Sometimes, it is very lucky that emotions only truly experienced by equines and their close relations.
If it had been otherwise, the squirrel that had been displaced two feet to the right would have promptly shat itself as a fiendishly radiant ball of plasma tore itself to phase with the reality it had rendered itself in, then promptly shat itself again as the unholy conglomeration of magic and science spat out a creature who's skin seemed to be gleaming metal, wearing a great green billowing cloak, and the forces of gravity threw him downwards into the soft loamy soil of the White Tail Woods. His impact threw dirt about in almost all directions save the one it was most comfortable with and caused the creature to let out a grunt of pain.
The metallic beast rose from its rather impressive crater, first onto his knees, then up to standing on two legs, letting its other limbs dangle vestigially. For a moment, he simply seemed to stare into nothingness. Very few beings would have been been able to comprehend that the creature was actually using its mind to sort through loads of data greater than only the best of ponies could have even thought about reading, and faster than they would have thought possible.
'Hm,' He thought, 'well, at least I know that the entanglement redirection motor was in fact not ready for human testing.'
He looked through the virtually nonexistent visor that separated his eyes from whatever horrors his point of impact possibly held in store for him. The plants were green, the bark seemed brown, and the dirt was flush with minerals and nutrients. And the vibrancy was extraordinary. The creature took a moment to enjoy the visual stimulation before making an adjustment to his visor to filter out the excessive color.
'Always easier to think when embraced by the familiar,' He rubbed the shining metal of his exoskeleton. He tried to remember the last time he'd taken it off, and was only vaguely surprised to remember that it had been nearly a year. And with good reason. It was self sanitizing, and nearly perfect protection, plus it was a fashion statement he was rather fond of.
His mind moved quickly back to his present situation. None of his satellites were responding to his signals. Ergo, he was no longer on earth. Simple enough. The air was breathable, if a bit oxygen rich, and the organisms nearby were composed of carbon compounds and water, as were his homes. His sensors highlighted a squirrel that chittered at him from where it sat on a branch of a robust oak tree. The metal encased alien pondered this. So, perhaps he was on earth, but simply a pre-satellite era one. He mentally frowned. But, his creation was designed to move matter and its residual energy through space, not time, and hadn't been programmed to take into account the difference in location of a chronologically different earth, so that too seemed unlikely.
'Just planet with visually identical organisms, then.' He thought as he did a visual double-check to make sure that his armor and cloak were indeed unharmed. As much as he trusted his computer, especially his latest creation, it gave him a sense of security to see it himself. 'That seems probable enough,' He let out a muffled snort of laughter, 'after all, how many of my plots have been foiled by that talking space raccoon by now? Ten? A hundred?'
The soft soil and grass of the White Tail Woods was crushed beneath the adamantium vibranium alloy of the metal molded monster. "It is no matter." He said, seemingly to himself despite its volume. "With my armor at my beck and call, I'll make a universal locator in no time at all, and in the meantime..."
His cloak billowed behind him dramatically.
"The inhabitants of this planet will learn the face of Doom."
