Crabapples! I overslept Rarity'll kill me if I'm late for our reservation at that fancy pants restaurant. I slip on the dress Rarity made me for the Grand Galloping Gala which I only save for the most special occasions and HOO WE today was a special occasion if there ever was one today was our 3 year anniversary. 3 years ago today I finally got up the nerve to ask Rarity to one of those fancy dance clubs with the white dresses and the tuxedos and the fancy bubblin' water and during a song called "Dark Night, Warm Kiss" we uhh.. kissed. Still kinda feelin' strange about that whole me bein' a lesbian thing not that anypony was mad or disgusted or anything. The one I was most worried about was Granny Smith kept the secret for almost 6 months until Rarity got so stressed and we jus' had to tell Granny. So after sweatin' bullets all the way from the Carousel Boutique to Sweet Apple Acres which by the way is a mighty long way to worry about the reaction of a dear relative or In my case my only real mother figure but by Celestia she was not surprised at ALL. She said she had figured it out from the beginin'. Me bein' out late comin' home happier than usual and spendin' A LOT of time at the Boutique and me comic back sweaty and dirty from ehem... "Rollin' in the hay." Even AppleBloom knows well.. not that last part. Well no even that last part because Granny gave AppleBloom "the talk" when she went into 8th grade this year. So as I run out the door I wave to Granny and holler "Seeya Granny!" an' dart of to the Crystal Griffin I think it's called and I almost fall over at what I saw Rarity standin' there in a yellow silk dress with a pink collar and dark yellow heels but what knocked me dead was the necklace. That necklace was an apple made out of a fire ruby most likely the one Spike gave her and it sparkled like a burnin' fire 20 feet high. "Hello AJ you were almost late." She was comin' up to me with that sophisticated canter she has and pecks me on cheek. I reply by giving her a BIG smooch as that uptight stallion the CMC met on Hearts And Hooves Day comes up lookin' pretty ticked. "I'm sorry but I don't think an upscale restaurant like this establishment will allow you two LESBIAN PIGS anywhere near the door!" He was on the ground from a bucking faster than I can clear a tree. "You useless son of a whorse!" My eyes open wide when I see it was Rarity buckin' I'm and not me. "Rarity you alright?" She stares at me like shes gonna rip my head off for a split second before she regains her composure. "Yes I'm fine I just can't stand close minded ponies like that." A waiter comes up to us and says to the fancy pantsy stallion. "I'm sorry sir but I'm going to have to ask to leave." Then he comes up to us. "I am so sorry for the inconvenience ma'am here I will get you and your fillyfreind a table." "Thank you sir we are happy that this restaurant does not have so close minded policies." So with that we went off to dinner. After having a pleasant dinner I get home around 11 P.M and fallen the HECK asleep before I've got the blanket over me. //-------------------------------------------------------// Proulouge: I Rule. //-------------------------------------------------------// Proulouge: I Rule. Well another successful Triple Rain Flip. I totally rule! "Hey RD can you help me up!?" I Hear Scootaloo below me. I almost ask her why she can't do it herself but I stop myself before I do because of course Scoots is disabled. "Sure be right there!" I zip down and back up with Scoots in tow in the blink of an eye. So as I set her down a peculiar thought crosses my mind. Shouldn't she being hanging with the rest of the CMC they usually have their meetings on Fridays. "So Scoots what's up why aren't you with the CMC at the clubhouse something wrong between you three?" I say in a suspicious way with a kinda sideways glare. "Nope! Nothing! Nothing at all!" She gives me a shifty glance inbetween looking at the ground. She is totally lying. "Scoots." I say shaking my head. "Your a worse lyer than AJ C'mon what's really going on here?" She looks at me likes she's trying to kill me with her gaze and that's when I knew I was in for it. She was about to open a can of shout the likes of which Equestria had never known. I considered trying to put my hoofs in my ears but I knew that would just make her angrier Like screaming Toro at Iron Will. "NOTHING ALRIGHT! NOW JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" She gets up almost as if she wants to storm off until she realized she was still on a cloud and would break a leg if she left. "C'mon Scoots you know you can tell me anything I'm your big sister remember?" I place my hoof on her shoulder and just as she opens her mouth to tell me whats up with her I hear I my opinion the most beautiful sound in Equestria. "Hey Dashie!" I turn my head so I can get a clear view of my fairly new fillyfriend and in my own words the most beautiful mare in Equestria. Pinkie Pie. "Hey Pinkie! What's up?!" I shout down to her not realizing I've completely lost my current train of thought and what the conversation I was having with Scoots was about. "I was just wondering if you wanted to go on a date. The Cakes wanted me to watch Sugar Cube Corner and I was Thinking do you want to watch it... together? She gave me that lusty smile I only recently found out she had. A few weeks ago in fact it all happened when me and Pinkie were the only ones to show up to a book club Twilight was hosting. While I was re-reading the 1st Daring Doo book and she fell asleep on my shoulder whether she did it on purpose or not I might never know but when she woke up she uh... asked me to the opening of the Crystal Gryphon. I was kinda reluctant but I went and had a great time so after a week of fantastic dates I kissed while we were at a movie called "Headless Hoarse V: The Horseless Saddle. "Sure I'll be right down." And we were off and I was completely unaware of the questions about Scoots uh I'll ask her later. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Night It All Came Out. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Night It All Came Out. It was a good night all around. A party at Vinyl Scratch's club with everypony invited even the princesses had shown up all the way from Canterlot and Shining Armour had taken time from his duties to celebrate. Celebrate what exactly? Why Twilight's coronation of course! Yes those new wings were making her the toast of Ponyville everypony gathering around to wish her congratulations. After a few karaoke songs (Including a beautiful rendition of True Colors by Pinkie Pie and Life would kill me if I didn't have you by Rainbow Dash.) The mood shifted as everypony went off into there own circles like Vinyl and Octavia going off to "Talk." while she set her turntable to a loop of a few Sapphire Shores' songs. But then IT happened. No buildup, no warning just happened. AppleBloom and Scootaloo go up on the stage with AppleBloom taking the mic at first. "Hello...Hello everypony." but after a few rounds of that Scootaloo took the mic and shoved it against the speaker making feedback enough to make even Big Mac clasp his hooves over his ears. "Hello everypony AppleBloom and I have an announcement." She says before handing the mic back to AppleBloom. With a sort of half blush half cocky smile she takes back the mic. "Thank you Scoots so as I was trying to say we have an.... ann....ounc....emen....t." after AppleBloom's stuttering made it feel like one word could fill a dictionary Scootaloo grabbed the mic out of her hand and.....kissed her. Not some light smooch that could be written of as a joke but a big deep passionate kiss that was obviously coming from somewhere deep in Scootaloo. After that they walked of stage some ponies fainting, some shouting, some like Vinyl and AJ just nodding in approval. They walked back to the main six's table and Scoots broke the silence. "Well! Is anypony going to say something. We just poured our hearts out. On stage no less!" She says looking like she could just fall down sobbing. So they did share their reactions....Their all completely,honestly, all completely positive and reassuring opinions. Twilight started. "Well I may not go that way but if you do feel the way you two feel than I think that you two have a right to what you have." Then Fluttershy. "Well...I...I'm happy for you." She sounded unsure but had a sure tooth showing smile. And Pinkie Pie. "Oh my Celestia I'm sooo happy for you we should throw you two a party!"  Everypony rolled their eyes knowing that was what she was going to say. Even the Princesses first Celestia. "First please Pinkie you know I hate it when ponies use my or Luna's name as an expletive and second congratulations I wish you two well. She said with the typical grace and pride she usually has. Then Luna took her turn. "Yes I wish you two much happiness." Her half scowl smile that used to make ponies terrified now had a recognizable warmth to it. Rarity didn't say anything but had an open smile that was almost exactly her" Just finished a fantastic dress for a friend" smile.A cozy closed smile that looked exactly like her mother's. And finally the two opinions Scoots and AppleBloom had been anxiously awaiting. That of AJ and Rainbow Dash. Their nervousness must have been written on their faces like it would have been written in one of Twilight's books because the first thing out of their mouths was Rainbow's laughter. "C'mon you two what do you think we're gonna say! Even if we DID disapprove we couldn't keep you apart. Love is more powerful than the two of us as Shining Armour and Cadence show us constantly." AJ just nodded her head agreeing with Rainbow. AppleBloom heaved a sigh of relief. Later as the group walks home AppleBloom walks alongside Scootaloo. "Well that went pretty good didn't it Scoots?" Scootaloo whipped her head to meet AppleBloom's eyes like she was lost in her own thoughts. "Yep so whats our next move now that it's official?" AppleBloom puts her hoof to her chin. Clearly lost in deep thought. The day before Crystal Griffon was a normal school day except for Diamond Tiara giving Scootaloo and AppleBloom some crap. "Are you serious!" She screamed as she fell down laughing. Everypony shot Diamond Tiara a dirty look even Silver Spoon. Scootaloo looked at AppleBloom and they both nodded. "Very." She says sticking her muzzle in Diamond's face and with that Diamond shut her bucking mouth. When Miss Cherilee came out she had on a slightly bigger smile than usual. Scootaloo wondered but figured out that she must have been out with Big Mac last night. "Good morning my little ponies how are we today?" Everypony lined up single file. AppleBloom, Diamond Tiara, Snips, Snails, Scootaloo, Silver Spoon, Buttons, Pipsqueak, Dinky and Sweetie Belle. AppleBloom and Scootaloo said the same obvious thing at the same obvious time. "Better than I've ever been." They said as they shot each other a dreamy little smile. Diamond rolled her eyes but everypony else didn't seem to notice. After everypony went around and said how they were feeling the class went inside and sat down. "Ponies today we have a very special guest to speak to the class. Everypony give a warm Ponyville welcome to...Shining Armour!" The white stallion walked in wearing his uniform the CMC remembered from the wedding the 3 had attended. Diamond nearly fainted when she saw the gold on his belt and buttons. "Hello little foals, how are you all today?" Everypony in the class responded with a good, great or something to that nature. Except AppleBloom and Scootaloo who were to busy shooting lovey dovey looks at each other. "I'm in town on business for the my princess." He took a second to stare into the distance and think about his wife. Who was probably missing him something awful. "And I wanted to come talk to you about what someone like me does day to day." It took about 3 seconds for Silver Spoon's hoof to shoot up into the air. "Wait Mr.Armour I'm confused, aren't you a prince? I didn't think royalty had to do anything at all. Except for, you know lying around and telling ponies to get you things." Shining through his head back in deep laughter. Wiping a tear of from his eye he set her strait. "Oh my how wrong you are little one. Me and Cadence hardly ever even use the stuff in our castle. We're far to busy. She's running around to peace conferences while I'm putting the Crystal Guard through their paces." Silver Spoon lowered her hoof, knowing now that playing princess was far from the real thing. The next one to raise their hoof was oddly enough Scootaloo, Shining's Laughter having shaken her out of her staring contest with AppleBloom. "This isn't really about what you do every day but..... Is love always as powerful as it is with you and Cadence?" Shining furrowed his brow and thought hard. "In a magic sense no, that was because of who Cadence is and what she does but emotionally? Spiritually? Definitely." He looks over at AppleBloom and makes a smirk. "And might I say you have a fine looking filly friend yourself." Scootaloo nearly jumped out of her seat she was so surprised. "Wait. What?! How did you?" She had honestly no idea how he had figured out that she and AppleBloom were in a relationship. Shining laughed again, smaller this time but just as joyful. "Being married to the Princess of Love, I've learned how to pick up on the small things but it doesn't take a psychologist to see you two staring at each other half the class." Everypony let out a chuckle, even Scoots and AppleBloom. The next three periods passed uneventfully and at 11:30 Cherilee raised her voice to get the foal's attention. "Time for recess everypony!" All of them filed out of class in single file. Once out in the yard, Scoots, AppleBloom and Sweetie Belle meet up by the sandbox as usual. Sweetie was the first to speak up. "So you two.. what's it like to be official?" Scoots and AppleBloom could have talked to her for hours about how it felt and how it effected them but they kept it short Scootaloo was the first to tell her. "Sweetie it's amazing! I've never felt this awesome, not even when I'm flying with RD!" Sweetie was blown away, nothing had ever compared to RD in Scoots' book. AppleBloom's comment wasn't as mind blowing as Scoots' but still nice. "I would say it's like flying. So many things I've never noticed, her laugh, her smile, the way her mane whips around when she rides her scooter and the way her feathers feel when we touch." They moved in and held hooves. "Plus..." She leans in and kisses Scoots. Sweetie is a little surprised but she knew she's going to be seeing alot of it over time. When they finally pull apart AppleBloom smirks. "You get to do a whole ton of that." After Cherilee called them back in there wasn't really anything to say about the day. After the bell rang the foals flooded out the door, with the CMC meeting by the sandbox again. Scoots ran up and kissed AppleBloom. "So I'll pick you up at 8 O.K?" AppleBloom had already picked out a fancy southern belle dress Rarity had sewn but Scoots had yet to pick out an outfit. AppleBloom had a stern look on her face, at first Scoots thought she was joking but her look was dead serious. "Don't be late." Her smile returned and she gave Scoots a peck on the cheek as she raced off towards home. Sweetie noticed she was acting strange. "The hay was that about?" Scootaloo was still concentrating on the kiss she'd just been given. "Huh? Oh she's just nervous, it is our first OFFICIAL date after all. Now if you'll excuse me I have an outfit to find." She ran off to RD's place. She was now staying with RD after the rainbow speedster had adopted her. She yelled up to her. "Hey RD are you home? I need to find a dress!" RD shot down and brought Scoots to the porch. They walked in and towards RD's wardrobe. "So you and AppleBloom...on a date...Rarity owes me five bits." While rummaging through her closet to find something to wear she replied to RD. "Oh and why's that?" As if she didn't already know. Another thing she knew was she had nothing to wear. She had never been to a big event like this. "Because Rarity bet you were into Buttons." Buttons? How ridiculous, Buttons was nice but he wasn't exactly what you'd call social. RD had one more thing to throw at Scoots. "So...which one of you is the mare?" Scoots head shot up so fast she nearly hit her head on the drawer. She'd never heard of that before. What did RD mean? "What do you mean? We're both mares." RD just shook her head, Scoots obviously didn't know what she meant. So she had to explain a little better. "No, I mean which one of you is the masculine one? The coltish one?" Scoots didn't know. AppleBloom was a land hardened cowgirl and she was a stuntmare. "Oh and I bought you something from Rarity, since I knew you didn't have anything to wear." There was a shout from the ground below the house. "Hello Rainbow?! I have the tux!" Scoots was ecstatic until those last two words hit her, the tux. A tuxedo! That was something stallions wear! Well they do make them for mares for...well for this exact sort of thing but could she really pull it off? What would AppleBloom say? Oh well it was the only thing she had to wear so she'd give it a shot. They zipped down. RD greeted her friend. "Hi Rarity. Is it dazzling? This filly needs all the help she can get." It was a white tux with wing wholes so she could get there on her scooter and a black and white striped tie. Scoots fell in love with it the instant she saw it. It was so her. Rarity was almost insulted. "Of course it is! As is everything I create. Go on sweetie try it on." She fit it on. It was so snug and fit her perfectly. She put on her helmet but loosely so it wouldn't mess up her mane. "Alright i gotta go guys!" She zipped off to possibly the most important night of her life. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge: My Sister... //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge: My Sister... My Sister... was acting sorta strange. I first noticed when I went to pick up my fillyfreind Cheerilee at the school house as I was coming up on the door I saw Sweetie Belle looking at me sorta worried like. Soon as she noticed I was looking she gave me a very weak smile and ran off to the to the rest of the CMC. I sorta just shrug it off and walk in and I see the "Apple" of my eye. Ha AJ hates it when I make that pun. "Hi sweetie are you ready to get going I've just finished work." "Eyep." We were going out on a date to the park to be more precise the gazebo where the CMC originally tried to set us up and... whats kinda weird is in a sorta backdoor way they succeeded me and Cheerilee started hanging out alot more after that and by the next Hearts And Hooves Day we shared our first kiss but anyway I'm rambling but I was still thinking about the look Sweetie Belle gave me I'll have to ask my sister when I get home. So as we're walkin' down Main Street sayin' howdy to the ponies down the road when I notice a strange sight Scootaloo and AppleBloom walking down the street but no Sweetie Belle. I ponder this for a moment when somthin' else catches my eye. "Honey somthin' wrong?" She looks at me like she'd look at a frowning student. Darn.. I hate when she does that. "Enope nothin' jus' Zap Apple season's comin' up and I'm jus' sorta stressed. She gives me that saucy look and I know what she's gonna say. "Well maybe I can fix that tonight relieve a little stress." I give her a saucy look of my own. "Eyep." And jus' like that my worries about the CMC vanish in to thin air. As we finally reach the gazebo she unpacks the dinner she made and OH MY her cooking is worth begging for. So we talk and we laugh and the normal date things and kiss a little on the way back to her house and my worries disappear for the rest of the night if.. you know what I mean.
