Corona Victorious
Final Night
Load Full StoryThere was a bright light emanating from Ponyville, despite the fact that the moon, now bearing the visage of Princess Luna upon its face, hung high in the sky. And in the dead center of the small town stood a god.
The Mighty Celestia, true ruler of Equestria, had finally done it. Her sister, one thousand years ago, had foolishly chosen to banish Celestia to the sun. And upon her release, the fabled Elements of Harmony had been twisted by her sisters machinations, and were now wielded by a group of six wicked and evil ponies, who Celestia had shown mercy to.
As Celestia looked down at the six mares, battered and beaten, she knew that the time for mercy was at an end.
“Elements of Harmony” Celestia spoke her voice booming and loud, with an eerie clarity to it. “You have disrupted my rightful rule of Equestria for the final time. If you had only listened that first fateful day, then it would not have to come to this.” she sneered as she remembered what had happened. What the Elements had done to her. “I had offered mercy. You offered only resistance. And now-”
“SHUT UP CORONA!” the magenta one yelled, weakly rising to her hooves. “No one will accept your rule! Luna will be freed from the moon, and you will be defeated!”
Celestia glared. How dare she use that false name that her dear sister had brainwashed her little ponies with. And the glare only worsened as she remembered that this particular mare was, amongst this rebellious bunch, had been the one who could never keep that silver tongue of hers in check.
“It seems you do not realize the position you are in…” a wicked smile came to Celestia’s face as she grasped the mare in her magic and floated her over so that their faces were no more than a foot apart. “You do so enjoy talking. Let us fix that.”
She had no chance to react before it happened. With a flick of magic, that wicked silver tongue was severed, and blood began to flow from the talker’s mouth as she was unceremoniously dropped onto the ground. “If you are lucky, I may choose to end things quickly. But for now…”Celestia’s eyes turned to the other five, each of them having a delightful look of horror on their faces. “Who is next?”
Four of them would not move. But one, the jasmine pegasus with the strength of an earth pony, took flight and lunged forward. A simple application of fire to her wings had fixed things. Celestia breathed in deeply, the smell of charred feathers filling the air as the pegasus howledin pain.
Surprisingly, she did not let her burning wings stop her as she charged towards Celestia. With a further surge of magic, the flames engulf the rest of the mares flesh. She kept charging until the pain finally became too much for her and she collapsed, still screaming, cursing Celestia’s name.
She did not have the opportunity to enjoy things, as sudden movement had drawn her attention. The yellow one with that immaculately kept mane had chosen to run. Celestia gave chase, which is to say that a simple leap onto the cowardly pony’s head had put a stop to any form of escape. The sight of blood upon her royal hooves both disgusted Celestia and delighted her. Delighted that another one of her enemies fell.
The three remaining mares did not move. The reality of the situation had dawned upon them.
She considered which one to destroy next. Despite her better judgment, she found herself reveling in the destruction she was causing.
She noted the green one, her horn glowing a beautiful golden hue. As the simple spell was complete, a simple lyre popping into existence. The unicorn’s eyes darted between the lyre and the alicorn before she stated simply. “You already took Bon Bon from me. I am already dead. All you intend to do is make me suffer evermore.”
One of the strings of the lyre was forcibly pulled off, and was gently wrapped around the unicorn’s neck. “I won’t give you the satisfaction.” And with a forceful tug, she ended her own life quickly and painlessly.
Celestia stared at the limp body of the green unicorn, enraged by the fact she had skipped her well deserved punishment. Celestia took a moment to look at the tongueless magenta mare had drowned in a pool of her own blood and the inflamed pegasus was left of a smoking blackened husk. She was sad to see that, as her attention was diverted elsewhere, they too had died far too quickly.
She made a note to make doubly sure that the remaining two would truly suffer. To make up for the disappointment for the others.
She had her choice between the dreaded student of her wicked sister, or the handicapped single mother. Celestia decided the idiot show pony could wait for last. She deserved tenfold of what the rest deserved. So she approached the imperfect pegasi.
As she drew closer, she was glad to see she was crying, obviously lamenting her wasted life. Celestia had no idea what this ‘dinky’ thing she kept muttering to herself was, but considering how pitiful she was, it did not matter.
“It is a pity that your eyes are forever twisted. I shall remedy that.”
Removing her lazy eye was incredibly easy, even through the yells of pain. The yells of pain were even louder as Celestia began removing limbs from the pegasi one by one.
Her wings cracked as they were forcibly pulled from their sockets. It was with a satisfying crunch one of her back legs was removed. The other back leg was cut off with painfully sharp magicked blade.
Her front legs were pulled out to their full length. Celestia then gleefully smashed them with her hooves again and again until the tendons and muscles could no longer hold the legs together and they disconnected in a messy bloody mess.
Celestia was only vaguely aware of the fact that the gimp pony had vomited during the whole process as she decided what to do with her head.
Celestia’s horn began to glow as the appropriate end came to mind. She began to ever so slowly raise the temperature inside her victim’s skull. She could feel the brain begin to melt and warp under the extreme heat, making what was left of the pony writhe in pain and expel the contents of her stomach again. And soon, she could feel the skull itself begin to give way, until-

Celestia wiped away a bit of the gore that had landed upon her perfect face from the resulting explosion.
“And then there was one.” Celestia said, turning her attention to the final Element Bearer. She was glad to see she had not attempted to retreat, as she was frozen with fear and despair.
Celestia walked slowly, each step shaking the earth until she faced the student of the wicked former princess.
An old earth pony saying occurred to Celestia: Sometimes you just gotta get your hooves dirty.
She had always thought this saying idiotic until she raised her hoof and struck the showmare in the face. But she was unsatisfied with the distinct lack of yelling. Another strike, only more silence greeted her.
It was after the tenth strike that Celestia yelled. “Why are you being so complacent!?”
The showmare, her face bloodied and swollen, looked up with a dead look in her eyes. But no words came from her mouth.
“ANSWER ME!”
Only the stare of emotionless eyes answered.
Celestia drew herself up to her full height. “Very well. If it is your wish to be dead, so be it. You shall burn with my full might.”
Celestia’s horn glowed as bright as the sun as she charged her spell. After only a few seconds, she unleashed her magic, and all was consumed in a bright light.

Princess Luna awoke with a gasp, her fur covered in a cold sweat. It was a rare event for the walker of dreams to dream herself, but since that fateful day Corona returned to Equestria, she found the same horrid dream coming to her. But never before had it been so…vivid.
She looked at the clock that sat in her room. It was midday.
Luna made her decision: She would go visit Trixie in Ponyville.
She wanted to make sure to make sure Ponyville was safe. She wanted to tell her student how proud she was of her. And more than anything, Luna wanted a hug.
Or rather, she felt she needed a hug.
Author's Note
I'm not apologizing. And yes, I'm fine. This is just me being cathartic....
I'll be honest, this was actually fun to write.
