The Other Student

Twilight shouted before accidentally knocking the dragon across the room.Still trying to regain his composure Twilight commands him to find a book called "Predictions and Prophecies" . Neglecting the present for Moondancer Spike starts the search for said book.After a little search Spike finds the book.Twilight then proceeds to snatch the book from Spike but not until after flinging him to the floor.After a light read Twilight sends a letter to Princess Celestia about the mere in the moon.Rather quickly celestia responds with another letter saying...

My faithful student Twilight, you must stop shutting yourself in the library. So you can enjoy some of my wonderful sunshine i order you to to watch over the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this years location Ponyville. I have arranged for you to meet up with "the other student" to assist you however you see fit. And there is an ulterior motive at hand make some friends or at least get some vitamin D

I just need to get my duties done and i can find a way to take care of nightmare moon."The chariot landed in what is Ponyville and almost automatically out of the world of candy colored horses spots what seems to be the dullest thing in Equestria with only spots of blue the rest is some shade of grey.But he was very odd for the fact was he was an earth pony reading a flouting book.The stallion notices the glaring that is coming from Twilight as she comprehends what this means. He then looks up with his trademark deadpan face and said"Hello you must be Twilight Sparkle. I am your assistant." He then continues to read his book feeling as if the conservation was over.Twilight was then shocked, amazed, and disturbed that a earth pony is 1.in princess Celestas school for talented UNICORNS 2.He is reading a floating book which looks like a dictionary and 3. HES NOT A UNICORN SO HOW IS HE MAKING IT FLOUT!!!

While twilight was busy trying to figure out a logical reason for what she is seeing a certain pink pony starts to walk up to the mysteries ponies.  Upon closer inspection she notices that they are new to ponyville and does what that certain pink pony does best which to be put simply overacting while breaking the laws of gravity. Twilight startled by the sudden appearance of a strange pink pony which she notices is suspended in the air for an anomaly amount of time while making a exasperated "huaaaaaaa" and leaves in a pink blur. Twilight is just standing there still trying to comprehend the gray pony but also the pink one now too. Spike notices her eye is twitching and she is making a weird face. He then prods her to see if she is ok. She shakes her head and then looks at the grey pony who is still reading his book.Twilight then asks what is your name?" after five long freezing seconds of pure silence he says without looking away from his book "shouldn't you be checking the food" ."Yes i probally should".She then leans over to spike and wispers"See what you can find out about him, just follow him and see what he does, Ok .""Ya twilight i will but... where is he?"She then looks and sees that the gray pony has dissapered."Just look around town for him then."As twilight saw spike scamper off into the town she left to find "Sweet Apple Acers"

Upon her arrival she notices an orange pony bucking for apples. Twilight then goes to talk to her. "Do you know where a pony called Applejack is?".the orange pony replies."Why tha's me, why ya'll askin?""Well i'm Twilight Sparkle and I am from canterlot to check on the food for the..." (she was interrupted when Applejack put her hoof out and had a surprisingly vicious hoof-shake)"Well mighty nice t'a meet ya Twilight Sparkle i'm Applejack. Say don'cha wan'a meet the Apple family?" Twilight still shaken from the hoof-shake says "I just want to check the food"."That's just it ,with the Apple family we can do them both."Applejack says while dragging her away to a small gazebo. Applejack then goes to the triangle and yells as loud as she can "SOUPS ON EVERYPONY!"Then just like magic all sorts of pony's starts showing up.Applejack then introduces all them to Twilight while they put a corresponding apple product on the table in front of her."This heres Apple Fritter, Apple Bumpkin, Red Gala, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp, Big McIntosh, Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith.Rise and shine granny we got company."The old wrinkly pony in the rocking chair wakes up and then mutters a something that is not understandable to the egghead.

"Well i guess the food is taking care of. I will be leaving then." Then a little filly previously called Apple Bloom."Aren't you going to stay for brunch?" "Well i'm awfully busy.""I would be glad to stay if you offer food."Said the strange gray pony hanging upside down on the limb of a nearby tree using his hind legs as a hook. His book is flouting in the air in front of him.The Apple family is all bewildered by the strange earth pony that they previously dint see even though of his location is quite obvious , the start to mumble about him. Twilight wanting to avoid the grey pony as much as possible then leaves to check on the weather.
