Pinkie Pie has been locked away in the basement of Sugar Cube Corner and forced to listen as a Changeling takes her place in Ponyville and starts baking her friends into cupcakes one by one. The changeling's latest victim is to be Rainbow Dash, but through sheer luck the two are (accidentally) saved at the last minute by the most unlikely of heroes.

The doctors are able to save Rainbow Dash's wings, cutie-marks and find her suitable donor organs, but it looks doubtful that she will regain function of her wings and overcome the her psychological trauma. Can Pinkie help her mentally scarred friend overcome her fears and make her see realize that she would never hurt her? Will Rainbow Dash ever fly again?
