Princess Tempest ,

stood at the edge of existance, and watched.

Clouds of thought moved across her vision. Equestria, to Tempest at least, was a speck of dust. "Damn them, damn them all, they never even gave me the chance."

Tempest saw Celestia, the ruler of all, not just Equestria but many worlds were at her command, she was also the poor soul that stood in the enraged ponys one desire, life.

Tempests emotions up until now could be put into three distinct groups,

Hope and Hate and Despair.

Hope drove her, When tempest first realized that her destiny had been taken, she set off on the road to retrive it.

Hate Drove her, the wretched world of Equestria had made her talent into a mockery, and as the first pony to do so, Celestia was the first on a long list of ponys she despised.

Despair was her constant. In the world of what could have been, sad scenes drift by constantly abd death was a menial thing to Tempest.

And now at the edge of the world of what could have been, Tempest finaly was able to look at herself, the constant fog had lifted and the edge of existance glistened like a mirror.

She was a tall mare with a black mane that sparked and flowed like the stormclouds and her coat was a bright yellow, looking at her back she searched for something that 3 fillys in particular had always wished for, a cutie mark.

Tempest had none.

Slamming her hoof in hate, the floor became electrified,

looking once more at herself she noticed something missing, a horn, wings were there of course but no long majestic horn along with it, as the most powerful beings of Equestria had. Tempest was enraged, she had no idea what she was to do either, an eternity to plan and she had basicly sulked whilst walking aimlessly. Rage billowed inside her, thunder cracked and lightning rolled off her mane and legs, and she charged the mirror.

It resisted, bending only slightly at the blow. Lights flew out of the point of impact and threatened to launch Tempest back into the fog where she would have to search endlessly for salvation once again. Pushing even harder, and willing wind and lightning to aid her, the wall eventualy broke, she tumbled into the world and behind her the gap closed.

Tempest opened her eyes and blinked furiously, the lights still dancing in her eyes, she couldn't see, but she was here. The goddess of the storm was greeted into existance by the smell of grass in her muzzle, the wind in her wings. the dirt on her coat and hooves, and the sound of a pink pony, squealing in anticipation of a party, in her ears.
