"But, she cant just do that. Why does she need help," Cloud opened the blimps door and let everyone out. Lemon went to bed. She got up to see the sun at peek. "Dear Celestia, I, Lemon....ade Twist, promise to try and give Princess Skylar all of my help. Filly promise!" Lemon said to the sky and climbed back on her bed. She woke up and got out of bed. Her mom dressed her up for a party at her moms friends house. When they all got there, Lemon saw other fillies playing ball. They looked at Lemon and waved. "Hi, Lemon" one said. It was her friend, Stylish Lace and Lace's friend. Lemon walked over to them and smiled,"Hey girls. Did you see what happened at the Summer Sun Celebration?" they looked away and did not answer. Stylish Lace said softly,"my ma said we can't talk about that...its bad." Lemon nodded and asked,"Who's she?" Lemon looked at her as the young filly smiled. She held her head high and said,"I'm Poetic Rainbow! The most Poetic Filly yah ever seen!" Lace sighed. "she's from the apple farm, her parents are Scootalo and Johnny apple." She continued," Well, my grandmare is the legendary Rainbow Dash! Oh and my grandpa is Soarin." Lemon picked up the ball and hit it straight into the air," If I become a Princess, im gonna open a ton of lemonade stand stores called, "Lemonade Promenade!" Lace sighed and said," we'll never be princesses! I just know it. I wished my heart out when I was 5 and I never got my wings!" Lemon tucked her head down and said softly,"You guys have a horn and I have nothing. It sucks to be me!" Lace pushed Lemon and said,"hey, cheer up! I mean, your grandmare is Pinkie Pie, the happiest pony in Equestria! You gotta be like her!"Lemon put a fake smile on her face and remembered her grandmares bad side. She thought that if her grandmare has one, She had to have one. Lemon picked at a scab she got when her father dragged her in the blimp 1 year ago. "what happened? I need to find grandma,"Lemon said. She took Laces hoof and ran like wind. Lace Screamed, "Whats going on!" they stopped. Lemon explained,"I wanna know more about what happened!" "Well, I don't! You can go on your own, okay," Lace screamed. "Okay,"Lemon screamed back. She ran to ponyville and found sugar cube corner.

The prince had fallen on stage and- oh, yes, a very sad tragedy, yes?" Pinkie said smoothly and hugged her granddaughter."Did you here, young lady? They are having tryouts for someone, some..special filly to help the princess on the 3rd in Canterlot!" Lemon smiled and then stood quietly. "How would a dumb filly like me get in a Canterlot contest? I live in Fillidelphia! I'm no good for that," Lemon responded. Pinkie held her Grandfilly and said,"you remind me of a friend. A friend who would help everyone even if she was different or didn't understand much. She would always come to sugar cube corner to get the finest muffins and bring them home for her 2 fillies. Her name was Derpy. She had passed a couple years before you were born. I'm sure if she knew you...she would love you!" Lemon smiled and said,"Thanks, Grammy." She kissed Pinkie on the cheek and waved bye. "Wait! Take some cupcakes for you and your parents," Pinkie screamed. She handed Lemon a dozen cupcakes with lemons and a crown on top. Lemon smiled and took down an extra saddlebag off the coat rack. She fit the cupcake box in the saddlebag and pinkie put a little bag in the other side. "Open it when you get home," Pinkie said. She nodded and ran back to her house. When she got there, she set the cupcakes on the table and headed to her room. Ever since Princess Twilight had begun her duties, she had advised everyfilly and everycolt to write a letter to the royals every week. So Lemon sat at her desk. Dear Skyla, I feel very bad for what happened to your father. I hope your okay.Anyway, this week I learned that everyone can learn things from their elders. Pinkie Pie said, in a way, that everypony helps, even if they are different and can't do some things. Love, Lemonade Twist she grabbed an envelope and sealed the letter in it. Then, she went to the mailbox and put it in and lifted the flag. She went inside, waiting for her parents to come back. While she waited, she opened the box and took out a cupcake. She looked at it and said,"Celestia, does Pinkie know something...or does she just try to be the best in everyponies hearts?" Lemon took a bite of the delicate cupcake that tasted like zap apples. "Wow! These are delicious," Lemon told herself as she stuffed the rest down her mouth. When her parents got home, Lemon ran to the door."Mom! Dad! Can you take me to Canterlot tomorrow? Please," Lemon begged. Diamond smiled and said,"Okay, Lemon.Cloud?" He nodded and said,"Um....Eeyup!" "Okay then, Lemon,"Diamond said carefully,"but, you must do all the work at the store with your grandma next week, ok?" Lemon nodded. She ran to her bedroom and cheered,"Thank you, Pinkie!" about 100 times. When she woke up, a letter arrived in the mail. Dear Lemonade Twist, Greetings, I liked your last letter so I decided to write you back. You are a sweet filly and I think that you deserve a chance to meet me at the Canterlot contest and I will give you something special. Love, Princess Skyla Lemon cheered again,"YAYYYYY!"she went inside and danced in her room. She stopped and looked at the saddlebag from last night. She remembered when Pinkie put something in it. Lemon dug through the saddlebag and found a tiny bag wrapped in foil. She opened it and saw a tiny note with a cupcake. The note said,"Give this to the Princess and you will win the contest, even though you don't need it!" Lemon took the saddlebag and ran to the kitchen. "Mom, im ready! Lets go," Lemon screamed. Diamond went in the kitchen and patted her shoulder. "Ok, just wait for your father, Lemon," She said. While they waited, Lemon showed her mom the cupcakes. When he got out of the room, they left the house and went on the train.
Chapter 4View OnlineLemonade TwistChapter 4"~NOW ARRIVING AT: CANTERLOT STADIUM PLEASE STAY SEATED~" Lemon was so exited that she almost screamed in the train. She waited as ponies boarded and unboarded the train and the Lemon saw the stadium and walked the path there. When they made it, a bouncer was blocking the door. "Name," He asked. "I-I-I'm Lemon Twist," she said. He laughed. "your not on the list, kid," he said. Then, the princess waved to Lemon and she smiled. Skyla walked over to the bouncer and opened the gate. "Sorry, KingFord, but she is a, 'special guest' and I didn't put her on the list," Skyla said. "Special...guest? When did this happen," Diamond said. "Your daughter sent me a letter, keeping me from crying last night because of the......incident at the Summer Sun Celebration. Someone cared about me and I was happy, so I made her my special guest, but if she is competing, she still has competition," Skyla said. Lemon nodded and ran to the field. When she reached the stage, a colt a bit taller than Lemon had been in line. "Are you nervous," he asked. She looked at him and said,"sorta....are you?" He laughed and said,"Third Star? grandson of the great and powerful Trixie? Nervous? Nope, but i'm not gonna brag." Lemon nodded and looked around. "Hey, have you seen a filly named Starlight Beats? I mean, a filly that looks like this? He handed me a picture of a filly with a grey-red coat and a dark grey-red mane. She had a record cutie mark and turquoise eyes. "No I haven't seen her. Is she your sister," Lemon said. He shook his head. "no, but I sorta.....like her," he said softly. Lemon looked around again and smiled. She said,"There she is!" she pointed to the girl and looked at Star. He ran out of line and to her. They called the next person in line and Lemon went on stage. "um, im Lemonade Twist, 11 years old, or 4017 days old. I am-" "young lady, are you a......earth pony," one judge asked. "um, yes but I-" "what will you be demonstrating," another asked. "Please let me speak!" all the judges gasped,"I'm sorry....I will show you...this!" Lemon pulled out the cupcake. It had rainbow frosting, chocolate and vanilla mix and crown sprinkles with rainbow glitter. She also pulled out a note. It read,"This cupcake is from my Grammy, Pinkie Pie, the happiest pony in all Equestria," The judges smiled and wrote in their notebooks. Lemon continued,"she helped me as a young Filly and now she helps me with my letters for Princess Skyla. This is for you princess," she handed the princess the cupcake and she smiled,"now, my parents say that she might not stay around forever because she has diabetes and is now feeling well." Lemon thanked the judges for listening and walked off stage. Lemon heard them talking and one said,"that is an amazing story but, didn't Pinkie Pie pass last night?" Another judge said,"yeah, I heard that on the news last night." Lemon covered her mouth. She ran back to her mom and started to cry. She screamed "mommy! Why!" She looked at her daughter,"did they not like you, sweetie? Its okay.." Lemon hugged her moms leg even tighter and said,"Grammy passed away last night! Why didn't you tell me!" Diamond hugged her daughter and said in a comforting voice,"I know its hard...she was my mother, honey..its very hard to get over but its ok.." they went to the train station and Lemon was still crying.

Lemon said with breaks "Tonight im im gonna send a letter to Pri-Princ-Princess Skyla, ok mom?" Diamond Smiled and nodded. Lemon ran home and sat at her desk. Dear Princess Skyla, At the contest, I figured out that my grandma was in the hospital. My parents said that we will see her tomorrow at the time of the contest so please excuse me from the contest. Love, Lemon Twist she sealed the letter and put it in the mail. She tucked herself in bed and prayed to Celestia that she would still be in the contest. When they arrived at the hospital the man looked at Lemon and noticed her. "Miss, shouldn't you be at the contest today," He asked Lemon. She looked at him and said,"how do you know about me in the contest?" He smiled,"you were on the news last night! They said that you were the most courageous filly in Equestria! Congratulations, kid! By the way, i'm Tuxedo Masquerade. Nice to meet you kid." Lemon smiled and looked around. "Do you know where the Pie room is? She is my Gra-" He nodded and pointed to the hall. "Pinkie's room is right down there," He said. Tux got out of the back of the desk and led her to Pinkie's room. Lemon opened the door to her grandmothers room and saw a woman. She had a sky blue coat and a white/yellow mane. She looked at Lemon and smiled. "Hi, little filly, are you here to see Pinkie," she said to her in a comforting voice. Lemon smiled. She responded,"Y-Yes, she is my Grammy.The blue unicorn walked over to lemon. "I am her neighbor, Sunbeam," she said. They walked over to pinkie as she smiled. Pinkie looked at Lemon and her smile widened. "hello, dear. Have you met my friend, sunbeam," She asked. Lemon nodded. Pinkie said slowly,"she will be taking over SugarCube corner for me, okay?" Lemon was stunned "What about you," Lemon responded. She nodded at Sunbeam and she said," your grandma will be in the hospital while im taking care of the shop, Lemon." Lemon sighed then nodded. Sunbeam walked out of the room taking a saddlebag with her. Pinkie laughed at her grandfilly. "How are you doing, Lemon? WAIT! Are you missing the competition right now??" Pinkie screamed at her. She looked down and didn't respond. Pinkie mumbled and turned on the television. "Now, the contest of best filly/colt is going on right now,the princess is taking her seat and everyone is ready." Lemon looked at the T.V. and watched. She kept watching and saw Sunbeam on screen! She walked over to the princess and whispered something in her ear and put a letter in her hooves. The princess smiled and read the note carefully, they nodded and Sunbeam smiled at the camera. Lemon was confused, until the princess walked on stage and cleared her throat. "Um, hello everypony. you know,our remaining contestants, Flare rider, Third Star, Starlight Beats, Lemonade Twist, Chatter Box, and Cottonswirl. Today, Lemonade Twist has not showed up,"everypony gasped,"yes, I know, well, why she left is because she left to go to her grandmare, Pinkie Pie. Her friend, Sunbeam had given me information about this and so did Lemon herself. But, I will give her one chance. She is the true element of trust." the all mumbled at the thought but then looked at the princess. Everypony cheered! She smiled, bowed, and walked to her chair. Everyfilly gathered on stage and preformed. Pinkie turned off the T.V. Lemon looked at her grandmare.
Chapter 6View OnlineLemonade TwistChapter 6"Dear, its time for my nap, please, let me sleep," Pinkie said clearly. Lemon walked out of the room, smiling and jumping when she got to SugarCube corner, she saw Sunbeam eating a cupcake and hugged her hoof. "Oh thank you! Thank you! What can I ever do to repay you?" Lemon screamed. She pointed at a sign. It read,"HELP WANTED" and she looked at Lemon, with a cupcake grin. Lemon giggled. "Okay,I'll help. But after the contest is over ok?" She smiled, nodded, then swallowed. "Thanks, Lemon." She said, hugging her back. Sunbeam took Lemon to the Carousel Boutique and screamed out for Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle ran out from the back with patterns and patterns of dresses stuck in her mane. "Welcome to the Carousel Bouti-" she said. Then, Opalescence clawed her hoof and she screamed. Lemon covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. SunBeam chuckled and said,"Ah, Sweetie Belle, where is-" a tiny filly about lemons hight appeared out of a closet. "Oh! Hello," she said as she tripped over a pile of dresses. Lemon gigged even more as the tiny filly approached her with a proud hoofshake. "My mom didn't tell me a filly was coming over," She said looking at Sweetie Belle with her narrow eyes. Sweetie Belle responded,"Your mother didn't either! Sunbeam?" Sunbeam laughed and pushed Lemon against the filly "Lemon, this is Sweetie Belle's Daughter, Crayon Dresses," She said. Lemon smiled at Crayon as she showed Lemon her cutie mark. It was a smiling sun with a crayon drawing it. Lemon awed in its glory. As she, was a blank flank. Lemon helped her with the mess that filled the Boutique. "Ok, Lemon, we have to bring you home." SunBeam said after the Boutique was as clean as a dish fresh from the washer. Lemon nodded and waved bye to Crayon and they left. SunBeam pushed Lemon into the blimp and they flew away. As Lemon looked down she saw a colt sitting by a bench. "Uh, SunBeam, can we go down?" Lemon asked nicely. She nodded than pulled a rope and they went down in the atmosphere. Lemon approached the colt in the slowest way possible, and he looked at her with a mad face. She made a sheepish smile and sat by him "Hi..Im Lemo-" he looked away. Lemon stood infront of him and said,"Whats wrong?" He started to cry. She sat by him again and put her hoof on his and said,"Its going to be ok...now, whats wrong?" "I-my-parents-"He struggled to continue. "Its ok! You can come to Canterlot with me and SunBeam.....uh....if you want.."she said. He looked at her with tears in his eyes but warmth at his heart. He hugged her tight and nodded. They all boarded the blimp again and left for Canterlot. When they got there, SunBeam waved goodbye and went to Sugar Cube Corner. Lemon walked the colt to her home."Hey, whats your name, since I'm going to live with you and all.." he whispered something real soft."excuse me?" she whispered back. He cleared his throat," I am Loner....Loner Joe."She smiled and walked on the porch. "Its dark out. Lest go inside." she said kindly. He nodded and she held the door open for him. They walked inside and Diamond looked at her daughters friend and gave her the, "Who's this" face. Lemon smiled and said, "His name is Joe, he was all alone so I brought him here." "Well, if he is ready for school tommorow then he could stay!" Lemon nodded and they went to her room. She turned on the lights, revealing a room, filled with posters from Pony Time, Katy Marey, Pewdiecolt, and a calendar on timberwolves. He blinked twice and walked in the brightly colored room. Lemon ran to her closet and set up a tent and 2 sleeping bags. She crawled in and patted the sleeping bag next to her. He crawled in and yawned. She poked his head and pointed to a book, then started to read. "one day, Junebug and her friends decided to have a picnic together............"
Chapter 7View OnlineLemonade TwistChapter 7"The end." She said softly. When she looked to her side, the colt was deep in the sleeping bag and was probably in a coma. So Lemon yawned and crawled into her bed, happy, with her new room mate. When she woke up, he was still sleeping with a big grin on his face. Lemon sat in front of him, constantly saying his name, "Joe....JOE! Ugh......JOOEEEE!!!!!!" he snapped and hit his head on the side of the tent. "AH! Wha- Oh, hi Lemo!" She smiled and remembered when she tried to tell him her name. "Its Lemon, Doofus! Come on! We are going to be late for school!" she said. He climbed out of the tent and sat on her bed. Lemon trotted over to her closet and tried to get her saddlebag off the hook. "let me help you," he said and trotted over to the closet. She watched as he stood on his hind legs and pulled it off with his teeth. "You are very tall! Thanks, by the way...you are lucky. you can be tall and...well...uh..." Lemon stuttered,"your'e you, and im just a nopony." Lemon put on her saddlebag and looked for her fedora. He frowned. "ey, you can do anything you put your mind to!" He said, kindly He smiled and looked at a picture on her shelf. It was a class picture. A line of colorful, enchanting ponies, smiling so there mothers do not yell at them. The only one who wasn't smiling was a filly sitting in front of the bundle. Her mane was black and her coat was grey. She was almost acting as the center of attention in this photo. Joe stared at the photo as if she was calling him. "Hey. Hey. HEY! DUDE!" she waved her hoof in front of his face and he still didn't stop staring. "Who is this?" He finally said. Lemon giggled. "Plume? Why, she moved from Canterlot a while back! I don't know where she is now." Lemon responded. He awoke from his dreams and they got going. Boarding the blimp, the 2 ponies played until they got to the competition. Lemon let Joe stay with her because he would be trampled if he went to school alone. When Lemon boarded stage, she said,"Hi! Its me, Lemon. I was gone yesterday. Uh, well, sorry about that! I would like to introduce my friend, Joe!" everyone clapped and watched as Lemon forced Joe to walk on stage. "He-Hello! Im Joe, uh, nothing really to say," Lemon hit his hoof and nodded,"Oh! Oh ok, uh last night my friend brought me to her house in the time of need." The judges were writing down his every words,"At first I thought she was going to betray me like my parents but, she actually helped me." The buzzer went off so they walked off stage and Lemon started to speak. "Woah, dude! That was amazing! You really feel that way about me? Man, to me, your my hero and im your hero! I guess we can help each other in different situations! Tonight, my famil- i mean, our family will be going to my friend Lace's house for dinner. Wanna come? You can stay home if you want.." He nodded and agreed. "I will come with you! I'd love to meet your friends!" So it was agreed. They were to go to the Lace home together as a family. They got there and this time, 3 other Fillies were there. Lemon knew these ones though. The 2 sisters, Sugar Heart and Love Dancer. Then, one of her actual friends, SpringKiss. "Don't be fooled by there looks, on the inside, they are the definition of Rich Slobs." Lemon whispered into his ear. He nodded and gave them a fierce look. When they saw Lemon and Joe, they laughed at them and Spring ran over to them. "hi, Lemon.....I saw what happened at the competition. Why did you do that? Did you pay him more bits to hang out with you?" Lemon was shocked! Her kindest friend just said something bad about her? Lemon was about to tell her the truth, but she just ran away from everyone and hid in the bathroom. In her thoughts, running through her mind, where images, images from a younger childhood. She had no talents, no friends, and no help at all. Everyone call's her Lemon because of the way she is. A wimp, coward, loser, all those things. The door opened. It was Joe. He sat on the bathroom carpet with her as she cried. "What did they say? Did they call you names? You shouldn't listen to them. They seem like-" "Please don't say that! Spring is my best friend ! I'm sure she didn't mean it," she cut him off. He walked Lemon out of the bathroom and she put a fake smile on to make him smile back. She walked up to Spring. "Uh, Spring? Why did you say that about me? I thought we were friends..." she flipped her mane and didn't even look at her."What happen between us" she whispered in her ear. Spring looked at lemon and said,"We don't need you anymore."
Chapter 8View OnlineLemonade TwistChapter 8Lemon stuttered,"Wha-What do you mean?!?"She didn't look back. Loner wrapped his hoof around her neck. ( "I DON'T NEED ANY HELP!" Lemon screamed and ran to the blimp........She whispered,"Why....all my friends.......gone.......even...Spring....." She looked down. Wet stains appeared from her eyes and fell to the ground in a heartbeat. She was crying. Joe ran over to her and sat down. She thought, "this can't get any worse!" "Come on, Lemon. Did we just talk about this? I told you. People change, Lemon.....Lemon?" he finished. She was staring at the train station. A pony was standing there, looking back at her. They looked at each other and Lemon waited, she waited for a train to go by to see this mysterious Pony. Finally, a red train passed, showing the colors of the mare. She had a yellow coat and a fluffy pink mane that rested on her side. "Hi........" Lemon said. She looked back. Lemon saw a tiny smile on her face as she walked over. Joe sat there, stuttering. "yo-y-you! Your Flutehswey...." She covered his mouth and made a shushing sound, then nodded. She whispered her story, "I was a friend of your grandmas, Lemon. I come to give you unfortunate news......angel has lost his tail!!!" Fluttershy started sobbing and so they helped her stop, then she paused. "also, I am very sorry to tell you this, but, Pinkie died last night.....she didn't tell you but....she caught pythuim indisidiosum." Joe looked at her with his head tilted. She sighed, "A deadly skin infection...." he nodded and they looked at Lemon. More tears dropped to the ground, but these came faster and they ran down her muzzle. She ran, ran all the way to the hospital. When she got there, The stallion was still at the counter and he looked at her with a, "are you ok, kid?" face. She walked in and looked around. "The....the....Pie residence???" she said, slowly. All he did was shake his head and hide his face. She walked to a room and saw an empty bed. It was her old room. "Grandmare........" Lemon cried...... When Fluttershy and Joe got to the hospital, they found Lemon talking to Tuxedo and she looked pretty upset. They waited for her in the lounge. Lemon was walking away from Tux as a girl walked into her and they bumped heads. Lemon looked up. The filly was tall, and she looked as if she was made from ice and water. "Hello! Uhh, sorry we had to meet this way, here," The strange filly grabbed an ice pack and placed it on her head. ", im Icey, by the way. Nice to meet you!" She waited for her to answer. "Its ok if you don't like me.....not alot of ponies like me..." Lemon shook her head "oh, no. Everyone has tried to be nice to me after my grandmare came to the hospital. I thought you were one of those people." Lemon said. Icey laughed and looked in the lounge. "Why are you here?" she asked. "My......my Grandmare died.." Lemon said softly. Icey gasped and hugged her. "I hope your ok...." She said. Lemon smiled and they walked to the lounge. "hi Lemon! Are you ok?? Who is she?" Joe said quickly while pointing to them. Icey hid her face cause she was scared. "this is Icey. She helped me with everything." She said. Joe looked mad. "Did I help!?!?" He said, panicking. Lemon nodded and he sat still with a grin. "Well, im ready now. She loved to see everypony happy, not sad. I want to listen to her." everypony nodded.
Chapter 9View OnlineLemonade TwistChapter 9"Where are your parents, Lemon?" Fluttershy asked. They all laughed. When Fluttershy brought them home, Icey waved goodbye and so did Lemon. When they got inside, no pony was home. So Lemon set up a gaming console in her room and they played Adventure ponies all night. When Lemon woke up, she saw that Joe was gone and so she was forced to get her saddlebag off the hook. It wasn't there either. So she sighed and trotted to the kitchen. She there saw her saddlebag on the edge of a stool and Joe was covered in icing. She laughed and he pulled out a baking tray from the oven. It held a dozen chocolate cupcakes dyed yellow with orange icing. On each one it said," Thank you, Lemon." Joe smiled at his perfection then put one in her saddlebag. "by the way, who was your grandmare?" Joe asked. Lemon smiled and bit into a cupcake. "shewasthefunniestponyinponyville," she swallowed," where are you from?" He shook his head, "I don't remember.....I think my mom and dad just left me a note......I don't like em' anyway." Lemon nodded. She got up and made some tea. "Well, first day of school! The contest was canceled this week cause of it!" Lemon told him. She took the piping hot water off the stove and into wooden mugs. She dipped the bags into the mugs and set them on the table. She passed a mug to Joe and he sipped it, when he set it down, his face turned into a pucker face. Lemon giggled. She sipped some of her tea and set it down. "How do you drink that without......Dying?!!?!" He asked. She just shrugged and sipped more. He emptied his mug and filled it with cider. "we should get going! I mean, its 7:00! I gotta go!" Over it, was a flying course. The same filly in the picture was flying above the school. Joe stared, hearts in her eyes. Lemon just tugged on his hoof and yelled. The school looked as if it was as big as equestria! Or a collage......Lemon showed Joe the, fountains, classes, parks, lunch rooms, cubbys, lockers, students, teachers and last of all, Cherry Soda... "wait, who?" Joe said. "umm, NO ONE!! DONT TELL, PLEASE!!!" She begged. He looked at her with a grin and nodded in agreement. Lemon kept looking at him, and he just walked, out of no where, a pony hit Lemon and he dropped all his books. "I am so so so sorry!" she screamed. She picked up the books and greeted the pony. "I'm Lemon, I hope we never do anything like this again!" the colt nodded and took his books. He had a blue and red mane. he walked away and then looked back. "I-I'm Josiah, by the way!" he said while waving. She looked at him and smiled. When she finally caught up with Joe, she was sitting in Magic class. There teacher was one of the most talented in the school, Carbon Monoxide. "Now, everypony please take out you books, we are going to start learning on the novice stage. Everypony ready?" all the fillies and colts took out their textbooks and waited. She wrote on the chalkboard and Lemon looked at Joe. She reached into her desk and wrote on a note. She passed it to the filly next to her and pointed to Joe. She nodded, and as quick as a cheetah, she passed it through the whole class to Joe. He read," Hey, are you bored? :3" Lemon waved and smiled. He wrote on the paper and gave it to another colt. Again, it was passed around. "Yes, why?" she read to herself. Monoxide looked at the class to see if they were paying attention. Lemon hid the note and smiled sheepishly. She glanced at her and went back to the board. Lemon quickly wrote and passed the note again. "Well, wanna play hangstallion?" "sure!" By the end of class, Lemon and Joe were cracking up and having fun. They went to all classes and by the end of the day, they were waiting by the food mart for Lemons mom. "Hey guys, you have fun today?" Diamond said when she saw them. Lemon nodded and her mom giggled. She saw the colt from the incident in the hallway. "HIII!!! REMEMBER ME!!!" Lemon screamed while waving to him. He looked at her an smiled. When he ran over, they introduced themselves. "hey, uhh.....sorry, but I guess I forgot your name..." he said. She smiled. "its lemon, and yours was.....Josiah, right?" she replied. He nodded. "wanna come to my house, we have lots of video games!" She said and he replied with a nod. They all walked home, Lemon promised when they got there, they will all watch a movie. Everyone nodded in agreement and they got ice cream.

Its Friday, Grandma is coming over." Lemon froze. She remembered when grandma came over last week. It was all hugs and kisses. "But....I.....was going to have fun today.....with my friends..." "We all were, Lemon." He continued and she smiled. "grandmare doesn't want us to have fun? Then I wont be happy when she gets here. Then she will be a sad grandmare. She doesn't want to be sad, does she?" Cloud sighed and shook his head. She giggled. "Lemon? What are you going to do?" He said while she pulled out a cannon from the closet. "Grandmares old party cannon makes an entrance! Yay!" Clouds face was blank and then Lemon shot at the ceiling and the floors. Almost every part of their cottage was covered in party supplies. Streamers, glitter, banners, confetti, everything lemon could find for the cannonballs. Cloud just kept washing the dishes. Diamond walked in, noticing the giant mess Lemon had made. She looked at Cloud and smiled. "Family pictures are today at noon, guys! We must get ready after grandma comes over!" Everypony nodded. They got ready and waited for the golden Pegasus to enter the cottage. And greeted her with joy when she came in. The next day, Cloud got a letter. "Dear Cloud, We sent you this letter to inform you that the pegisai and earth war has begun. Please remain calm and return to Cloudsdale to begin war. From, General Lenette When Cloud showed this to Diamond, she told him it was ok. But it wasn't. This meant that the Twist family was to split up. She hugged him and cried. He cried too, but didn't show it. When Lemon walked in, she saw her mom crying. "whats wrong? Did.....something bad happen?" Cloud went to his room to start packing. "wait! Cloud!" Diamond said running after him. Lemons heart was beating out of her chest, faster then the day Pinkie died. She ran after them. Cloud was putting clothes in a luggage carrier. She pushed it away. "Y-You dont have to do this! Cloud! Remember the promise you gave our Lemon!" He remembered when Lemon was only a newborn foal. He loved her and wouldn't spend a day without her. One morning, he saw Lemon sleeping. She was covered by a tiny yellow blanket and she was sucking on an orange pacifier. He picked her up, and sat her down next to a bottle. "Lemon, you have to drink your milk, its not good for you if you don't. Come on Lemon." she giggled and crawled into the kitchen. When she got there she started to cry. She waited for her father to come to the kitchen. He sighed and lifted her up to the counter. "Lemon, please don't drink more lemonade..." Lemon giggled again and waited for him to get some down. Again, he sighed and gave it to her. All she did was sit there, waiting....he was confused. Lemon wanted the lemonade, but didn't drink it. AH! he trotted back to the bottle and filled it with lemonade instead. She laughed and drank it. Her coat was shinier and so was her mane. Even if she only had it tied up, it flowed. He looked at her, she was precious. "Lemon. If only you could talk......I want to promise you something....." he said. She was confused. He never used long words, "Lemon, I promise on Celestias wings, I will never leave you. You will always have my name. And me." She got back on all fours and walked to his face. She licked him. "AH! No, no no no...." He pushed her away and she climbed on his head. After that, they were still happy even when Diamond found them trashing the cottage with lemonade. "Do you, cloud??" she said. He nodded and kept packing. Joe walked in and looked at them. "whats going on??" he said. They looked back at him. Lemon walked outside. He followed her. "Lemon, whats going on?" she kept walking and sat on the porch. He sat with her. "when will this week end?" She said. "tomorrow, actually. What happened? Is it bad?" he hesitated. "no....my dad is moving....there will be a war, that's why im mad..." "Everypony should just, keep their hooves to themselves. Thank Celestia we are both earth ponies....but....all those kids in our school....your friend...." She nodded and started to cry. "Everypony....I....need to talk to princess Cadence!" she started looking around for her saddlebag and some old notes. Joe followed. "wait, why are we going to Cadence again?" he asked. "because, if I win the contest, I can get wings, and...I can see my dad.....in cloudsdale...." Lemon snapped out of her memories and remembered her enemies. Flare rider, Third Star, Starlight Beats, Chatter Box, and Cottonswirl. "Ok, lets go!" They ran like the wind.

"We need you to stop the war. My dad and my mom would be split! I-I can't stand to see that happen.." "Lemon......we.......can't..." "Wa? What do you mean we cant?" "Lemon.......The earth ponies filed a complaint about the Pegasus destroying the old apple farm. Why don't you talk to Rainbow Dash about this, and also clear it up with Apple Jack? Then we can try to stop this war." Lemon nodded and looked at Joe. He sighed and walked to the blimp. She and Joe waved bye and went to Ponyville for a quick visit to the Apple Farm. "Didn't Celestia say they destroied the Apple farm?" Joe looked at Lemon. "Ok, smartypants, where would Applejack be?" Lemon said sarcastically. "At the apple farm....." He said. She nodded, and they continued on hoof. When the got there, a mare with a yellow coat and a pinkish red mane ran from the farm. "WELL, I NEVER LIKED YOU ANYWAY, Apple Smack!!" she was crying. A mare with an orange coat and yellowish grey hair ran to the front gate. "YOU'LL COME BACK TO THE FARM! I KNOW IT, SUGARCUBE!" She screamed back. The mare saw the scared little ponies in the field. "Sorry if we scared ya'll. Need somethin'?" Lemon stood up proudly "We need to stop the war, please. Just.....umm....do you have a feather and a paper?" Lemon said with a sheepish grin. AppleJack stared at the two ponies and fetched some paper. "Is she going to do it? Wow, that was easy!" Joe said proudly. Lemon sat in the dirt and started to cry. Joe sat with her. "A-Are you ok?" Lemon whispered something he couldn't hear. He leaned in closer. "H-how do you love somepony........without getting hurt?" She whispered. He opened his eyes wide. "M-me? You li-" "NO! Eww! Your like a brother to me! Im talking about...." She started to doodle in the dirt, a colt with a smile. It was Josiah. Joe sighed and started to draw Plume. "I feel that way too....." they both got up. Lemon saw AppleJack trotting back, and smashed her hoof in the drawings. She saw Lemons tears. "This must mean alot to yah, sugarcube. I'll sign it. But you have to get the speed racer herself to sign it for ya'll. Don't worry. If she ain't signing it, I'll get Fluttershy to do it for yah. Have fun, sugarcube!" AppleJack signed the paper and ran back to the farm. They were shocked! She just....signed it? "Well....one down, one to go! Lets get moving! L-lemon?" "This isn't right......" "but....she signed it! She met wonderful ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi. She didn't care much for friendship. One day her parents got a letter. Dear Twists, all Fillies and Gentle colts must meet for the Summer Sun Celebration. Please bring you Filly and meet the town of PonyVille at the town square. Please RSVP by June 6th, 20090000. ~Princess Skyla They answered the RSVP and told Lemon. "Why do I have to go, mom," Lemon said. She sighed and responded,"Princess Skyla said that all Fillies and Gentlecolts must come. Don't you wanna see it?" Lemon frowned and said,"NO! All they do is raise the sun and everyone cheers!" Diamond put a skirt over her daughters back and said, "Well, they cheer because its the first day of summer, silly. Also, its hard work to be a princess. She has to get up at sunrise and sunset to wake up all of us ponies and to put us to sleep. Don't you think thats important, Lemon?" she shook her head and ran to the porch. She saw a glimpse of fire at the horizon. It was the sunrise. "wow...I-I-" she stuttered. Diamond picked Lemon up and put her on the path. Her father came out of the cabin and in the blimp with his family. When they got to ponyville, they stood in the very back of the crowd. "Mom, can I go in the front," Lemon asked. Diamond chuckled and pushed her front. Lemon ran to the front of the stage as Princess Skyla approached. "Hello, ponies of Equestria and welcome to the annual Summer sun Celebration. As you all know, my mother, Princess Cadence has risen the sun and so has Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight Sparkle. I am here for the first time after Princess Twilight has...passed. I will raise the sun as my ancestors intended. Please welcome my father, Prince Shining Armor." everyone cheered as Lemon watched the elderly shining armor approach the stage. He cleared his throat and said,"Thank you everypony for coming. My daughter wouldn't be here if it weren't for me and the guards helping her, and teaching her how to raise the sun and raise the moon. Its been an honor being in equestria, but I must meet Celestia in the sky someday, correct?" Lemon was confused, what had he meant? Shining armor fell on the stage and everyone had gasped. Lemons mother pulled Lemon away from the stage as Lemon had the tragedy framed in her mind.
