Stallions and Dolls

     It was a beautiful glorious day in the Crystal Empire. The walls were sparkling, crystal birds were practicing their song for tomorrow night, and there was love everywhere, including the rulers. The princess and prince loved each other more than anything, because pony marriages are very very important. However, they could not see each other very much because Prince Shining Armor was the captain of the Canterlot royal guard, and his wife had to rule the empire. That is why today,  Shining Armor is going to take some special time off for his beautiful wife, Princess Cadence.

     Cadence opened her eyes to the bright morning sun. "Grrr aunt Celestia, it's too early. Five more minutes." The pink alicorn tried to close her eyes to grasp a little more sleep, but it was no use. She looked at Shining Armor sleeping peacefully and nuzzled him a little. When he started stirring, he whispered, "But it's not to early to start our special day!" Apparently he heard what The Princess of Love said before he woke up. After both fumbling out of bed, they shared a passionate hug. Right now was way to early for kissing.

     Cadence stopped for a moment. "Before we go off to our honeymoon, we need to tell Celestia, your sister, and her friends. Won't they be so happy for us?"

     They both concentrated on the teleportation spell to the capitol before disappearing from the bed room. Their servant Ivy Sprinkles popped her head into the room.

     "I have your red velvet pancakes. Would you like for me to bring them into your room before you lea-" Ivy looked at the vacant room."(Sigh) They could have at least told me."

     First, Shining and Cadence were going to visit Celestia, then Twilight and her friends in Ponyville. The lovers walked down the hallway. Their movements were slow and jerky, as if being controlled by a marionette, but no one said anything to them. However, the nobles in the castle only thought it was very odd that the lovers were without their guards, but they just turned their noses at them. "Simpletons."

     "Honestly what is their problem? I just never got why they are so snobby." Cadence sighed. She gasped in surprise when Shining place his hoof under her chin.

     "Please Cadence, be optimistic today. For us." The white unicorn smiled. When they opened the throne room's doors, Celestia, Luna, and the mane six were quietly sipping tea at a table. Except Pinkie. She was downing chocolate milk.

     Twilight waved Shining and Cadence over.

     "TWILEY!" Shining ran quickly to Twilight and embraced her in a heartwarming hug. "How are you my little sister?" Twilight didn't respond but the two cuddled before running of to Cadence.

The pink and purple alicorns quickly did their song together.

Sunshine Sunshine,

Ladybugs awake.

Clap your hooves

And do a little shake!

     Twilight's movements were  smoother than Cadence's but still awkward. After laughing, Shining Armor stated "We were going to start our honeymoon at ICLOP for some red velvet pancakes, would any of you like to join us?"

     Princess Celestia smiled warmly. "Dearest niece, how about today we just sit down, talk, and have a nice time? After all it's hard running an empire."

     "TIS WOULD BE A GOOD TIME FOR- uh, I mean it would be a good time for getting to know each other better." Luna whispered, trying not to go into the Royal Canterlot voice.

    Twilight eyes brimmed with tears. I'm so happy for you guys, your finally taking your relationship to the next level! I love you so much BBBFF."

     "yay" Fluttershy cheered.

     "A'm mighty happy with y'all being together, it just's warms ma'h heart," Applejack complimented.

     "I'm not one for mushy stuff, so... congratulations," Rainbow Dash muttered. She looked around nervously. "Ummm... Aww who am I kidding! You guys are amazing, and the perfect pair. Especially after the Crystal Heart Incident." Cadence shuddered. She definitely remembered trying to save the Crystal Empire from Sombra. The alicorn almost died and thousands of lives would have been taken away if it wasn't for Shining.

     "Oh Darling, this would be the perfect time to give you my blue diamond necklace!" Rarity complimented.

     "It's fine Rarity, we are going clothes shopping anywa-"

     "No, but it isn't! You need to come with me to Trottingha-"

     "I said it's fine, just calm down." Cadence showed her the breathing exercises for calming down.

     Pinkie was hopping in the air. "Ooooo ooo! Pick me! Let's have a breakfast party!" Nopony listened to her, but they still laughed. After an hour of mingling around, Shining Armor announced "Thank you for this wonderful feast, but we better be on our way." The two kindly thanked their friends and went on their way.

     "Uhhhhh, do we have to?" Shining complained. "SHOPPNG? It's so boring." The ponies were in the middle of one of the fanciest stores in Ponyville. Cadence summoned five dresses, purple, green, blue, and yellow.

     "Which dress do you think looks better Shiney?" Shining slightly cringed has his new nickname.

     "I'm not to good with fashion, but I would probably say the purple, it matches the color of your wingtips." Cadence blushed as she looked at her wings.

     "Wait! This wasn't part of the deal with the shopping!" The prince blushed as she put the blue dress on him.

     "But you look so cute in it." The Princess giggled as she straitened the socks on his legs.

     "What will the guys think?" Shining felt like he was going to die of embarrassment on the spot when his wife put an electric blue bow in his hair. His eyes widened when he heard snickers from behind. When her back was turned, the unicorn immediately pulled off all his garments a put it in the basket.

     After browsing for a couple more minutes the couple walked to the counter.

     "That will be 304 bits," The worker droned. Shining and Cadence looked at each other. That was very cheap for five dresses, not to mention a fancy clothing store.

     "Ma'm this is our first honeymoon, we demand we should pay you some respect. The princess dropped thirty more bits on the counter "The pleasure is ours."

     The manager brightened up impatiently. "Thank you so much! Come again soon."

   Cadence used her teleporting spell to send her shopping bags to the bedroom. Unfortunately, the bags landed on a poor janitor cleaning up the room. "Shiney, since I picked out something I liked to do, maybe we can do something you want, as long as it isn't to dangerous."

     The unicorn winked. "I know what we are going to do..."

     "EEEEEeeeeekkkkk!" Cadence shrieked as she rolled down the hill. "HOW can you love something as dangerous as this!?" She looked at her husband who was yelling and waving his arms in the air. Cadence didn't understand. Why did Shining enjoy riding roller coasters? She felt like she was going to fall out of the cart, or break her neck, or even both! When the ride stopped Shining walked up to her.

     "Honey, you okay? Is this to rough? We can do something simpler next time."

     Cadence sported a weak smile. "H-how abou-t we... ge-t some l-unch." She leaned against Shining for sport as they wobbled to Sugarcube Corner.

     When the ponies walked into the building, all was quiet and the lights were turned off. A snicker went of in the building, but they thought it was a trick of their minds.

     "SURPRISE!" Everypony shouted as the lights in the bakery turned on.Of course Pinkie threw a party for the couple. This time, the party banner said 'Happy first Honeymoon!'. About 50 ponies were there, making the building quite crowded. However, these were Shining and Cadence's closest friends. Most of them there were from Ponyville or the Crystal Empire, but some were from Trottingham, where Cadence usually goes to shop.

     "Thank you so much my little ponies," Cadence said. "But we were just here to relax and have some sandwiches." Pinkie's hair deflated slightly. "Oh, it-s o-kay, we will leave you guys alone." The 51 ponies slowly trudged out of the bakery. Pinkie Pie was the last to file out. "You didn't like my party?" Her eyes could cut through any heart.

     "Oh, Pinkie, how can we say no to you?" Shining proclaimed. "Everypony! It's okay, please come back in!" An old plastic phonograph started playing neighties music as everypony danced.

After a couple of hours, both were tuckered out. "Let's go to our finial destination, the one that we both agreed on." The prince nodded.

"Woohoo!" I'm the king of Equestria!" Shining shouted. He was flying on a hang glider over the beaches of Rio de Ponario, since the unicorn couldn't fly. Cadence was flying around him giggling. After landing, the two ponies nuzzled and started swimming underwater looking for sea shells. Making sure they didn't pick up any with hermit crabs, the rulers picked up a half pound of shells and relaxed. Side by side the lovers watched the sunset. There were a couple spaces of white in the sun, as if some pony colored it, but they didn't mind. When the full moon started rising in the sky, the rulers slowly let themselves be swallowed up by sleep.

"Shining?"

"Yes my love?" The unicorn yawned.

"I love you so much, this was the best day ever." The two more or less kissed, but mostly smacked into each other, while the moon hung in the sky.

     "Yes, this was the best day ever..." Spike put down his dolls. He sniffed a couple a times before gently placing the play sets of Canterlot and Ponyville in his closet, then looking up at the stars. "Why am I so alone in this world?" The baby dragon stared at his closet and sighed. "At least Shining Armor and Cadence have each other."
