Chapter 5
Couldn't do THAT before!

I yawned and obviously missed something because the store was still closed but there were three ponies Pinkie Pie, and Mrs. And Mr. Cake were making cakes, cupcakes, and anything else you could think of. I got up and folded the blanket that Mr. Cake said was fine where it was, I smiled and told Pinkie I was off to see the wizard. She couldn't find it funny because she didn't know what I was talking about, then I told her I meant Twilight's library. I walked through the town and noticed nobody really staring at me or laughing at me, which happened a lot in my previous life, but that didn't matter now. I finally (after getting directions twice) found Twilight's house/library and was silently excited, I saw all the books before but don't know what to do with them, but now I'll spend most of my day here helping Twilight out. I knocked at the front door, I don't think I should have because I heard: "SPIKE! Answer the door!"
"Well why can't you do it!?"

"I'm in the middle of something!"

"Ugh! Fine gimme a sec!"

Then I heard a series of crashes and then I had to hold in my breath so I didn't scream, there was a very irritated purple dragon staring up at me with a mix of surprise and gratitude. "Well hi there!" I almost said "aw" but held back against it. "Hey is this Twilight's library?" He gave me a look of pride and puffed out his chest, "yes it is sir! And I'm its protector!" I humored him by giving him a small salute and after a bit of general greeting I went inside and saw Twilight coming down the stairs, she seemed a little flustered as she said "Oh! Hi Rayne! Didn't think I would be third on your list to visit all we got here is these books--" I cut here off there "I LOVE books I have a small collection where I used to live." She seemed delightfully surprised "oh goodie! SOMEone with a interest in books!" She gave a sharp look at spike who shrugged it off and went into the kitchen and came out with a handful of gems that he ate like candy.

I went wide eyed "a-are t-those real?!" I managed to stammer out.

Spike looked at me with a curious look "ya? Why wouldn't they be?" I saw diamonds, rubies, sapphires, amethysts, and some emeralds. "Can I see one of those?" He looked like I was gonna eat it.

I laughed out loud "I promise I won't eat it, and I plan on giving it right back." Twilight just watched with a amused smile on her face and a knowing look, the one that said "nah, he won't let him" but spike surprised me and her, he handed a decent sized sapphire in the shape of a tear drop. Twilight went wide eyed the same time I did I held it in my hand and looked into it, sure enough it was a ACTUAL sapphire.

"where do you get these?" I said in a trembling voice.

He responded like he didn't care, like they were just some junk food "eh, every once in a while Rarity and I will go to look for gems in the hills and such and I usually get to keep a few" that I felt was total BS but the way he looked at me told me he wasn't lying so I handed him his gem which was now the last one which he conveniently placed into his mouth and crunched it. I almost cried at the lost gem but then I looked at Twilight who looked at me and we set to work, Spike was replaced by me which he seemed fine by and told Twilight he was gonna go around town she gave a absent nod and continued to show me what is what.

After a while she said she had to go grab spike from where ever he was I told her alright and that I would continue organizing, she nodded with a smile and left shortly after. I got something terribly wrong though, there was a book on the top shelf that I couldn't get and owlishous (there tamed pet owl) was nowhere in sight, and I hated the ladder that was there, while me and Twilight work she kept using the freaking force on the books to bring them to her, and every time she couldn't find one in the blink of an eye she teleported all over the room to find it when I usually had it in my hand. I laughed to myself, having the force was STILL one of my dreams, so jokingly I wave my hand over the book and said "these are not the droids your looking for" the book responded by jumping out of the bookshelf and into my hand. "WHAAAAAAT?!"

"Ok Rayne me and Spike are back we were wondering if--" I was trying everything I could think of, teleport, which I mastered first thing after telekineses the trick with teleport was to be able to see where your going and just picture yourself there. And finally fire. That one I only managed to singe my eyebrows a little before I got the hang of it. I currently had five books orbiting around me as I read them cause everything else was a snap with the new found powers. Twilight jaw almost hit the ground which I thought was a little unladylike and Spike almost fainted off her back, but he did it in a sarcastic way, and ended up falling off anyway. "How are you doing that?" Twilight practically screamed at me. "Well, I--" I tried to say as one of the books went hay wire and slammed me in the face, which hurt.

And that was to say the least. She rushed over holding the rest of the books with her magic which, unlike mine had a distinct purple aura, mine had a light green, like seaweed green aura. Along with green fire, which I thought was beyond badass. She asks the same question over again only more worried and less curious, which was rather weird coming from someone as straight forward as Twilight. "Well, as I was trying to say, after watching you do your 'magic' for a while I thought I was awesome then tried it for myself finding to my own delight that I could! I picked up a book I couldn't reach on the top shelf of the bookcase, then I started experimenting with other magics, I think I got the hang of the basics but I thought you would be a little happier than... Your current expression. She looked down a little, "I'm sorry I'm just a little shock that... You could do something like that" she begins to scuffle her front hoof.

Then she looked up almost instantly and said "You will NOT use this magic to hurt ANYPONY!" I stumbled back a little shocked at the new found venom in her voice. I managed to stammer out "wha-what do you mean?" She glared at me like I should know then seemed out of it, then, she just zoned out. Spike all this time was in the corner staring wide eyed at the fight, but now that it halted Spike walked over to Twilight's 'zoned out' body. Tears welled in his eyes as he spun around towards me and screamed "DID YOU DO THIS?!" Alright, I've had enough. I felt the anger well inside me. I'm still sore from yesterday in the fields, then I ate too much at Pinkie Pies, now I'm here and I JUST learned how to use the freaking Force and some purple pony just froze, staring off, and now I have a tiny angry purple dragon yelling at me. "NO. I wouldn't do that to Twilight, in fact I wouldn't have even known how! Trust me if I could have ponies or anything else shut up anytime I wanted this world would be a MUCH quieter place!" He looked at me already wiping the tears from his eyes, "well... Alright, but whats wrong with her?" I shrugged "heck if I know, she just told me not to use my powers to hurt ponies and then she froze." She unfroze just as I said that screaming "DARN IT!" Which I assumed was very harsh language for this pony. This also made Spike jump up and land in a pile of books. I jumped back a bit, and she looked right at me... VERY irritated.

"So, your saying that the PRINCESS could feel my powers from her castle?!"

She sighed "yes, she pulled me out of my body, the letters we send back and forth weren't quick enough I guess, I wish she could have warned me before she did that, I have a headache... Anyway, she has called all of us, and you to meet before her in Canterlot." From what I understand Canterlot is the capital of there... Everywhere. Spike was slowly tip-toeing out of the room, I swear this pony has a sixth sense. She rolled her eyes, "Spike? Your coming too" which was briefly responded with a "AWWWW MAN..." And a drooping tail. "Aw"
