Waking Up
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDash woke up from her horrible nightmare. She was at her house. “Whoa. That was weird...” Dash said talking to herself. The weird part about it was that it felt so real. The pegasus jumping on him, the violent thrashing, and the headache she experienced, felt like it really happened. Dash got up and ate breakfast then got ready to leave for work. She didn't need to work on the weather anymore. The scientists at Ponyville Labs Inc. created a “cloud catcher” that made clouds go away or rain when it was needed. She works there now. Dash was always fascinated by all the amazing inventions and machine they make that she just couldn't wait to sign up. Dash got to the entrance where a speaker and a hoof senor were (for security reasons) and put her hoof on it.
“Accepted” said a robotic and clam voice that belonged to Flux. Flux was an AI for the labs. He powered the doors, lights, camera, and many more things all around the labs. Flux then said the same thing he says every time someone enters the labs for security.
“What’s your name?” Flux said with pride in his voice.
“Rainbow Dash” Dash said to the speaker.
“How old are you?”
“16”
“What’s your condition?”
Dash paused for a moment. Flux has never asked that question before. Dash then continued, “Happy”. The doors opened by themselves thanks to Flux.
“Welcome back, Rainbow Dash. How are ya?” asked Flux in a sort of childish way.
“Great! Thanks for asking” Dash said as she smiled towards one of the cameras that watched her come in.
“Your room is awaiting you, Rainbow Dash. Its room 34C” said one of the scientists who happened to see Dash come inside.
“Thanks man!” Dash said. She has always liked the workers at the labs. They always made her smile. “34C... 34C... Oh here it is! Flux can you open the doors?”
“Sure thing, Rainbow Dash” Flux said in response as the doors to room 34C opened. The room was small but had everything she would need: a bed, TV, bathroom, mini fridge, and a window. Surprisingly, Dash noticed it was already night time.
“Well thanks Flux but I should get some rest. See ya tomorrow Flux!” said Rainbow Dash smiling at one of the cameras in her room.
“Will do, Rainbow Dash. Have a good night” said Flux.
That night Rainbow Dash felt somepony, or thing, touch her wings. Dash woke up and looked on the sides of the bed. No one was there. Dash started feeling weird. Something isn't quite right thought Dash. She needed her sleep, badly, so she continued back to sleep. Nothing touched her wings again that night.
Author's Note
I have been thinking of this intro in the story for about a week. Hopefully the other thought I have of the rest of the story go good on the fiction as well. Thanks for reading!
