Rainbow Dash lay awake next to Twilight Sparkle, her loving partner of 10 months. Twilight was snoring gently, more of a sigh really but it was clear that she was asleep. Rainbow Dash, on the other hand, had too much to think about. She had recently moved in with Twilight at the library and all was going well in the relationship, but Rainbow Dash knew that something was missing. Missing for her at least.
For as long as she could remember she had had an inherent desire to be treated like a foal. It felt so pure and so good. It was a sexual desire aswell but it had become more than that. It was how Rainbow Dash wanted to live. It was what she felt was a natural state. And it was a desire that she wanted to share with Twilight.
However whenever she felt that she should say something she convinced herself that Twilight wouldn't accept it and leave her. She wanted more than anything for Twilight to be approving of her lifestyle choice but it was so difficult. The emotions didn't make sense in her head.
Rainbow Dash groaned and rolled onto her side, pushing a pillow onto her head in frustration. The bed shook quite violently and Twilight stirred in her sleep, rolling over and waking up. Twilight woke up to see Rainbow Dash looking at her, holding a pillow around her head. Rainbow Dash inwardly kicked herself.
"Hey Twilight." She said shakily.
Twilight was still half asleep. "Rainbow Dash? What's going on? Are you alright?" She asked tiredly. She was always worrying about Rainbow Dash, especially when she was flying.
Rainbow Dash blushed "I just couldn't sleep." She said, smiling.
Twilight smiled and cuddled up closer to Rainbow Dash, kissing her on the forehead. "Okay."
Rainbow Dash relaxed in her partner's embrace and snuggled Twilight in return. Twilight made her feel all her problems were gone. Of course they weren't gone but Rainbow Dash was willing to forget that for a few minutes, just to relax. Eventually Rainbow Dash fell asleep forgetting the worries she previosly had.
The Next Morining
Rainbow Dash woke up in a cold bed, instantly realising that Twilight wasn't next to her. She got up and streched her various muscles wondering where Twilight was. She slowly plodded down the stairs, into the main part of the library. It was there that she saw Twilight, stacking books on their various shelves.
Twilight looked up, hearing the gentle creak of the stairs. "Finally." She said to herself. Twilight was very much a morning person and believed that no moment should be wasted. Rainbow Dash jumped down the rest of the stairs and glided over to Twilight, landing next to her.
"I heard that." She said, gently pushing past Twilight, heading to the kitchen.
She began opening up cupboards at random, still not accustomed to where everything was kept. "How long was I out for?" She called out.
Twilight sighed and walked into the kitchen. "When I talked to you it was just past midnight. You woke up just then and it's 11 now. Also if your looking for cereal it's right there." She said, raising a hoof, indicating to the box on the bench.
Rainbow Dash looked over at the box.
"Oh" She said, going and grabbing the box off the bench. Twilight was already levitating the milk out of the fridge and setting it down on the table.
"So what was wrong last night? You looked pretty out of it?" She asked. Twilight was once again worrying for Rainbow Dash's wellbeing.
Rainbow Dash remained silent and began munching on her cereal. She didn't really want to talk about what was happening last night.
Twilight walked closer to her trying to make eye contact. "Rainbow Dash?" She was getting rather worried for Rainbow Dash now. She was usually very talkative.
Rainbow Dash continued staring down at her cereal bowl, no longer eating. Her head was going through everything that she could say, incuding the truth. She was trying to figure out the best option as quickly as possible but it was still taking forever. There was a figurative war raging in her mind. Sweat was beggining to form on her forehead now and all her muscles were very rigid.
"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight shouted her tone becoming very concerned.
Rainbow Dash stood up in a rush. "I have to go." She choked out, sweating heavily now. With that she shot out of the room and out of the building itself, leaving a confused Twilight standing alone.
Rainbow Dash was flying as fast as she could. She didn't even know where she was going but as long as it was away from Twilight she would be fine. Away from the confrontation that she was faced with. Tears had begun forming in her eyes, not just from the speed she was travelling but also from the frustration she was facing.
She was sick of it. It had been bottled up for so long now, she just needed to get rid of it.
She looked up and found herself flying headfirst into a tree. She banked left as fast as she could but her wing clipped the branch of the tree and she tumbled to the ground.
Rainbow Dash felt like screaming. She had had enough of today. With a growl she pushed herself back up and turned to the tree. She slammed her hoof into the bark of the tree making a loud thud. She did it again, alternating hooves, punching the tree over and over, sending fragments of bark flying. She kept going until she was in a rage, putting all here energy into every swing. With one final smash she let out a shout and collapsed to the ground, all the energy sapped from her body.
She did not know how long she had been there before she saw the lavender hooves walking towards her.
"Rainbow Dash! Are you okay?" Twilight asked. She had been worried sick about her partner.
Rainbow Dash sat up a scowl on her face and tears in her eyes. Twilight ran the rest of the way towards her and hugged her, with her fore-hooves.
"Rainbow Dash. What's wrong?" Twilight said. She was scared now. What could have happened to her?
Rainbow Dash pushed Twilight away and sat up. "What do you know about foal sitting, Twilight?" She asked tiredly. She had to do it sometime and she was tired of secrets.
"Foal sitting. What are you talking about Rainbow Dash?" The question surprised Twilight and now she was legitimately confused.
Rainbow Dash put on a grim smile and looked at Twilight. "This is going to take a while..."
