The End Of One Life, Is The Start Of Another.
The sunlight shined through my apartment windows like gold. my eyes opened as the suns rays hit my eyes.
“Ugh…..god i hate mornings.” i'm not much of a morning person. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. and observed my surroundings. messy apartment. check. I sighed as i sat up. i don't have anything to do at all today. can’t play PS3, because i’ve beaten every game i have and i don't have money for a new one. Can’t watch T.V. either, damn landlord cut my power.
I sat up and stretched. I don’t have a job. I scrap whatever i can, i sell most of my stuff, and my parents payed for this apartment…..they’re gone now though…..
I walked to my closet and decided i might as well go for a walk. I got dressed. Jacket, and jeans. nothing more…..except my shoes.
I opened my door and locked it behind me. my apartment complex was small, then again this is Detroit. The hallway was a messy place. there was even some blood on the floor. some doors were busted inward and everything inside had been taken or broken. I heard rummaging inside one as i walked by, i took a peek in and saw a guy wearing all black tearing the place apart. He looked at me. I looked at him. I walked away. It doesn’t matter anymore. there’s barely any cops or firefighter or even paramedics and some hospitals are abandoned. shit, theres like only a couple hundred thousand people living in the city.
I was already outside, i looked around, nothing but partially collapsed buildings and abandoned stores. the local economy, to me, was practically non-existent.
As i walked the abandoned streets i decided to cut through an alley to get to downtown. The alley was filled with graffiti and trash.
“Turn around and give me your money, bitch!” A gruff voice said. i spun around and saw a bum with a gun. he was aiming right at me.
“Hey man, be cool, ok?” I said while putting my arms up. He looked at me and glared.
“Shut the fuck up! give me everything you have!” He yelled.
‘Shit.’
“Look man i don't have anything-”
*BANG*
I stared at the guy, the barrel of his gun was smoking. I looked down and saw blood seeping out of my chest. suddenly it became hard to breath. I fell down clutching my chest in pain.
Blood was pouring through my hands. I looked up only to see the barrel of a gun in my face.
“burn in hell…” I told him. he only smiled as he pulled the trigger…

‘Where am i?’
I looked around, i saw nothing but white. i looked below me and noticed that i was standing on, indeed, clouds. I looked around and saw a golden gate…..wait, golden gate?!?!
I examined the gates and they looked very much like the pearly gates, because it WAS the pearly gates. I walked over to the gates and looked at it. solid gold. Suddenly the gates opened. i stood back as they opened and i saw what could only be heaven.
I walked through the gates and what i saw was not what i expected. God was sitting at a desk on a laptop playing Starcraft. He was wearing a headset.
“what!? that’s impossible!!!” He suddenly flipped the desk over as he raged. he took several deep breaths before he realized i was standing there…
“Oh! um….hi?” He said.
“….are you god?” I asked completely baffled. He gave me ‘What Do You Think?’ face.
“Yes.” He said. I looked at him, he was what people described him as. a halo, white robes. the whole thing.
“Um….am i dea-???”
“Yes. and before you start with everything, i'm gonna tell you right now. I'm giving you another shot at Life again, ok?” He cut me off. I looked at him in sheer happiness. another shot at life! Maybe i’ll be a millionaire!!
“I can hear what you’re thinking, and thats not gonna happen…” I deflated a little at this.
“BUT you will be going somewhere more….happy….so...yeah, not much to tell you and i know that someone is pissed off right now, because of how short this was.” He looked forward staring at nothing. it became clear to me that Christianity's image of god was a little….exaggerated.
“Oh! watch your step too.” He said. he snapped his fingers suddenly.
“what? what do you-?” I cut myself short as i realized i was standing on nothing…. i looked at him and he only grinned at me.
“Oh, you son of a-!!”i was cut short as i felt myself fall…

God looked on as the human fell into his new home. He promptly walked over and looked down and waved.
He sighed.
‘time for some Half Life’
He snapped his fingers and a laptop appeared. he sat down and began to play… and realized he probably just killed that poor bastard he just sent to Equestria...
