A century ago when Nightmare Moon was banished another alicorn disappeared: The brother. He had a strong bond with his sister and when she turned evil he was reluctant to take action against her. When Celestia came back with the news that she had banished her he lashed out at her angrily. Fueled by rage he broke away from the guards and flew off in a random direction and was never seen again. That is, until today an Twilight's coronation.
