I Miss You Dashie
Slave and Her Kill
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Now what?” said Kyle, sitting on a rock.
“What else? We have to save Twilight!” I blinked. Strong words, especially for Fluttershy. ”Who knows what could have happened to her? She might be dead!”
Dr. Whooves looked thoughtful. “I don’t think she’s dead. Even with all the chaos going on here, Twilight wouldn’t turn evil like that on her own. There must be some sort of outside force influencing her psyche. There are things worse than death, after all. I’ve been through worse, surely.”
We continued walking. I started trying to think of a way to save Twilight. She’s immensely powerful, so we need magic. Kyle is the only one among us who can use magic right now, but he’s untrained. And still, the magic Twilight was using was on a whole other level. She shot a freaking lightning bolt and killed Rainbow Blitz! And that fireball was at least ten feet in diameter. My wings still burned painfully. Kyle needed a magic teacher. A powerful one. I went through all the ponies that could help us. Twilight sure can’t. Rarity? No, Rarity focused on dexterity. Multiple objects all at once, all small. No use in a fight. Who else? We can’t make it to Canterlot without getting destroyed, so I pulled a blank. We plodded on through the Everfree, still wondering what to do. As we walked, Ditzy and Dr. Whooves were discussing the situation with each other.
After we walked almost wordlessly until sunset, and as Luna’s moon crawled through the sky, we stopped to rest. Dr. Whooves had somehow made a fire in a clearing. As we sat around the fire, eating food that Fluttershy had gathered with Kyle, we discussed our situation.
“Where could Twilight be?” Kyle was thinking hard. “Can’t she teleport or something? We have no idea where she could be!”
I blinked in frustration. “Crap! I forgot about that. I was also thinking that we need to find somepony that can use magic. You need somepony to help you use the horn on your head. We can’t stand up to Twilight otherwise.”
Kyle started throwing things around with magic. “ think I’ll practice on my own, okay?”
“Don’t go too far.”
“Yeah, whatever.” I watched Kyle walk away. I had a sense of overwhelming fear that something was going to happen, maybe to Kyle, maybe to my Dashie.
Please, stay safe.
Kordis chuckled at his new servant. He loved looking at that defeated face, sucking up all the desperation radiating out of her body and slowly breaking her will further. Soon enough, she will be mentally unable to deny any command he gave, often to the point of doing it all willingly. He already sensed the power in the slave’s aura, and enjoyed that it was all his. She was his instrument, his tool. He had a blast breaking her over the full of the day. She was grudgingly obedient, slowly growing more accustomed to his commands. She gradually turned darker and darker, to the point of being almost as evil and twisted as he was. He was satisfied when she willingly and swiftly killed several ponies he had captured, skinned them, and ate the raw flesh. She ate them, bones picked clean, regardless of how wrong it was. Her only complaint was that Lyra was a bit stringy. Probably from standing on her back two hooves for so long. He went over and weaved the smaller bones into her mane. She smiled up at him when he was finished. Good. She was accustomed to her master. Yet, he had to remember that he shouldn't get attached to his slave. His pawn, nothing else. After a few hours of rest, he called her over.
“Slave, there is competition in these woods. Another user of magic. You will sense him by his unique aura. You will destroy this threat to your master, and come back. I may reward you if the task is complete. You don’t even have to kill him. Weaken him to the point of immobility, and he will die eventually. Nopony in this land will ever help him.”
Twilight bowed to him, and teleported away.
Twilight had her mission. She didn’t like her master, but she couldn’t disobey. Not anymore. She scanned the surrounding forest. The target was carelessly using his magic. Poor fool, how weak he is. His spells were not worth Master’s time. He was with several others, around a fire. He moved away from the others he was sitting with, and she followed. One shot, and he fell silently, his force quickly fading. He lay there, unmoving. Twilight smiled, as it was a perfect hit.
“I should get back to Master. He will miss me, his... what am I? My name is... my name...” She shook her head. “No matter. I am a slave to the Master now. That is all I am. I should be grateful to Master. He has kept me safe, and has given me food.” She smiled, remembering the taste of that red, quiet one, Big Mac, he was called. "Surely he cares for me, regardless of what I am."
With a smile, Slave teleported back to her Master.
“It is done, Master.”
I was shocked at what I saw approaching the fire. A figure dragging a limp body. I stared in shock as Discord and Kyle shone in the flickering light of the fire.
“Lookie what I found.”
