Bots of time: the scoots saga
Scoots could feel her body becoming colder there wasn't much life left inside of her. She fought well but she couldn't make a difference she felt her last breath leave her body....
Suddenly she found herself back in the lab where she was created five years ago.
*five years before*
CHAPTER ONE: ESCAPE FROM THE LAB
Scoots woke up to ALOT of buzzing and whirring. She couldn't see anything it was all too blurry. But she appeared to be in a lab of some kind she heard faint voices but she couldn't make them out. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her head and she could see clearly and hear what the other ponies in the room were saying.
"There isn't much time left lime light" said a deep voice that probably belonged to a stallion. "They are going to find the lab".
Scoots was confused she looked around everything looked so familiar but she was just created. "I'm hurrying as fast as I can pheonix!" Said a mares voice. "But this is the biggest project I've ever done!"
Scoots looked over at the project. it appeared to be a white bot of some kind. "It's also the most important!" Said the stallion scoots assumed was named pheonix "if we don't fini-"
"look pheonix she's awake" interrupted limelight looking at scoots. Scoots had so many questions "who are you?" "Where am I?" WHO am I?" But she couldn't seem to make the words leave her mouth.
"Scoots#00012-A is awake. She appears functional but unable to speak" said pheonix to a computer. "Her wings are not yet functional" "limelight give her a voice chip"
"I'm on it!" She inserted the chip into scoots.
"WHAT AM I?" Said scoots suddenly.
"You are a bot, your purpose is to protect the dimensions from evil"said pheonix "you were created for the sole reason to protect." "you must keep us safe from evil" Scoots finally got a good look at the ponies in the room. Pheonix had a red orange coat and a yellow mane. His cutie mark was a flaming wing. Limelight was tall for a mare (how scoots knew that, she was unsure, she had never seen another mare before) she had a lime green coat and a blonde mane with streaks of purple in it. Her cutie mark was of two masks.
"What do you mean dimensions?" scoots asked "there are other dimensions?"
"Yes" limelight answered "quite a few, and they are constantly in danger. It's your job to protect them."
"Well why do i need to protect them?" asked scoots "cant they protect themselves?"
"no." Replied pheonix. "not with all the evil there is in the world"
suddenly the entire room shook as the sound of an explosion was heard. "Oh SHIT!" Shouted pheonix "they're here!"
"Who is here?" Asked scoots.
"The soldier bots, they work for a bot named CHAOS#0000-A." Said pheonix "the first bot we have ever created. and the most powerful. but something went wrong and he turned into an evil mastermind" We have something that he wants. Something he REALLY wants"
"what is it?" Asked scoots. Lime light started to answer her.
"Not important right now" interrupted pheonix as he ran around pressing different buttons. "All that matters is keeping the lab safe"
"why can't I tell her,pheonix?"
"Because" replied pheonix "she doesn't need to know. telling more people than needed is dangerous"
Just then the door came crashing down and two bots came charging in. "GIVE IT TO US" they said in unison. "LORD CHAOS NEEDS IT DESPERATELY" they pulled out guns and pointed them at pheonix
"I don't care if he needs it or not! You aren't getting it!" Said pheonix as he pulled out guns of his own.
"THEN WE WILL JUST HAVE TO TAKE IT FROM YOU BY FORCE!"
"Run scoots!" Shouted limelight. Scoots listened to limelight and ran past the robot and down the hall. She heard the screams of lime light and pheonix they were silenced after the sound of a gun shot.
While she was running she could hear loud explosions coming from all over the base. She had just turned a corner when suddenly- WHAM! She ran right into a soldier bot.
"WHAT?" It said in the same robotic voice the others had. "YOU DARE ATTACK ME?"
"N-no I wasn't" scoots tried to say, but she couldn't because just then the robot shot a huge blast at her causing her to slam into a wall. Rubble and debris fell on top of her. She felt her self slowly drifting out of consciousness. The last thing she heard was another explosion and she was out.
"Hey are you all right?" Said a squeaky voice
"Of course she isn't all right sweetie! She's bleedin!" Said a different voice
"oh i diddnt see the blood". You don't think she's dead do you?"
"No....I'm not dead" said scoots she felt as though she had been hit by a train.
"Well that's good. We were gettin worried. We've seen a lot of dead bodies today. Hang on ah'll pull ya out!" Said a less squeaky voice with a southern accent. Scoots felt a hoof grab her
"can ah get some help sweetie?"
"Sure!" Replied the squeaky voice.
She felt another hoof grab her that she assumed belonged to sweetie. She felt a tug and suddenly she popped out on the floor.
"Are you ok?" Said sweetie (or that's who she was assuming that voice belonged to.). Scoots looked up and saw two young ponies. One was pale yellow with a red mane with a bow in it. The other one was a white unicorn with a pink and purple mane.
"I think so." Replied scoots.
"Well come on." Said the yellow pony "we better get out of here. I don't think those bots have left yet. Can ya walk?" She asked.
. "Yeah I think so" said scoots
"well Ah don't think we've introduced ourselves. I'm bloom#0009-C
"And I'm sweetie #00010-B " said the white filly. "What's your name?" She asked.
"Um I'm scoots#00012-A" scoots replied.
. "Lets go y'all." "Ok " said sweetie. "Here I'll help you up!" She said to scoots.
"Umm thanks" she replied as sweetie helped her up. "No problem!" They started running. The lab appeared to be burned and alot of the walls were broken down, charred remains of bots and ponies were everywhere.
"So." Said sweetie while they were running. "When were you created?"
"About an hour ago" scoots replied.
"Oh so you're a newbie" said sweetie. "bloom and i were created about a week ago. the lab is actually a nice place when it isn't on fire" scoots wasn't sure if she was supposed to laugh at this, but sweetie was smiling so she did anyways.
"Ah think the exit is just through here!" Said bloom. They ran through a hole in the wall and found themselves standing outside the sun was shining and it looked like a perfect day to be escaping from a burning laboratory.
"We did it!" Said sweetie excitedly, jumping up and down
"What did you do?" Said a mares voice. "I hope you don't beilieve you've escaped." Well sorry to tell you this little ones but your pain has only just begun" the mare had navy blue skin and a dark blue and purple mane. She had wings and a horn.
"Who are you?" Asked scoots the mare gave her an uneasy feeling.
"I am nightmare#00002-a. I'm a bot just like you three."replied nightmare
"How did you know we were bots?" Asked sweetie.
"Well magic of course!" Nightmare replied "you know, what that pointy thing on your head does. I can sense wether you are organic or a bot"
"well why can't I do that?" Asked sweetie.
"Maybe because you were a mistake. Or you're just too stupid to figure that out" taunted nightmare
"I am not stupid!" Sweetie charged at nightmare. Nightmare shot sparks from her horn knocking sweetie backwards and rendering her unconscious
"You fool!" Shouted nightmare Do you honestly BELIEVE you could even put a dent in me? Well it's been fun. But it's time to end this!" Nightmare started charging at sweetie, her horn was sparking.
"Leave her alone!" Scoots shouted. she jumped on top of night mare and sent her crashing downwards. She wasn't sure why she was defending sweetie. She had just met her. But something about her made scoots want to fight for her.
"GET OFF OF ME YOU PEST!" Shouted nightmare. She shook scoots off. Scoots ran at her and jumped up to punch her in the face. she wasn't sure what she was trying to accomplish but it was the only thing she could do.
"HAHAHA" laughed nightmare. she picked up scoots with her magic. "Is that all you've got? You really are pathetic" she shot a blast that sent her flying.
Bloom caught her "come on scoots, before she kills us." They picked up sweetie's unconscious body and started running away.
they found a forest just outside the labratory and hid behind a tree. "we lost her" thought scoots. but she was wrong.
. "YOU CAN NOT RUN FROM ME!" Nightmare flew in front of them. "YOU ARE MINE NOW!" She flew up in the air and prepared a dive bomb
"Can't ya fly scoots?" Asked bloom "I mean ya have wings and everything. We could fly away and escape!""
"no I can't! They diddnt finish working on my wings." Said scoots
"Well that's great! What are we gonna do?" Exclaimed bloom.
Nightmare started diving down scoots braced herself, she diddnt want to die yet. she was just created a hour ago then, all of the sudden nightmare stopped.
. "What is it my lord?" She said as though she was talking to someone "why not? They attacked me! They deserve it!" Oh fine!" She turned to scoots and bloom "you're lucky I spared you. But don't think your problems end here. Alot worse things are to come." And with that she flew off.
"What do you think she meant by worse problems?" Asked scoots. "Ah don't know but I reckon we should get out of here. And find some shelter." Said bloom
"You're right, lets go" agreed scoots. they picked up sweetie and continued through the forest.
About an hour in to their walk. Sweetie woke up. "What happened?" She asked. Scoots and bloom told her what happened. "She just flew off?" She asked. "Why would she do that?"
"Ah don't know." Bloom replied. "But it can't be good." Scoots and sweetie agreed. This wasn't over.
"Here's a cave!" Said sweetie. "We could sleep in here!"
"Good idea sweetie" said scoots. "We can't sleep out in the open. It's too dangerous."
They walked into the cave. And made a fire out of some wood they found in the forest. "Well that was quite the day we had today huh?" Said scoots.
"Yeah it was pretty crazy" agreed sweetie. "But I'm glad it happened"
"why?" Asked bloom and scoots. How could she have possibly enjoyed getting kicked around by a robot?
"Because. I got to get to know you guys."
"Awww don't go all sappy on us!" Said scoots. But inside she was glad sweetie cared about her. Scoots liked her too.
"Well ah I think we better go to bed y'all. It's been a long day."
"Yeah I'm really tired" said scoots. They put out the fire and lied down on the cave floor. Scoots fell asleep almost immediately. They had escaped the lab and they were all safe. For now. The battle has only begun. And it won't end anytime soon.

Bots of time: the scoots saga
Scoots was on fire. She wasn't sure why or how she was but she was definitely on fire. The odd thing about the fire was that she couldn't feel any burning and the fire was white and purple. They were swirling around her body. Through the flames she could see two figures talking. One was about the same size as bloom, The other one was tall and didn't look like a pony. Just then the flames disappeared, and she could see the figures more clearly, but she didn't have time to see anymore than a pair of glowing red eyes before the floor gave way and she fell down all she could see was black nothingness. Suddenly down below she saw a swirling red glowing circle, inside she saw black swirled shadows, but she couldn't make them out. The circle got closer and closer, she could hear faint screams coming from inside. She tried to fly up but her wings wouldn't work, she braced herself for impact. She could see the circle, she was going into it wether she liked it or not. It was getting closer and closer. And then-
Scoots found herself lying on the cave floor. Scoots sighed with relief, it was just a dream! There was no screaming shadow circle or purple flames. But those eyes were still burning in the back of scoots mind. She could still here the faint screams. They sounded oddly familiar.
"Good morning sleepy head"
Scoots turned around. Sweetie was standing right behind her. "G-good morning"
"Oh you look terrible" said sweetie "did you have a bad dream?"
"Y-yes" scoots replied. She didn't know why she felt so shy around sweetie. There was just something about her that made her feel nervous.
"Oh that's too bad." Sweetie replied, she sat down next to scoots "do you want to talk about it? I love talking about dreams"
"Ummm sure I guess..." Said scoots uneasily. She was worried her dream would scare away sweetie.
Scoots told sweetie about the dream.
After about 30 seconds of silence sweetie said, "wooooow.... That sounds scary. What do you think it meant?"
"I don't know." Scoots replied. Sweetie took it A lot better than expected. "So where's bloom?" Said scoots in an attempt to change the subject. She felt uncomfortable talking about her dream for so long.
"Oh she's out side building traps." Sweetie replied apparently forgetting about the dream. Or she was just dropping the subject. With sweetie scoots was unsure.
"Traps?" Asked scoots. "Why would we need traps?"
"Well bloom and I decided to turn this cave into a base" replied sweetie "bloom said you could stay with us too." "I mean if you want too"
"Well I don't have anywhere else to go" said scoots. Which was true. She didn't know anypony besides bloom and sweetie. And the forest could be dangerous if lived in it alone. "I'd love to stay with you." A-and bloom!" Scoots added hastily.
"Yaaaaaay!" Said sweetie and she gave scoots a hug.
"Well all the traps are set y'all" said bloom. She had just entered the cave. Scoots quickly pulled away from sweetie.
"Hey bloom!" Said sweetie getting up from the cave floor. "How was setting up the traps?"
"Well it went pretty good" replied bloom. "I'm pretty good with tools."
"Yeah you are!" Said sweetie "why don't you sit down and rest a while? You've earned it."
"Well I still need to find us some food" replied bloom
"It's ok!" Said sweetie "scoots and I could do it! Right scoots?"
"Of course!" Replied scoots. "It'll be easy"
"Well ok" said bloom "if ya want" she lied down on the cave floor and closed her eyes.
"Well come on scoots! Lets go find us some food" she grabbed scoots hoof and pulled her out the door.
"Better watch out" said scoots "we don't want to set off any of bloom's traps"
"Yeah that would be pretty embarrassing" said sweetie.
They walked through the forest in silence for a while looking for food.
"So" said scoots trying to start a conversation "how was the lab? I mean before it exploded"
"Oh it was a pretty nice place" sweetie replied "we got three meals a day and everyone was pretty nice" bloom and I always snuck into the basement and explored around."
"Did you ever have any friends besides bloom there?" Asked scoots.
"I had one. Her name was seed" sweetie replied "she was built about two days before you were." She was always pretty shy and didn't talk much"
"What happened to her?" Asked scoots
"I don't know. She disappeared when the base was attacked" said sweetie
"You don't think she's-" asked scoots "you know...."
"Dead?" Asked sweetie "I hope not. She was pretty nice"
They walked in silence for about five minutes but couldn't find any food. But, Right when they decided that they were just going to eat tree bark, scoots saw a building in the horizon. "Look sweetie!" Said scoots "I think it's a town!"
Sweetie turned to look "I bet there's food there!" She said, excitedly "lets go!"
They ran towards the building, and stopped at a hill. They could see the town in plain view. It was a small village with a lot of food stands and shops. There were ponies walking through the streets doing their shopping. "Well what are we waiting for?" Said scoots and she started running down the hill. She was starving and the smells coming from the various food stands were making her feel even more famished.
"Scoots wait!" Shouted sweeetie. But it was too late. Scoots was already sliding down the hill. Sweetie went sliding by and fell in a heap at the bottom of the hill scoots followed her shortly afterwards.
"What did you want to say to me?" Said scoots, who was panting from the running
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to race" said sweetie "but I won anyways so it's ok"
"Well I could have won if I knew we were racing" said scoots defensively.
"Suuuuure" replied sweetie
"Lets just get some food" said scoots
"Good Idea" agreed scoots. She helped scoots up and they started walking through the town.
The sight was like something in a dream there were shops and food stands everywhere. Different smells wafted through the air. All of them smelled good. Ponies walked around all through out the town happily talking to one another. Scoots and sweetie stopped at a stand that was selling various apple products such as pies, fritters, dumplings and cider. "These look delicious" said sweetie.
"Lets grab some" said scoots, her mouth watering. They grabbed all the pie, fritters and tarts they could grab and started to walk away.
"I hope ya have enough bits to pay for all that" said a gruff voice. They wheeled around and saw a big muscular gray stallion angrily glaring at them
"B-bits" said sweetie "what are those"
"It's what ya pay me with, kid." Said the stallion "if ya ain't got any bits. Ya ain't gettin any apples"
"Oh" said sweetie "we'll leave then." They started walking away sadly. That food looked so good.
"I'll pay for them" said a stallion in a black cloak. They couldn't see his face. He dropped a large bag of bits on table
He put all the pies they were carrying into a large bag. He looked directly at scoots and said, "the truth can be dangerous but sometimes danger is necessary for survival. Remember that"
"Um thanks" scoots said. But he already ran away.
"Hey kid" said the sales stallion "ya know that guy?"
"No" replied scoots still trying to figure out what just happened.
"Well your lucky he showed up" said the stallion. "Now scram! I think I see a PAYING customer"
Scoots and sweetie ran back up the hill and started walking up the hill still thinking about what just happened. "Are you sure you diddnt know that guy?" Said sweetie finally.
"Yeah" said scoots "I've never seen him before"
"Well that's weird why he acted like that" said sweetie
"Yeah" scoots replied " at least we got some food"
"I know!" Sweetie agreed "I'm starving!"
When they got back to the cave bloom was sleeping on the cave floor. Sweetie shook her awake. "Hey bloom!" She said "we got some food"
"Oh" bloom said groggily "what took y'all so long?"
"We couldn't find any food" said sweetie, opening the bag and handing bloom a pie.
"Where did ya get that?" Asked bloom
"A town about 20 miles from here" said scoots.
"How did y'all pay for that?" Asked bloom
Scoots and sweetie told her about the stallion in the cloak and what he said.
"The truth is dangerous" repeated bloom. "What do you think she meant by that?
"I don't know" replied scoots "but lets eat for now. Im starving"
They had a delicious dinner of pie and fritter. Scoots was reaching for another pie when she pulled out a tattered book.
"What's that?" Asked bloom
"I don't know" said scoots. Why would there be a random old book in their sack of food?
"Maybe that stallion put it in there." Said sweetie "lets open it"
Scoots opened the book and a piece of paper fell out of the book.
"What's that?" Scoots said. She picked up the paper and read aloud.
"Dear, number 12,9, and 10,
The book you hold in your hands is the journal of the creator of bots like us, his name is unknown. But this journal will give you very valuable information about your powers. But unfortunately a lot of the pages have been ripped out, it is my belief that CHAOS has stolen it. But we are unsure why. We have much to discuss. Expect me at your cave in about two weeks..

"How does he know we live in a cave?" Asked sweetie. "And what does he want to discuss with us?""
"I'm not sure" scoots replied "I wonder what's in the book"
Bloom opened the journal "it looks like a bunch of blue prints for stuff he built." Said bloom "we could use this"
Bloom flipped through the book "here's a page about bots!"
She read it aloud, "the world is no longer safe. We need something to defend ourselves. I have created CHAOSDESTROYER#0000-A. He is equipped with ultimate alicorn magic as well as powerful armor. He is indestructible"
Bloom turned the page "SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG WITH CHAOS. HE WON'T LISTEN TO ORDERS. HE HAS ESCAPED AND DESTROYED THE LAB. THE WORLD IS IN GRAVE DANGER! I have created plans for a large army of bots hopefully that will be enough. I've also managed to take back some of the alicorn magic inside of chaos. I have hidden it in-"
"The page is burned off there" said bloom.
"Maybe there's something in the back of the journal" said sweetie.
"I'll check" said bloom.
She turned to the last page which was covered entirely by ash. Bloom blew off the ash. The ash flew up and started swirling around. "What is that thing?!?" Shouted sweetie. "I don't know!" shouted scoots. The ash started forming into some kind of creature. It said in a raspy metallic voice. "Do not read that journal little bots. This matter does not concern you. It will just get you hurt!"
"Who are you?" Asked scoots. She was scared. Mysterious swirling talking ash clouds are never a good sign
"It does not matter who I am" the ash beast started advancing on them. "All that matters is that you give me the journal. If you don't. I will kill all three of you"
"Why do you want the journal so badly?" Asked sweetie "it's ours. It was given to us"
"By someone you don't even know!" Said the cloud "now this is your last chance! Give me the journal, or die!"
"You aren't getting it!" Said bloom "how do we know you aren't going to use it for evil?"
"What is evil?" Said the cloud "evil to one could be perfectly acceptable to another. But that is besides the point. If you wish to be difficult. I will just have to kill you!" The ash then rose up and consumed the entire cave. Scoots couldn't see anything, everything was black. Then the cloud started shaking and the entire cave exploded. Scoots couldn't hear or see anything. Everything was just black with specks of light. "This must be what death feels like" thought scoots. She saw a bright flash of light and then she was out........
