//-------------------------------------------------------// Apropos -by shoutfriend- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Session 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Session 1 Closing your eyes you remember the days of summer; the delicate ripples slowly forming from the soft breeze the ocean brings, waves slowly crashing against the shore, the warm smell of salt in the surrounding air, and droplets of water sprinkling towards clear sky, only to shower against the rocks, dripping their way down into the little clear pools of turquoise. Tide pools. The color of the ceiling looked that of shallow tide pools. Days of summer fun at the beach always clouded your mind whenever you looked up from the sofa your small pink body was comfortably laying on. Opening your eyes you looked towards the cream colored pony to your right, sitting cross-legged as she flipped through pages upon pages of her writing, each filled to the brim with discussions you've had with her everyday for the past 2 months since her move from Cloudsdale. https://camo.derpicdn.net/34e60fb868c19c293f04960a80659498540a9e7a?url=http%3A%2F%2Fi1074.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fw405%2Fuselessnumbers%2Ftdrop_zps4ff92b92.png Being the splendid pony friend of the whole town, Pinkie was the first to befriend the new pegasi in Ponyville. Trinity Drop was quite happy to have a friend the day she moved, being quite worried that she'd have trouble beginning her business not knowing anyone to start her career of being a therapy healing pony. Pinkie Pie happily offered herself to Trinity after hearing about how she wanted her to be her first patient to try a new type of therapy technique brought home from Cloudsdale. A technique that uses a special type of potion made from drizzling clouds and rainbow dew that calmed the mind of any pony causing them to have complete control of their senses. Slight hypnosis was also required, for it was the only way to stop the mind from falling asleep due to the potions calming effect causing many beginning subjects to an endless slumber, only to be awaken from the special thunder clouds brought from above the Everfree Forest on the day of the full moon. For the first few weeks the sessions proved to be successful. Pinkie's mind and body always seemed in pique condition, never faltering over the most strenuous of tasks, but over time her mind felt a tad... off. Not feeling at all completely herself. It was like someone gave her an i.v. with the dose of manticore venom slowly numbing each and every part of her.The more she fought back at it, the more it felt like they were stinging her heart directly with poison. They spent the rest of the month and a half with investigating whether it was because she was an Earth pony that the potion caused that symptom or whether something deep inside her was making her feel out of tune with herself. Pinkie did once recall that out of all the ponies in Ponyville she was told that she was the most "distinctive"... Hearing the shuffling of papers being neatly put back into a desk brought her full attention back to Trinity who then began to tie her long auburn hair into a messy bun, twisting it into place before she lets go of the last knot of elastic. Sitting herself comfortably in her chair she calmly faced Pinkie and cleared her throat. "Pinkie.. although I have also talked to your friends about some incidents regarding your mentality, there's not much I can do without trying to bring out more from you through hypnosis," she sighed as you gave her a dreary look, "I know how much you dislike it, but I'm afraid we don't have many options left to even consider." Pinkie began to move to a sitting position, a long breath escaping her lips before she faced Trinity. "It's.. It's not that I completely dislike it... It's just that everytime I wake up from it, it's like a little part of me is gone??? If you know what I mean, but like a part of me is not me anymore. It kind of scares me." "Ohhh, Pinkie Pie. It's just a part of hypnosis. Nothing to be afraid of, it's just the mind's body way of saying that you no longer have another thing to hold you down." Pinkie gave Trinity a quizzical look. "Hold me down?? Like, I'm letting go of the bad and in with the good type deal? Is that how it is?" She questioned, turning her head slightly sideways. "Of course! Just like that, haha! There's absolutely no need for you to worry. We're friends right? You can trust me Pinkie, this is all to help you in every way I can," Trinity gave Pinkie a reassuring smile, making Pinkie smile back relieved. "Now, let's get started shall we?" She said taking out a small capsule full of clear orange liquid and a needle. Pinkie went back to laying on the sofa and closed her eyes once again, taking deep long breaths as she calmed herself for what came next. "I'm sorry Pinkie. Again for the bit of pain." The needle didn't hurt as much as it did the first time. After a few months of these sessions she was able to get used to the pain. The sliding of thin cold medal piercing through her skin as she held her breath waiting for the cool liquid to once again go through her veins. Giving her body shivers as if it were the middle of winter, then slowly a soothing warmth would envelope her in a blanket sinking her into a calm that could put the dying to a peaceful rest. Before she could completely go into a coma-like slumber, the sound of the metronome sends her into a trance. Her eyes heavy with the desire to sleep are kept half open, looking into the nothingness that once again clouds her vision. Hearing the distant sound of the steady rhythm of the metronome rings in her whole being, the sound getting louder and louder as seconds pass, then minutes, and then hours of the same steady sound. Trinity starts counting down the numbers from 10-9-8-7-6...-5-..4.....-3.. by then everything is a blank. Author's Note I usually just draw, but I've always wanted to write this out, it's been bugging me nonstop! Inspiration from two videos on youtube, one being Clouds and the other Smile. This would also be my first fanfic, please review or tell me how I'm doing so far! All art done by me.
