Earth. A beautiful planet, populated by many species, most prominent are the ponies.
A peaceful race, ponies tend to stay away from conflict. They live in harmony, and, while it is not perfect, their society is the closest thing on the planet to a utopia.
However, even the best communities have flaws. One of the worst is the dislike of certain outsiders, such as griffons and changelings. And anything that strikes then as to weird, something amiss in their 'perfect' lives, also is shunned. One such practice is that of gay marriage. Homosexual ponies are generally discriminated. Sadly, there are very little laws against this.
So, when the Changeling Remnant War began, Equestria, which had been becoming more and more militarized, took action. It mobilized its army and sent it to attack the leftovers of the changeling invasion force that staged a coup against the capital of Canterlot.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, in Griffonia, the lords of their council decided unanimously to aid Equestria in the war effort. It's nearby neighbor of Eagland, land of the bat ponies, however, stayed silent. Little did anypony know that the Eaglish government was being edged toward a different tide... To the south, the mysterious zebras and seclusive Saddle Arabians opted to stay out of the growing conflict.
The changeling empire, a stalwart bastion of the last true changeling nation, recoiled, as it was attacked from the west by Griffonia, the east by Equestria, and from within by extremist groups.
As war settles across the land, ponies settle about their daily lives. They live in the peace and harmony their used to.
Across the world, little do they know, around fifty unique individuals, each special in their own way, are picked out.
However, we are going to focus on one of those individuals in this story. Nightly Weather, a homosexual Pegasus stallion falling upon hard times.
