A Faded Shimmer

It was normal day in Canterlot, the sun was shining and many ponies crowded the streets of Canterlot and happily talked away as time went by. The yellow unicorn lived in a small house in the middle of Canterlot with her parents. She was home schooled by her mother because of the overbearing amount of bullying by all of her classmates. They would hit her, call her many hurtful , steal her things, and play jokes on her. It was in the last minutes of of her schooling which was consisting of mostly magic. The little unicorn's horn was glowing as she tried to make the spell last. She was able to make it last for about five minutes but stop and she fell from exhaustion as the spell stopped. She let out a few pants as she talked to her mother with a smile on her face.

"Mommy, I did it! I made it last longer!" Her mother stared at her, she was giving a angered and annoyed. The filly understood her facial expression and tried to run to hide. Her mother stepped down with all her might pulled her tail down with with it as she shook in fear. She looked away as she cried and tightly shut her eyes as she tried to hide her fear. Her mother spoke loudly in an angry tone at her as she scolded the little filly who was still shaking and starting to form and shed tears, starting to silently cry to herself.

"You have not Improved enough to ever get into the school for gifted unicorns! Not with a pathetic time like that on such an easy spell! You better improve more or you will not get ANY dinner tonight or tomorrow, do you understand me?" The scared filly cried more and nodded her head and opened her eye once again and wiped her tear away.
