The mysterious stallion Vivo Allegro shows up in the middle of the night. He's not sure how he got here, but he knows from experience he's likely burned all the bridges behind him. As he tries to rebuild his life in Ponyville, he hears of a doppelganger identifying himself as Andante. The all too familiar name spells only disaster for Allegro.
