It’s been ten-thousand years since the attack, nine-thousand-eighty-four since our defenses crumbled against their onslaught, and nine-thousand-eighty since we escaped into space on one of their ships. My name is Argen, and I am one of the 20,000 beings aboard this ship. I am a part of the military branch dedicated to searching out a hospitable planet for our race to call a home.
The calendar is 10002-AD and we are running low on supplies. We have noted a possible planet that should theoretically support life due to its location in the habitable zone. It is a Terrestrial body orbiting a class-D yellow star.
I got chosen by some dumb stroke of bad luck after I specifically asked not to go because of the fact that I had a family to look after, So… I should have seen that one coming because said officer hated me for putting my family before the entire population of the ship… did not earn it. Hello four month journey through space with only enough fuel to get me there and the uncertainty of the safety of my family. Fan-fucking-tastic. I have a set of HVX-1192 Orbital insertion armor for if I have issues with the ship, and need a 'speedy escape' so to speak.
I’m off to the scout vessel, My lovely prison for the next six fucking months.” I mumble using a curse word from a few dozen years ago. I used that curseword due to not liking the profane new ones conjured up by the adolescence members on board the ship. (All who use those profanities will be mugged) It reminded me of when we lived without death on our doorstep. I always wished that the era of 'harmony' and all that stuff was still real, but that was childish and so “15 year old” of me. I know it is just a phantasmal hope and I will never end up in the 'era of harmony'. (Least I snuck a video player and my favorite TV series into my travel bags along with a few books, and a ancient animal plushie… what?! You get lonely after a few months of nothingness in space!) So I’m due at the launch in thirty. Gotta go, and see-ya next time! … wheres the stop button?? … ah there it is..-*static*

“Now girls, thank you for coming to help me with this experiment that I’ve been working on for a few weeks now, I hit a dead end with the translation of the material for a few hours then realized it said it required six ponys involved and not… one young dragon… heheheh sorry spike.” Twilight says confidently near the beginning then gets quieter near the end with an abashed look on her face.
“Sugarcube, you know it’s not yer fault for mistaking them fancy scribbles for a one instead o’ a six. And ah’m sure that spike’ll forgive ya Twi. RIGHT spike?” Apple jack says while giving a now pink baby dragon a death glare.
”Oh uh.. y-yeah… heheh sorry twilight. I don’t mind being pink that much, and hey! Maybe rarity likes pink dragons!” Spike shouts quite loudly, before remembering that a certain white unicorn was within earshot. “Uh… not that I’d care if she did or anything…” Spike mutters awkwardly while rarity gives him a curious look.
“Aww isn’t my wittle spikey wikey just so cute when he’s all shy and embarrassed!!” Rarity squeals while cradling him like a baby, causing him to turn an even brighter pink usually associated with pinkie pie.
“Yeah, well girls if we could get back on track and stop embarrassing spike even though he is so adorable while embarrassed, this experiment is of EXTREME importance!” twilight huffs in an annoyed manner.
“Every experiment is of EXTREME importance to you egghead! And can we get this over with, because I was in the middle of my mid-afternoon nap, and at this rate I’ll miss my mid-mid-afternoon nap too!” Rainbow dash states in a huff, who was at the moment, lounging on the top of the stairs, with a half-aware glare sweeping over the other ponies.
“ N-now rainbow I-I’m sure that this IS important to twilight.” Comments Fluttershy, in a timid whisper, to rainbow with an annoyed semi-glare, which turned to a pitiful frightened look as she drove herself back behind her pink mane uttering a quick and adorable “eep” after all the ponies in the room turned to face the shy yellow, and animal loving, Pegasus.
“Ooh Ooh! Can we have a “congratulations on the new spell Twilight party” party after you cast the spell?” Pinkie shouts who had to this moment- had been unnaturally quiet and still.
“Well maybe after this whole experiment is over Pinkie but not right now. These components I have set up are highly fragile.” Twilight states in a matter of fact, and very twilightish tone before moving on and saying “Now every-pony just step into these circles and stand completely still. And are you all sure you want to do this? It is a highly unstable spell, And I don’t know if I can guarantee your safety. This is the last chance to back down, and I can find some-pony else if you don’t want to do this.” Says Twilight while motioning to the pentagon shaped array of circles with another lone circle at the center.
“Okie dokey loki!”
“Sure thing sugar-cube.”
“O-okay.. if you don’t mind, I don’t really want to d-do this….”
“That’s okay Fluttershy, I had some-pony as a backup in case one of you didn’t want to do this, so everypony meet Moonlight Shine!” Twilight shouts as a blue unicorn walks in, slightly embarrassed from the greetings.
“Hi!” Every-pony says, greeting Moonlight as she walks up to the group.
“Oh, um, hello…” Moonlight states awkwardly before twilight continues getting confirmations.
“Okay every-pony else, state where you stand!” Twilight hollers.
“You bet! The fastest flier in equestrian isn’t scared of a little, possibly deadly, experimental spell that might tear us all to pieces!”
“eep” Fluttershy squeaks before collapsing unconscious to the oaken floor of the library.
“great now Fluttershy is out cold.”
“Not my fault!"
“Rainbow… It kindah was…”
“Is every-pony in position?”
“Yes."
“Uh Huh!”
“Of course I am darling! When am I NOT ready?” Rarity states in a huff, flipping her mane and staring Twilight in the eyes.
“Dash reporting in, ma’am!”
“you already said yes Rainbow.” Twilight says bluntly.
“I’m good.” Moonlight states quietly.
After everypony individually states their confirmation and reach their respective circles, Twilight says “Great now to cast the spell…” *twilight's horn begins to glow casting an eerie purple light across the room as the patterns begin to light up and swirl lividly across the floor before a massive flash of light occurs blinding everyone.
After the blast of light subsides, and the ponies regain their senses, applejack yells in an unseemly panic “WHERE THE BUCK ARE WE!”
"Uh... Uh hello, any-pony home?" Fluttershy meekly states after awaking to find the library empty.

An explosion rocks through the ship, knocking Argen out of bed. “AUUGH! What was that!” groaning I lift myself out of the bunk and look around the interior of the scout vessel still cradling the ancient animal plushie like a baby or some other precious fragile object… “What? I told you I had a luna plushie! Wait… why am I talking to a recorder? … ah buck it. What was that noise anyway…?” mumbling to myself as I see the cockpit door ajar.
“Hmm… interesting… I had that closed and I’m the only living thing on board… no offence plushie, I’m gonna check out that noise.” Walking Into the cockpit I look around carefully, before tripping over a body-like object and face planting to the steel floor.
“oww… that hurt. And what the hay did I trip on turning around to see… a purple… unicorn.” A... what??? Fuck. “AUGH!!!! How did you get on here!”
“Eeeeek! Who are you!” the purple unicorn squeals as it wakes up and sees me.
“AAAAAAAH! Civilian!? On my vessel?! What in the world? Well might as well try and say hello… “Hello, Whats your um… name unicorn pony thing???” “My name is Argent, Commandeer of this ship.”
“Eh-mm… My name is… Twilight sparkle.”
Definitely civilian. “Who cares.” Seriously? Oh well… “Well looks like you’re in for a LONG ride miss sparkle.”
“And why would that be? Whoever you are."
“Just Look Out the window.”
“whats so special about whats outside… the… window…” Twilight sparkle states as she goes to what she guesses to be the window, and is stunned by the vast empty space, and distinct lack of her home…. “Well buck... not to mention… eeek!”
“Five unknown personnel detected in the cargo-hold, initiating defensive protocols and elimination procedures.” the ship AI states in a drone after ‘Twilight Sparkle’ faints.
“Oh crap. That's not supposed to happen..” Argent runs towards the cargo bay as if his tail was on fire, it was, but that's besides the point.
