Chapter 1

Outside of an old high school, everything was peaceful, as was the neighborhood surrounding it, but it was, sadly, not to last. A loud bell sounded three times, causing waves after waves of teenagers to storm out of the school in a thunderous uproar, bringing the school and neighborhood to life under the midday sun.

After most of the students had left, a few still lingered in the courtyard. Out of the school’s steel doors walked one, final group of friends.  Four guys and one girl. The first of the guys to come with an award winning smile on his face was slightly tanned, wearing a grey polo, blue jeans, and a white jacket, said jacket having a horn and two ears sown into the hood, and a pair of purple shade stitched into the hood. His face was slightly angular, with a light patch of five o’clock shadow along his jaw. Rectangular glasses sat on the bridge of his nose, with light brown eyes, and his short cut brown hair matching them perfectly. He, was Joel.

Following came two others, almost exactly the same, save some distinct features. Both were wearing plain red jackets, black shirts, blue jeans, had brown eyes, and brown hair. THAT, is where the similarities ended. The first, Cody, had a slightly rounded face, and his hair was down past his ears, and then slightly curled. The other, Bryan, had a more angular face, glasses as far up against his face as they would, and very short brown hair. Both of the friends were laughing at each other.

The final two came out, being the final boy, and the girl. The boy, Jp, wore a black Jacket and black polo, black jeans, was also Caucasian, had even darker brown hair, darker eyes, and short, curly brown hair. The girl, Nastassia, (Na-Sta-Ssi-A), was lightly colored, wearing a red polo, grey jacket, blue jeans, and a rounded face, light green eyes, and bowl cut, short brown hair.

Another joke was spoken, and the entire group burst into rambunctious laughter. The group then left the school grounds, heading deep into the urban wonderland. Jp was the first to speak, his voice was deep and slightly raspy. “So, you found some sort of old path, Joel?” Joel chuckled as he led the group through the streets, the sun, oddly, bearing lightly on them.

“Yeah, I did. There were some crazy ass symbols on the ground too. Thought you guys might like ‘em.” Joel’s voice was smooth and leveled, like a fine, Persian rug. Nastassia rolled his eyes at that.

“Weird symbols? Come on Joel, this is Miami, not Transylvania for Christ’s sake.” Cody laughed, pulling up one of the tails of his jacket, turning to face her while walking backwards, putting on a decent Dracula accent.

“You never know, my dear! I could be anywhere, around any corner, and maybe even….” He leaned forward. “Your attic.” He said, raising his eyebrows before spinning back around, letting go of his jacket tail as he did.

Bryan face palmed as Cody turned around, his voice, (MINE!!!), slightly deep, and slightly intelligent.  “Cody, that was a good impression and all that, but….NEVER, AGAIN! Without me that is.” The two chuckled and gave each other a fist-bump. Cody shrugged at him in reply. After a few minutes of walking, the group turned into an old alley, and stood in awe. The entire alley, which was a strange thing to see in an urban Miami neighborhood, was covered in vines, thick and greener than grass. Jp whistled at that sight.

Joel walked ahead and started to move vines out of the way, grunting slightly from the ffort. The group walked over slowly, stepping over the vines on the ground carefully. When close enough, they watched him unveil a circle with strange symbols scattered along the inside of it, and five hand prints around it, all done in now faded white paint.

Bryan walked up a frowned, kneeling down to run a hand over the circle and the runes. “Dude, this shit looks demonic as FUCK…..But it’s still cool as hell.”

Cody chuckled at him. “You read too much, but yeah, it’s cool man.” Cody looked over the symbols with mild interest before settling on the prints. HE grinned and kneeled down, setting his hand on the nearest one. “Hey guys! Grab a print, I gots an idea!”

Some hestitantly, other excitedly, put their right hands on their respective prints, nothing exactly happeneing, until Cody

said, "Can you feel the Schaudenfraude!?" Everyone groaned at him in exasperation. Jp was the first to try to get up, only to find he couldn't remove his hand from the print.

    "Holy shit! I can't move!"

Nastassia rolled her eyes at hm and tried to move her own to prove him wrong, but found she couldn't either, much to her horror. Everyone started to try and remove their hands from their prints, but to no avail, and started voicing their concerns, even calling for help. None of them noticed the sudden heavy cloud coverage.

That is, until the thunder sounded. All five looked up, seeing thick, grey thunder clouds above, thunder sounding from them loudly, but no lightning. Everyone started to panic, looking around and calling for help. It was during this, Cody looked to the circle again, watching the symbols change to words. "What the-Guys! The circle!"

Everyone turned their attention to the accursed white circle in astonishment, all going silent for a few moments as the words finished forming. Nastassia was the one to read them. "Young Hearts, magic of old, change what the fates foretold. Turn back time, through this rhyme, let fates meet, and world's collide? What does that mean? WHAT'S GOING ON!?"

The only response she got was the thunder storm above going haywire, lightning spreading through the clouds, causing the awestruck teenagers to look to the sky again, in time for a single, incredibly large lightning bolt to strike the center of the circle, sending their screaming souls into darkness, and their bodies to vanish. The entire alley was stripped of its green, the circle vanished, and the clouds spread and slowly vanished. When all was said and done, there was nothing left in the alley except the bare walls and floor....

Date: Unknown

Time: Unknown

Location: Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, Everfree forest.

The ancient castle laid vacant, and well lit despite no torches or lights being lit or on, at the moment, nothing having disturbed in centuries. But then, a small ball of light formed into existance, growing steadily, till it was the size of a large globe inside a planetarium. Lightning sparked along its surface, before it exploded outward, disturbing nothing but the floor as it deposited five young, but not harmed, teenagers on the ground before vanishing completely. Out of the five, Joel was the first to recover from the sudden experience, followed by Bryan, Nastassia, Jp, and Cody. Everyone started to look around, scared and confused, except fot Joel that is. His gave was fixated on a stone stand, holding five stone orbs with a gem carved into each of them.

He continued to look about the room, noting the columns, the stanied glass windows, the floor. All of it. And also that it al seemed so familiar. And that's when he placed it. He got up and walked over to the stand, before crossing his arms while tilting his head at the orbs. "Hey, Bryan, your the guy who mucks around on the web all day. Am I wrong when I say that I think these are what I think they are?"

Bryan got up and rolled his eyes at the jab about the web. Not his fault for being a writer and scripter....Ok, so it is. (Shaddup!) Pushing his glasses against his face, he walked over and gave the orbs a long, hard stare, before letting his face fall to shock. "Holy shit....The Elements of Harmony." Everyone but Joel stopped and stared, at Bryan an the stone Elements.

Joel sighed and facepalmed. "And THAT'S what I was afraid of.." Everyone slowly made their way over, till they were all standing side by side, gazing at the Elements from one of their favorite shows, or rather, the fandom of it.

Cody ran his hands through his hair, turned around, walked ten feet away, and started to pace. "No way. Holy shit no way. No fucking way. Nope, nuh uh." He continued rambling from there. Nastassia and Jp just gawked at the Elements while Joel and Bryan started thinking.

"OK. Joel, we're in Equestria before Nightmare moon's defeat. You think we landed in the Season one Premiere?" Joel shrugged before looking to Nastassia.

"Hey, Nastassia, what were the words from that damn circle again?"

Nastassia shook her head, snapping herself out of her stupor. "Huh? Wha-Oh. Um...They were, 'Young Hearts, magic of old, change what the Fates foretold. Turn back time, with this rhyme, and let fates meet, and worlds collide.' Why?"

Jp frowned, shaking his head before slowly lowering himself to the floor, sitting on his ass and crossing his legs. Joel and Bryan looked to each other and shrugged, giving up trying to understand the situation. Nastassia looked at the ground and thought a bit herself before speaking again. "So, we're in Equestria like some sort of messed up HiE fic....Does that mean we can't go home either?" Everyone stopped and stared at her in shock, having not even thought about that.

They all stared at the floor now, their thoughts turning to their families and friends back on Earth. Tears started to shed from Nastassia's eyes first. She ran to the closest standing human being, Bryan, and bear hugged him, burying her face in his shoulder. (Please note that I put a NO SHIPPING tag in the description, thank you!)

Bryan wasted no time in hugging her back, tears silently streaming from his eyes. JP got to his feet, wiping the tears from his eyes fruitlessly before walking over and joining in, then Joel and Cody, turning it into a good ol' group hug.

They stood there for what felt like hours, letting one another cry on a friend's shoulder, before finally breaking off. Bryan removed his glasses and wiped away his tears before speaking. "Ok...We're alone folks, but we aren't helpless. We wait here for Twilight and the Mane 6, help beat Nightmare, then see if Celestia can find us a way home."

Cody snarled at him. "SERIOUSLY!? That's your plan dude!? Who knows how long till they get here!? We could be here for months! YEARS! We need to go, NOW!"

Jp walked up to him and smacked him upside the head. "DUDE! Shut it, OK? I don't like it either, but complaining won't get us home sooner. We don't even know the way through the forest! I don't know about you, but I'm with Bryan on this. What about you guys?" One by one, the other nodded. Cody threw up his hands in exasperation, starting to pace in the middle of the room again.  That is, until one of the glass windows exploded inward, shards flying everywhere as a shadow flying through and landing scant twenty feet from Cody. It was a wolf, made completely of wood, twigs, branches, etc. A Timberwolf.

Cody stopped dead in his tracks and stared at the Timberwolf like a deer in the headlights. The wolf snarled at him, slowly getting ready to pounce. Cody briefly heard the sound of stone against stone, and the sound of pounding feet before the Timberwolf suddenly jumped away, and something, no, someone jumped into his vision. It was Bryan, armed with one of the Elements in his right hand, growling at the Timberwolf. “Yo! Flea bag, over here! Fight someone who ain’t afraid of fighting back!”

One by one, the friend’s armed themselves with an Element, and joined Bryan in a line. Joel handed the last Element to Cody, smiling at him as he joined the others. Cody snapped out of his state and joined them. Nasatassia was shaking slightly, Joel was trying to keep his cool, Jp was gzing at everyone one at a time, and Cody was hoping they could win. The only one who was eerily calm, was Bryan. The wolf sensed this, and snarled, staring directly at him. Bryan stepped forward, cracking his neck. “Buddy, you might as well run, before I kick your ass to Kingdom come.” The Timberwolf didn’t back down at his threat, but perked up suddenly, and turned to the door, putting its wooden tail between its legs, letting its ears fall, and backing away from it. Everyone watched as it did so in confusion, and even more so when it jumped out the window it came through. Joel looked back to the doors, to see a black, starry mist coming from under it.

He looked around before pointing to the pillars on the far wall. “Guys! It’s Nightmare! Hide!” They wasted no time, everyone sprinting to a pillar and hiding behind it. Everyone poked their heads out slightly and watched as the starry mist came from under the doors fully, and formed into Nightmare Moon, her armor gleaming from the moonlight coming from the now shattered window. She kept her gaze on the floor as she spoke.

“These ponies don’t know when to give up! I’ve thrown plenty of obstacles in their way, and yet they still persist!” She started trotting towards the stand, continuing her rant. “And worst of all, they may be able to succeed where I cannot, in using the Elements! No matter, if they try, I can always-“ At this, she looked up to where the Elements WERE and gasped. “WHAT!? The Elements, gone!? HOW!?” She growled and stomped her hoof, then taking several deep breaths. “No matter, they do not possess them, and neither do I…” She turned into her misty form, which seemed cool to the five Bronies, and flew out the window saying, “I’ll have to find a different way to deal with them…”

After she left, things got eerily quiet. JP was about to leave his hiding spot when the doors opened slowly, and the Mane six walked in with Twilight in the lead. They all walked towards the stand and gasped in astonishment, Twilight speaking first. “The Elements! They’re gone!”

Rainbow flew into the air and looked around. “I bet Nightmare Moon took them! Afraid we’ll beat her!”

Bryan, JP, Cody, and Nastassia stared in wonder, not having noticed that Joel was now standing in front of his pillar, tossing his Element from hand to hand casually. JP finally took notice, and to his amusement, also noted that the horn, glasses, and ears were gone from Joel’s jacket. Joel looked to him and winked, before looking to the Mane Six and whistling, causing them all to turn and gasp at him. Twilight noticed what was in his hands and gasped louder, pointing it out. “That thing has one of the Elements!” Joel reached up with a free hand and pulled back his hood with a smile.

“No need to worry. I’m on your side.” This got him curious, or in Rainbow’s case, furious, stares from the Mane six, and glares from the other humans, still in their hiding spots. Joel leaned down and set the Element on the floor before sending it rolling towards them. Twilight wasted no time in snatching it up in her magic and bringing it over before glaring at him.

“Where are the others?” Joel shrugged and motioned everyone out of hiding. They were reluctant. Bryan broke the tension by coming out, smiling sheepishly.

“Timberwolf broke in, so we armed ourselves. Sorry for the inconvenience.” He slowly walked over, stopped ten feet from the Mane six, before setting his Element on the ground, raising his hands in the air and backing away towards Joel. One by one, the other humans came out, and gave their Elements to the Mane six. Twilight wasted no time and tried to activate the Elements. Bryan noticed the mist in the window. ‘Nightmare’s back….Shit, it has to go at least CLOSE to how it happened in the show…’ Bryan looked around, and then pointed at the farthest corner. “HEY! What’s that!?”

Surprisingly, it worked. Everyone but Twilight looked towards the corner. The Nightmare slipped in, and encased the Elements in her starry whirlwind, and Twilight jumped in, just like the show. When everyone looked back, Twilight was gone. Bryan feigned a look of shock. “Wha-Where’d the Purple one go?” Pinkie zipped around the room before popping in between the two groups, standing on her rear hooves and shrugging.

Joel caught on and looked to the staircase nearby, pointing to it. “Everyone split up.” He then points at the remaining Mane Six. “You guys go upstairs, we’ll search outside. MOVE!” They wasted no time, trotting over to the stairs and up them. The humans stayed where they were and waited till their HOOFsteps faded into echoes. Cody slapped a hand onto Bryan’s shoulder.

“Nice. Fucking. Job. That was perfect dude!” Bryan grinned at the praise.

“Had to do something so they became the Elements. Seems my guess worked. Now, who wants to go see why Rainbows are badass?” The others nodded, and they slowly made their way up the stairs, trying to make as little noise as possible. As soon as they gout to the top, is was just in time to see the wave of Rainbow colored magic come from the now Elements of Harmony and towards Nightmare.

Joel couldn’t help but cackle madly, yelling, “FEEL THE POWER OF THE RAINBOW, MOTHER FUCKER!!!” Bryan and Cody whooped and high fived each other. JP pinched the bridge of his nose, while Nastassia hid her smile behind one of her hands. In less than a minute, the deed was done, and the sun was coming in from the windows. The five Bronies and Six ponies watched in awe as Princess Celestia came in through a broken window, and the Mane six bowing to her, except Twilight, who went up and nuzzled her, which he returned.

Celestia looked to the staircase, at us, specifically. Her face grew serious, and her horn lit with magic. The five looked around with curiosity, noting nothing was different. Celestia looked like she was concentrating even harder, before letting her magic stop flowing. She walked past the Mane six, who stood as she passed, and stopped before the five humans. She was easily at eye level with most of them, being six feet tall from head to hoof. She eyes them over critically before speaking in a stern, motherly voice. “Who, or what, are you?”

Joel had to try, he walked forward, bowed, and began. “We, are just a few, of many-“

He was cut off when Bryan smacked him upside the head. “Finish that line, I hit you again man.” He then looked to Celestia, his stern expression softening. “Sorry about that. Anyways, we’re humans. I’m Bryan,” he pointed to Joel, “That’s Joel.” He then pointed to Cody. “That’s Cody, and near him are Nastassia and Jean-Paul. We call him JP for short.”

JP stepped forward, and the Mane six joined Celestia’s side. Before he continued where Bryan left off, he pointed to where the Nightmare was, and where Luna was just stirring. “Um…Shouldn’t you check on her?” Celestia perked up, turning around and swiftly trotting to her sister’s side, a warm smile spreading on her features.

“It is good to see you dear sister. I know it has been a thousand years….but I hope you have stopped hating, and can forgive me, and accept my friendship once again.”

Luna looked up at her sister before leaping at her, wrapping her forelegs around her neck. “Sister!”

Joel leaned over to Bryan and whispered, ‘my heart exploded, TWICE!’

Bryan chuckled and watched as Pinkie burst into tears before perking up. “OMIGOSH! You know what this calls for!?” Joel raised his hand.

“Um, excuse me? I think I know the answer to that question, can I say it?” Pinkie turned and nodded, her eyes sparkling. Joel got on his knees and yelled to the roof. “A PARTY!!!!” Pinkie jumped up and clapped her forehooves together, giggling. The other four humans facepalmed. Celestia trotted back over, a curious Luna at her side, and spoke towards Bryan.

“Bryan, was it? May I ask why you are here? Humans are but a myth in Equestria.” Bryan frowned and pushed his glasses against his face again. “Ma’am, let’s wait till that party is done….It’s a long story.”

Celestia nodded and activated her magic again, only to let her eyes widen in surprise, before frowning and deactivating it. Nastassia took this as a bad sign. “Wh-what’s wrong?”

Celestia looked towards her, her face stern. “You are all immune to magic.”
