Ten Years

Discord awoke to another dreadful morning in Ponyville. He asked himself every morning how he got trapped in this situation. Ten years ago, Fluttershy had took advantage over his one moment of weakness and changed his ways of living. For the first three years, everything was fine. He was a member of the community, a respected one at that. However, over time, he started to miss the days of when he could just be himself. He slowly began to resent the ponies around him and his anger festered with each passing moment.

Discord decided that today was the day that he would take action. He walked out of his house and was ready to head off to Canterlot when Twilight stopped him,

"Discord, wanna go down to Sweet Apple Acres? Applejack is going to be-"

"I'm sorry Twilight Sparkle, but I have made arrangements to meet with the princess today at this time. Again, I am sorry for not being able to attend. Don't let my absence ruin your fun." Discord faked a smile.

"Oh, that's too bad," Twilight said with disappointment, "well, say hello to Celestia for me."

"I will," Discord turned towards the direction of Canterlot, "I most certainly will." Discord lowered his tone into a grumble and clenched his teeth. With a snap of his fingers, he appeared just outside of Celestia's throne room.

As Discord approached the throne room, the guards at the door nodded to him and opened the door with their magic. They saw him as a friend, just like everyone else. It disgusted him. It was but a moment of weakness. Fluttershy only manage to change his ways temporarily. After a few years without being himself, he slowly became resentful and despised the ponies that called him their friend. Discord saw Princess Celestia sitting on top of her throne from the doorway and shouted,

"Princess Celestia. I'm sure you're aware of why I asked for an audience with you?"

Celestia nodded, "I was wrong about you Discord. I thought you could be changed, but it turns out that you are not capable of change. You only seek your own personal benefit."

Discord started walking towards the throne, stopping to admire the stained glass windows every now and then, "when you say it that way, you make me sound like an irrational being," Discord stopped to look at a window that depicted Twilight turning him into stone for a second time, "It's just that I'm being perfectly rational here. You know what it's like to be forced to change your ways because someone got upset? Do you know how much I wanted to just snap my fingers and make things the way I want them? I'm too far gone to be changed Celestia, I am, and forever will be, the spirit of chaos and disharmony."

Celestia noticed that the creature before her began exuding a green aura around him, "Discord!" She yelled, "What are you doing?!"

Discord began stomping towards Celestia, each step emmited a bright green light from beneath his hoof and paw, "For ten years, I've been waiting for this moment. For ten years, I lay stuck in the trap you had set up for me. I would have rather been turned back to stone if I knew how much grief would come of my moment of weakness."

Celestia glared at the creature approaching her,

"Ten years," Discord roared with a fury that shook the very foundation of the castle, "ten whole agonizing years of despair have made me realize that nopony will ever control me! I can do what I want whenever I want!"

Celestia stood her ground against the vengeful draconoquis. She was prepared for a fight, but that aura was something she had never seen before. Whatever it was, she did not like it.

"Now, it's time for you to die!" Discord snapped his fingers and teleported behind Celestia and sunk his teeth into her neck.

"Aaaahh!" Celestia screamed. She quickly concentrated her magic so that it would force Discord off. A single blast of golden energy from Celestia's horn was enough to send her attacker into he air. She winced, the mark that Discord had left stung immensely, but she did her best to ignore the pain. Celestia looked up to see Discord floating in the air with both arms extended and hands open. He quickly pulled his arms in and shut his hands. A loud crash could be heard. Discord had smashed two of the stained glass windows decorating the hall, Discord began swirling the shards around like a tornado. Celestia's eyes widened as she braced herself for what was about to come.

"I am untamable!" Discord shouted as be sent the millions of glass shards at Celestia. She casted a shield around her with magic and it stopped the fragments from reaching her temporarily. They were hitting her magic so hard and so fast, that she could see the barrier start to crack. Soon enough, the entire shield shattered and the glass swirls began cutting away at every inch of the sun princesses' body. She couldn't hear herself scream over the sound of rushing wind.

Discord snapped his fingers and the tornado instantly stopped, the bloodied glass pieces began falling to the floor. Celestia's coat was now completely red and the puddle of blood pooling around her seemed like it would never stop. Discord walked up to the mangled alicorn. He lowered himself down to her and whispered,

"Celestia, that was fun, but I'm afraid I can't play with you anymore." Discord could hear the sound of blood gurgling from Celestia's mouth as she tried to respond, "I never did like having toys, I'd always wind up breaking them, but boy did I have fun doing it. Goodbye princess, I need to pay my dear Ponyville friends a visit, hahahahahahaha!"
