“Ahh, for the love of Celestia!” McSpy cursed in anger.

The building was about to collapse, so McSpy flung Luna over his back and ran out the door. They got out, but he wasn’t far enough away from the blast, so he stopped and laid Luna down. He stood over her body to shield it from rubble and shrapnel. A very sharp and unbearable pain shot through his back when the shrapnel pierced it. His tux was torn and covered in blood. McSpy's vision turned blurry, he persisted to crawl after he put Luna on his back. Her unconscious body was being dragged across the ground as McSpy continued to crawl. His breathing began to get weaker and weaker by the second. After a minute or two, McSpy's eyelids became heavy to him. He stopped and closed his eyes, laying lifeless on the gravel floor. He then passed out. A pool of blood began to emerge around his body.

About half an hour later, Luna woke up to the sight of a bruised, bloody, unconscious stallion in a torn tuxedo, beside her. He lifted herself up, and then picked up McSpy, then flew away.

“Huh, wha-,” McSpy gasped as he woke up, his head and back ached with pain, he looked around and saw that he was in a hospital. He looked around more and saw Luna sitting closely beside the bed. Flowers were in a vase beside his bed.

“We see that you are awake, this is most glorious!” Luna said excitedly.

“Yeah, I guess so,” McSpy said, a little disappointed, remembering that Dr. Aqua escaped.

“We would like to thank you for what you have done.” Luna said smiling.

“Uhh, yeah, but I was only just doing my job.”

“It was extraordinary that you saved us and the entire world at the same time, you are a hero.”

Luna then gave McSpy a big, crushing hug which was painfully uncomfortable and made his spine make a cracking noise. McSpy winced in pain.

“Oh, sorry.” Luna said, blushing.

“It’s all right. I’ve handled much worse…trust me.” McSpy replied, trying to make her feel better.

“Sorry, Princess, but you need to leave. Mr. McSpy needs to take his meds.” A nurse barged into the room.

“That won’t be necessary, I’m fine,” McSpy said, getting up, but grunting in pain.

“Are you sure sweetie?” The nurse asked to make sure.

“Yes ma'am, I’m fine.”

McSpy put his tuxedo back on. Then both Luna and McSpy walked down to the lobby, where Gadget was waiting for them.

“McSpy am I glad to see you, I was worried sick. I thought you had died, but the doctor said you were okay, but I didn’t believe them,” Gadget rambled on, “Other than that, I’m really glad you’re okay.”

“I’m glad to be alive too,” McSpy replied with a smile and a small laugh, “You and I make a pretty good team, I’d like to make you, not just my permanent partner, but my best friend.”

A wide smile grew on Gadget's face, “Oooh, that would be an honor, friend.”

“Alright then, let’s get out of here.”

They all exited the building, and then Gadget turned to McSpy once more.

“What now?” Gadget asked with a puzzled look on his face.

“I think…we have earned a well-deserved vacation and some good old fashioned Apple Cider.” McSpy said.

“Alright, come on then,” Gadget started walking and so did Luna.

McSpy paused for a minute and took out his father’s medal, staring at it curiously for a minute, then it changed from curiosity to pride.

“Hey McSpy are you coming?” Gadget yelled behind him.

“Yeah, I’ll be there in just a second,” McSpy yelled back, he looked down at the medal one last time, and then put it back inside his pocket.
