Who cares about the past?by BluFlamePonyChaptersA filly and a mareDelete, delete, Error, error.PrologueA filly and a mareOther than the fact that Sweetie Belle was found, Twilight still had to find the other crusaders. At the same time though, she had to heal Sweetie Belle. She was deeply ill, and could barely walk, talk, or even open her eyes. The air around Twilight as so hazy that it was almost hard to breath. She coughed as a large puff of dust blew into her face when she bumped into a curtain. She almost felt as if she was in an invisible box, unable to move her body. (Except for her hooves, of course.) The amount of bugs and rodents in this room was unbelievable, making Twilight feel even worse. Her legs had began to get sore, and her throat began hurting again. She had already tried the water spell, which pulled water out of thin air, but the air was too moldy and dirty here. She felt as if she would drop dead at any second. A drop of some kind of liquid splashed onto Twilight's violet mane, and it soaked through onto her face. She took no notice of it. The liquid sat on her cheek until it mixed in with the tears that she had began to shed. She didn't want Sweetie Belle to see her crying, so she wiped them away quickly. Sweetie was still asleep on her back, so Twilight surrounded her with a magenta aurora and placed her into the empty saddle-bag pocket. She fit like a glove. Twilight noticed a small sparkle at the corner of Sweetie Belle's eye. She was crying. "Bad dream, eh?" She asked, silently. The filly didn't answer. Twilight felt silly to herself, talking to a sleeping filly. She carried on, calmed by the sound of her hooves clopping against the damp, moldy ground, the water dropping at a rhythmic pattern, the the soft exhaling of the small pony. The previous hallways, where the dried up corpses hung, was far behind her, now. "Oi, Lame-o!" Cried a voice behind her. Twilight spun around faster than ever before, and backed up from the shadow in front of her. "G...Gilda?" She recognized Rainbow Dash's old griffon friend. She was pleased to see a familiar face, even though Gilda was a pretty unpleasant creature. "You dragged me in, now you get me out." Gilda responded. Twilight tipped her head to one side. "Pardon me? Where's Rainbow Dash? Applejack? Fluttershy? Where are they?" She asked, desperate for an answer. "You dragged me in, now you get me out." The griffon repeated. "What the heck are you talking about? I didn't drag you in here, you came in here yourself! Wait...the book said that only unicorns could experience a dream like this. How are you here?" Asked Twilight, puzzled. "Beats me, maybe the book forgot to mention griffons. Now, for the last time. Get me out." Gilda threatened. Her eagle talons seemed shinier than before, so Twilight was cautious. "The dream ends as mysteriously as it comes. There is nothing I can do to you out." "You have the magic! So does that little brute you have in your saddle-bag! Come on, dweeb! I'm starting to lose my mind in here!" "Pinkie Pie said on the radio that the only way to get out was to get to the green door. She...said that I'd be safe there." Twilight remembered the message her pink friend had given her. She shivered at the sound of her screaming. again, she asked herself, what did Rainbow do? "Well, lets go find this door, pronto!" Gilda nudged Twilight -hard- in the shoulder, and the two began walking back down the hallway. Sweetie belle began to stir, and when she noticed Gilda, her eyes went wide and she crept back into the saddle-bag. "Twilight...what's she doing here?" "Ssh..go back to sleep, Sweetie belle." "Okay." Author's Note These chapters are getting worse and worse as I carry on. But, I guess It will have to do. I'm running out of ideas. Delete, delete, Error, error.Twilight walked through the large door into a dark, long corridor. The faint sound of trickling water sounded in the distance. She gulped, and took a step. At that moment, a sound of a rock hitting the floor echoed through. Twilight gasped and held her breath. She waited about five seconds until exhaling deeply. She closed her eyes and took two more steps. Quiet. Turing on the lantern, she followed the circle of light in front of her. Dirty windows were aligned along the corridor, casting small pools of dim moonlight on the carpeted floor. A sickening noise that sounded like giant spiders crawling sent shiver's up Twilight's spine. A staticky buzzing noise filled her ears. It came from her saddlebag. She turned and levitated a black rectangle out of a pocket. "Hmmm...I didn't see that! What is this...? I think it's a radio..." She muttered to herself as she observed the object. It sounded like a village of wasps were living inside of it. She tapped it with her hoof and the buzzing stopped. A mare's voice came from the radio, it sounded like Pinkie Pie. "Hello...if you're Twilight Sparkle, you are in terrible danger. I hunt know if you remember me...this is Pinkemena Diane Pie...d...d...DELETE! Sorry...listen, you have to get out of here! Rainbow Dash...she...ACK!!! D...delete!! ERRORRRrrrr!!! D...d...error...delete...killed....Applejack!! They're all dead! Reach the green door at the end of the castle....you'll be safe there...Rainbow....RAINBOW DASH!! NOOOO-" Twilight stared at the recorder with wide eyes. What happened to Pinkie? What did Rainbow Dash do? Hear heart began to beat faster than ever, and she dropped the recorder to the floor, gasping for breath. The recorder smashed into two pieces. Twilight had never been so terrified in her life. Her friends...they were all gone. She bent down to examine the pieces until she realized that something fell out. It was a wadded up paper, it looked like it had been there for years. Twilight picked it up and flattened it out, and read the words. "Self defense for the average unicorn, level one.Sometimes, a unicorn (when handling a lot of stress) can experience a nightmare unlike any other. He or she will think that it is real, but they are either in a comatose or a power sleep. The dream can last up to three days, maybe more. A unicorn may bring a Pegasus with him or her if there is physical contact between the ponies. To escape this nightmare, the unicorn (mature or foal) must complete a number of puzzles throughout the world. There is a spell to get out, but it is only for the highest level unicorns. The only unicorns in pony kind to achieve this spell are Starswirl the Bearded, and the others who were successful did not live to tell the tale. She was only in a nightmare? But it all seemed so real! She had to try the spell. She had to get out.Twilight read the instructions to do the spell put loud, and one of the steps was "think a happy thought or memory". What about the time when...Rainbow Dash saved Rarity from plummeting to her doom? No...no...the time where she became Princess Celestia's private student! Or...when she defeated King Sombra to save the Crystal Empire? She bent her head and concentrated. Beads of sweat poured down her face as her horn began to spark. Twilight grit her teeth and struggled harder than she ever had in her life. Suddenly, she disappeared in a ball of sparks and light. Once again, she was on the floor. She was...in the school house? In Ponyville! Everything seemed bright and cheerful. Twilight stepped out of the school to go see her friends, but what she did see almost made her want to vomit. She was back in the castle. Except this time, it was completely lit up, so that she could see everything. Dried up corpses of ponies hung from the walls. A picture of a heart was drawn in blood on the carpet in front of her. Under the heart, spelt the words "I sE3 y0u." Twilight pulled out her lantern again, surrounding it in a magenta glow to make sure it didn't fall. The spell didn't work at all! She had just used a teleporting spell. "God dammit!" She whispered to herself. Twilight wanted to go back into the school house, where it was bright. She galloped to the room and shut the door behind her. She turned off the lantern and stuffed it into her bag. She was going to live here if she had to. Everything seemed normal Cheerilee's desk had the same amount of cards and apples from her students, the desks were all aligned properly, (Scootaloo's being the one with paper sticking out everywhere) and there was even the black board, which she expected to have scratches or blood on it. Everything seemed normal. Twilight walked over to Scootaloo's desk, smiling of the memories of the orange filly. Suddenly, something caught her eye. It was a certain piece of paper sticking out from the desk. "Look...in...the...desks." Read Twilight. She wondered if it was a message from the real Scootaloo. She opened up the first desk, to find another bottle of pepto bismol. She stuffed that into her bag and went to the next one. Inside that was more oil, so she took that. But inside the next one was a peculiar shape...a pony! It was Sweetie Belle! The white filly's chest rose and fell. She was alive! "Sweetie belle...sweetie! Hey!" Twilight shook her awake. The unicorn stirred and looked up at her. "Twilight...? What happened?" She asked. Yikes, her voice sounded awful. Sweetie belle must have been miserable. Twilight stroked her mane to calm her down. "Where are Apple Bloom and Scootaloo? Why am I in a school desk?" "Ssh. We'll find them. You are in a dream, but I'll protect you. Tell me, were you and your friends having a sleepover?" "Yeah. I only remember us being all snuggled up before we went to sleep." "Okay. That was all I needed to know." But at that moment, Twilight realized how much her friends must be trying to wake her up. She choked back tears and whispered, "I'll be back soon." Prologue"Ugghhhh..." Twilight moaned as she groggily lifted her head off the ground. The cold and hard feeling under her hooves proved that she was lying on a tile floor. Everything from the tip of her horn to the bottom of her back hooves was numb with pain. Her originally lavender coat was now a sickening beige. Twilight tried to speak, but no words came out. She looked around, after her eyes had adjusted to the dim, hazy light. She couldn't tell where she was, nor how she got here. All twilight knew was that she wasn't home. "Spike!" She cried. Her throat was sore something awful, so her voice sounded like some kind of dying animal. Twilight almost expected the little purple dragon to come trotting over, with a paper and quill in his claws, but he didn't. She could just feel tears welling up in the corners of her eyes, even though she probably had no reason. "Where is everypony?" She called out loud. Her voice echoed through the large room for almost three seconds. Her legs wobbled as she struggled herself up. They shook like a leaf in the fall, but she was able to stand up. Twilight took a couple of steps before she realized that she had no idea where she was going. She sighed, but concentrated hard as her horn glowed a soft purple. A small circle of light appeared in front of her, lighting up the room slightly. A table sat in front of her, so she walked to it and stared at the items on it. Something that looked like a lantern with a bottle of oil next to it, and a saddle bag. A small lump was inside the bag, so she reached inside and pulled out a bottle of pink liquid. "Pepto Bismol?" She wondered. Shrugging, she popped on the saddle bag and slipped the bismol inside. Twilight picked up the lantern in her mouth and poured in the oil. It lit up instantly, and she began walking. She grimaced as rats and roaches skittered across her hooves as she walked. Wet moss and mold squished under her hooves, and water splashed all over the place. As she approached a door, she asked herself if it was smart to go through into the next room. Who knew what would be waiting behind there? Twilight mouthed the word "monsters..." to herself. Finally, without thinking, she pushed the door open and wandered in. Whatever was about to happen, she knew it wouldn't be good. Author's Note Just so you know, this is not a crossover of Amnesia. This is simply a story that was inspired from horror movies and games sort of mixed into one. Hopefully you enjoy this as I continue.
