scared, hurt and just.....alone
The night was cold and dark, well that WAS to be expected in the Everfree though, none the less, it was a place that nopony wanted to be and especially Flora. Flora Blossom was the third eldest of the Blossom family, and she and Heart Blossom, he sister, raised their two younger siblings by them selves, their Mother Lilac Blossom had died a horrible death while giving birth to their second youngest sister Fauna, their littlest sister was Sweetie and she was adopted. The head of the family, was their eldest sibling orange, but he ran off with a mare shortly after the death of their mother. the father's name was Oak wood blossom, he like their mother died, but at this time the blossom children were all young foals with Orange and Heart
left to help their mother care for Flora.
Flora was walking through the side of the Everfree closest to ponyville, where the Blossom Family now resided, she was in search of a plant to help Nurse Red-heart with some sick foals, and it as rather difficult to find, for it resided deep within Manticore territory.
*RUSTLE* "oooowwwwwwwwwch!",
Flora Gasped and jumped back a few feet when she realized the Brier Bush next to her just spoke, then she spotted it; the herb she needed! she walked forward to harvest it when a tall, sleek figure jumped out,
" Stop where you are Pony!!!!",
As Flora realized whom the tall, black, holey Mare was she screamed and tried to run, but was stopped short when a pleading voice started begging,
" I-I'm so sorry d-did I scare you, please come back, please.......",
As she stopped she turned and asked,
" Why should I, your just going to suck the love out of me! you Chrysalis, are a DESPICABLE, FOUL, creature whom shouldn't be alive!"
The queen of changlings looked at her tearing up and said in a quiet voice,
" If somepony would just once listen to my story, then they would know WHY I look as I do, WHY I am the queen of this race, and WHY this race even exists.",
When the queen said those words Flora felt a pang of Guilt in her heart and decided that she would be the first,
" I-I'll listen if i can get that there blue-purple plant to the nurse. Disguise your self as a foal and I will allow you into my home. I'll set up a room for you to stay in if, and ONLY if you make a magic promise not to feed off the love in ponyville except the portion I give off and ONLY when I allow you to, GOT IT?",
The queen looked puzzled and replied,
" Why would you do that to me, I thought you wanted me to die?",
" W-Well I'm sorry I said that, and I would like to know why you're the queen, why the species is here and why you have.....holes and..........insect like wings an-OH NO I'M LATE, we've got to go Now!".
As the queen transformed Flora was wondering why she was doing such a risky, irresponsible thing such as allowing not only a changling, but the QUEEN of changlings into her home, she knew she was doing something foolish, and yet, she not only wanted to, but needed to hear out chrysalis as if compelled by some unknown force, Flora HAD to do this.
As she and the "young filly" drew closer to the hospital they broke into a trot, hearing the terrible sounds of complete and utter pain, they could not bear it.
Upon entering the hospital the sound got even worse, Flora thought to herself Nopony should ever make sounds like that, to do so they would have to be in excruciating pain!!!!! while queen chrysalis thought i cant stand it! there is no love, only fear, sadness, and pain, i cant take this much longer!!! it's too much like the past as she did so tears welled up in her eyes, thinking of terrible memory's that had sounds quite similar to now.
As they neared the room of the young foals Nurse Red Heart came out in a rush to meet them and quickly thanked Flora took the herb and ran off. Flora quickly took the queen back to her home and sat down on the bed after locking her bedroom door making sure that Fauna, Sweetie, nor Heart could get in, and said,
"OK chryssy, explain to me, I want every little detail and I want as little as possible left out, you can start any time your ready.",
chrysalis looked down to the ground and asked,
" May I please feed, I've not eaten in over two weeks......Please",
Flora looked shocked, the powerful Changeling queen as begging a poor village pony to feed! Flora quickly said,
"My dear, you do not have to beg me, just politely ask, and after you do I shall allow you to feed, go ahead, just don't take too much, some say if one takes too much you will die, and I don't want to find out that one the hard way",
The queen had a hint of anger upon her face as she explained,
" A changeling cannot kill another pony by taking its love, or weaken it, if a changeling feeds from a pony the two will forever be connected, as friends that will NEVER betray the other and the bond will never break, until the normal pony dies, then and only then will that bond be broken, Shining Armour and I have...er, had a link until just recently he passed away, nopony knows it but he and I were GREAT friends, not mortal enemy's, now I shall feed then tell you my story.....Friend.",
The queen moved closer and touched her horn to Flora's head and a green aura lit up around her horn making Flora suddenly Happier.
