i wanted to ask something but i'm curious, what would you say to me if i gave up flying?"
"well you can't really fly in the first place but i would say that you have so many other things your good at that make you wonderful and unique." luna blushed slightly. "just curious that's all. i wanted to ask you if you wanted one of my wings?"
gilda was shocked at this. "wait what?!"
luna gave a caring smile to gilda. "flying is your life gilda, and i'm giving you your life back." gilda wanted to cry tears of joy but she didn't want her closest friend hurt for her own reasons but she was offering and flying was everything to her.
"can i have day or 2 to think about this? i need to think this over."
"of course gilda. besides i need to go to pony vile today. my sisiter thought it would be a good idea to go down to pony vile for nightmare night." luna gave gilda a caring smile. "when you want to talk about again, don't hesitate to ask."
"okay luna. thanks." luna gave a hug to gilda.

zero and raisan were talking in the hall "and that's how i made a dragon set fire to himself!" said raisan, leaving zero with a shocked face. "okay that's bad ass!" zero gave a salute to raisan. "no need for that, i am after a dragon slayer. why did you think Celestia made me the captain?" vile walked along to zero. "hey zero i need to ask you something a bit odd?"
"sure go ahead." vile took a deep breath. "is the princess Celestia in any relation ships with anyone?"
"nah i don't think so... you want to got out with her don't you?" zero smirked. "i.. yes. am i allowed to though?"
"of course you are my tiny friend!" zero laughed for some reason. "sorry about that. i had a drink or 2 with some of the other guards last night and when most would have a hangover, i get hyper and laugh like raccoon eating a muffin!"
"okay, i don't know how to react to that. but anyway how would i ask her out anyway? she's not like other mares."
"my tiny friend, just ask her out. for blooming sake i don't get why most pony's have trouble asking someone out. wait can we get a snack first i'm starving." zero and vile went of to the mess hall for some lunch.

"so anyway back to what i was saying." zero took a bite out of his sandwich. "you gotta just ask her and get a answer and that's all. it's worked for me and it shall work, i swear on my sword!"
"how well does that work anyway?" zero laughed at the question. "my friend, I've been with about 10..20 different mares in the past year alone so it works." zero gave a sigh with a smile. "though i don't aim for a long relationship. i had a girlfriend way back a couple of years ago with a pony who had some funny eye's but I've forgotten most of those details, what about you?" zero ate the rest of his sandwich and drank some purple liquid.
"I've never had a proper relation ship before. i've always found that i can't talk to a lot mares as i can't have a decent conversation with them."
"and you like the princess because she's smart i'm guessing and your smart as well so you 2 are a perfect match in that department. wait what time is it?!" zero looked kinda worried though he still kept his smile somehow.
"it's 2 a clock." zero got up. "sorry i gotta go see a old friend of mine. good luck with Celestia." zero ran off and vile walked to were Celestia usually was during the day, the library.

vile arrived at the library and luckily for him Celestia was there. vile walked up to Celestia.
"good afternoon vile, what brings you here?"
"i wanted to ask you something. would mind going out with me?" Celestia smiled at vile.
"vile your a good friend but i'm sorry but no. i'm busy at the moment with the griffon kingdoms requests."
"well maybe i can help you." Celestia smiled at vile. "of course you can help."
"so what do i have to do exactly?" vile asked to Celestia.
"most of these forms are for supplies and such. just sign in my name and that's all you have to do."
for a while vile got on with what he had to do, signing some forms here and there.

"vile do you mind if ask but why did you want to go out with me anyway?" asked Celestia, making vile blush a bit.
"i just wanted to spend time with you that's all." Celestia smiled. "that's a sweet thing to say but i don't want a serious relationship. i don't want to go through that kind of pain again." celestias smile vainised.
"you've loved in the past i see. i'm sorry for bringing it up." vile looked up at celestia and saw her crying.
"i'm fine vile. just thinking about something that's all. vile, would you be friends with someone even though they would live forever?" Vile simply smiled at Celestia.
"of course i would." celestia gave a quick peck on the cheek to vile. "in that case would you like to go out tomorrow? we could have a picnic somewere." vile smiled. "i'd like that a lot. of course i'll go."

it was late at night and everyone was going to bed now. vile, zero and raisin had gone home and Celestia had also gone to sleep as well. Luna and Gilda were still awake however. Luna had taken Gilda to the outskirts of canterlot for some star gazing.

"that constalation over there is orions belt." Luna pointed out to Gilda.
"yeah i see it. you know this is nice. to be honest i thought this was gonna be boring as hell." Luna smiled at Gilda.
"well i'm glad you enjoyed it because i wanted to do something tonight but i need someone to help me with it."
"sure i'll help. what do i need to do anyway?" Gilda and Luna stood up.
"just stand still. this won't hurt a bit." Luna's horn started to glow and a wave of blue magic enveloped Gilda.
the magic broke and Luna feel to the ground but the spell was a success.
"are you okay Gilda?" Luna asked but was put back on her feet by Gilda. "i'm fine. what did you do any way?"
"i was trying to give you you wing back. and it worked, look!" Luna pointed to Gilda's new wing.
unlike her other wing which was that of a eagle, this new wing was that of a dragon.
"Luna this is so awesome! i don't know what to say!" Luna gave a tight hug to Gilda.
"consider it a early nightmare's night gift Gilda." Luna teleported herself and Gilda back home were they went to sleep soon afterwards.
