Nightmare Night Special: The Wrath of Pyramid Head

Previous Chapter

There was the sound of steel scraping against steel, and it was then that time seemed to almost stop.

Zero seconds.

The foul pony, known only as Pyramid Head, stood in front of the three mares, the Great Knife at the ready. The sword was immensely long, reaching far behind the dreaded monster. It sat on a hinge that connected to a brace on Pyramid Head's front right hoof rather than ending in a handle. The blade was scraping across the floor as Pyramid Head was swinging his hoof out, attempting to strike at his prey. The three mares were paralyzed by the fear that filled their very beings.

One second.

The blade finally lifted off the ground, speeding towards the defenseless mares. Two of them started to duck under the path of the Great Knife, but the third was still held back by the fear she had for the horrible being that stood in front of her. Instantly, thoughts raced through her mind. She thought of all the bad that she had caused in her life; all the bullying she did as a child, all the taunting she did as a teen, and all the abuse she gave as an adult. In those few moments before the sword reached her neck, she felt truly sorry for all she had done, but it was too late. Nothing was going to save her now.

SHKINK!

Two seconds.

The Great Knife sliced through the pony's neck, and her pink head tumbled onto the ground, blood pooling out of the wound. Her body soon followed as Pyramid Head's blade embedded itself into the steel wall nearby, the horrible sound of ripping steel echoing throughout the room with the screams of the other two ponies. Pyramid Head began to pull at the blade to wrench it free from the wall.

Three seconds.

The remaining mares began to run away from the monster as he finally managed to pull the sword from the wall, using the momentum to almost immediately catch up with them. As he swung up to them, the grey mare tripped and fell, allowing Pyramid Head to catch up with her. She turned over onto her back to see exactly what was chasing her. Fear filled her heart as his metallic face's point was directly in her face. The Great Knife had folded against Pyramid Head's leg in order for him to be able to do what he did next.

Four seconds.

Pyramid Head grabbed her with one hoof as the other mare turned around to see what had happened to her ally. The grey mare was raised into the air, her legs flailing every which way to try and get the monster off of her. However, this was to no avail, as Pyramid Head did not respond to the flailing of the grey pony or to the almost distant cries of her friend.

Five seconds.

Pyramid Head now stood on his hind legs, reaching his left forehoof up to his victim's soft coat. He began to pull as she screamed in agony, and in one swift swing, he had pulled off her skin, leaving a limp body in his hooves. The screaming coming from the grey pony silenced, but with it came the start of screams from the brown pony up ahead. Pyramid Head looked in her direction.

Six seconds.

Casting the body off to the side, the monster threw the skin at the brown mare, hitting her directly. She puked as the wet blood made contact with her previously clean coat. The weight of the skin seemed to also be too much for her, as Pyramid Head watched her buckle her knees and fall to the ground.

Seven seconds.

Pyramid Head unlocked the Great Knife from his side, letting it drop with a loud

CLANG!

and dragging it along the ground. He was slowly walking towards his victim, who was now in tears.

Eight seconds.

Pyramid Head was here. The mare knew it, and she couldn't do anything about it. She never saw him swing the Great Knife upwards, ready for the attack.

Nine seconds.

As the Great Knife came down upon the mare, she though of her past. She had treated her cousin and her friends horribly, and even though she apologized, she felt distant. She knew this fate was meant for her, for what she'd done in the past. There was no escaping your fate.

SHKINK!

The blade sliced through her, cutting her in half. Blood sprayed everywhere, but Pyramid Head made no notice of this. The deed was done, and it was his time to leave.

Ten seconds.
