Jeremiah 29:11

Previous Chapter

Twilight and Gang stayed behind as other ponies left.

"Are you alright, Pinkie?" Fluttershy asked.

"I…I guess so." She responded.

"Pinkie Pie! I just remembered. We're having a volleyball game Monday! Can you still play?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Pinkie Pie's main drooped. "No… I don't think so. I'm sorry, Dashie! We really were going to beat those Manticores*, But I'll still cheer, yay Griffons*."

Rainbow grimaced at her friends lack of enthusiasm.

"Well… we'd better get going, see you tomorrow, Pinkie Pie!" Twilight said.

"Um…Twilight? Could you and the others stay here tonight? I don't want to be alone." The pink mare begged.

"Ah'd love ta stay, Pinkie!" Apple Jack said, cheers if agreement rose from the others.

"Ahh…Twilight! What about me?" Spike grumbled.

"There's a guest room down the hall, Spike." Mrs. Cake said as she walked through the room carrying her twins.

"Thanks, Mrs. Cake!" Spike called.

"Pinkie, darling, can we go upstairs?" Rarity asked. Twilight levitated the injured mare up into her room.

"Can I hang out with you girls for a little bit?" A certain baby dragon asked. He got six nods.

"Pinkie Pie, I think you could use some encouragement from the Bible right now." Twilight suggested, summoning a KJV Bible.

"For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11." Twilight said. "You see, God knows what is going to happen, and he planned it to all turn out for good."

"Yeah right, Twilight! Science doesn't prove that God exists! You know that actual science books point towards evolution." Spike huffed. At the strange looks he got, he stormed off to the guest room.

"What's up with Spike?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"He needs prayer, he isn't a Christian." The princess replied. Rarity singed and the others gasped.

"Can we read another one, Twilight? That is…if it isn't to much trouble…" Fluttershy finally spoke up.

"Sure! Here's one! You all know these! 'For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world but that the world through him might be saved.' John 3:16-17. This verse speaks about how much God loves all of us." Twilight said.

They continued to read and explain verses for nearly an hour, but eventually they grew tired and went to their sleeping bags.

"Girls?" Pinkie said. A chorus of 'hm's' responded. "My favorite free was Jeremiah 29:11. I'm so glad God has a plan for me!"

"Me too, Pinkie, me too." AppleJack said as the last of the ponies drifted off to sleep.

morning

Pinkie Pie woke and grumbled as pain hit her.

"Drat! I've got to go and my ankle is sprained!" She thought to herself. She gingerly put weight on her ankle.

"Where the hay do y'all  think yer goin?" AppleJack asked, stepping in front of her friend.

"I have to go!" She squeaked in response.

"Go where?"

"AppleJack! Across the hall!" Pinkie whined. AJ turned and saw the restroom. She quickly backed away and watched Pinkie limp across the hall and shut the door.

"Wake up, Spike." Twilight gently nudged her friend awake.

"No matter what you say, I'm not listening." Spike said, stopping the mare from another religious speech. If there was one thing that Spike couldn't stand, it was religion. After all, science proved that evolution was much more likely.

"Oh Spike…"

"I said I don't want to hear it, Princess Sparkle." He said with anger in his voice.

"Let's go get breakfast." Twilight said with a sigh.

The Cakes provided a deliciously looking breakfast of cupcakes. One plate, the Cakes said, was for Spike. It had a special surprise in it.

"Oh boy!" Spike said. He nearly grabbed one, but his "sister" refrained him with magic.

"Wait till they pray." She whispered.

Spike did As he was told. The prayer seemed to take hours. Full of "thank you's, and please's, and all that other stuff. Spike didn't care as long as it ended soon.

"And thank you for giving Pinkie such wonderful friends. In your name, Amen." He ended. Spike wasted no time in eating his breakfast. A fine collection of jewels had been inserted in so that it almost seemed as though he had cupcakes with his jewels. He loved every bite of it.

"So, Twilight, what are you studying now?" Mr. Cake asked.

"Oh! I'm studying about God's promises and plans!" Twilight chirped. She was zoned out by Spike as soon as she said "God".
