Discorded Love

All was silent in Ponyville. Barely a pony stirred for it was a warm spring dawn. Suddenly two shadows streamed across the sky, a rainbow streaming from one and a lightning bolt streamed from the other. “Hay Rainbowdash, watch this!” said the light gray Pegasus as she swerved over to a cloud. She flew around the cloud at top speed, shaping it into a love heart.

  “Nice work Thunderstorm!” Rainbowdash looked very proud of her adopted daughter.

  “Hey Mum, can we go to the forest?”

  “Good Idea.” Rainbowdash and Thunderstorm swerved towards the forest near Fluttershys house.

As they landed in the forest, Thunderstorm saw some movement in one of the bushes. “Huh?” she said aloud. “Who’s there?” she added readying herself for a fight. She parted the bushes only to find a pure black pony with pitch white hair cowering behind them.

  “Um...I’m Midnight.” the strange pony murmured quietly.

  “Midnight huh? Well I’m Thunderstorm.” she held out her hoof, Midnight grabbed it and Thunderstrom helped her up. There was another rustle in a bush opposite the one Midnight was hiding in. “Oh, do you have a friend hiding in that bush?” Thunderstorm joked.

  “Uh...no” Midnight stared at the bush with wide eyes. Thunderstorm whipped around to face the rustling bush. There was a menacing laugh that could not be mistaken.

  “Discord!” Rainbowdash whispered her eyes as wide as a parasprite. Discord rose from the bush laughing.

  “Yes, Rainbowdash. I’m back!” he said narrowing his eyes. He looked over to Thunderstorm with a surprised look. “And who is this?” He asked moving closer.

  “I’m Thunderstorm.” She forced herself to hold his gaze.

  “Huh, you’re cute.” Discord said with a smile. Thunderstorm couldn’t help but blush. Discord looked away and blushed as well. He moved away, shook his head then clicked his fingers. Pink Cotton candy clouds swirled across the sky. All four looked over at Pinkiepie as she bounced behind them cheering

  “Cotton candy clouds? Hurray!”

  “Get out of here Discord!” shouted Rainbowdash scraping her hoof along the ground.

  “Oh please. Last time I was weak, but now I’m stronger. You won’t turn me into a statue this time!” Discord laughed menacingly as he slithered passed the bushes. Rainbowdash went to chase him but Thunderstorm stopped her with her wing.

  “I’ll follow him, you look after Angle bunny.”

  “Why Angle bunny?” Rainbowdash looked confused.

  “Because Discord stood on him.” Thunderstorm held back laughter as she looked at the crushed Angel bunny. She ran into the bushes where Discord had disappeared into only moments earlier. As she burst through the other side, Discord spun around in shock.

  “Oh, it’s you. I thought it was somepony more important like Rainbowdash.” he let out snort.

  “I’m just as important as my mother!” Thunderstorm gritted her teeth.

  “Mother?!” Discord was taken aback. “Who’s the father?” he thought aloud.

  “I don’t have one. I...I was adopted.” Thunderstorm let out a sad sigh.

  “Oh.” Discord had a hint of sympathy in his eyes.

  “But that doesn’t stop me from beating your flank!” Thunderstorm jumped forward. What lasted only mere moments felt like it lasted coumtless seasons. She closed her eyes hoping to hit Discord and knock him to the ground. She felt a jolt as her hoofs connected with his shoulders. They both went tumbling to the ground, but as they landed their lips locked in a kiss. Thunderstorms eyes shot open to see Discord staring at her. His eyes softened and Thunderstorm felt something rise inside her. She realised the feeling was love so she softened her gaze and then closed her eyes.

  “Thunderstorm are you ok, we heard a cra-.” Rainbowdash and Midnight came through the bushes to a shocking sight. Discords and Thunderstorms eyes shot open and Thunderstorm spun her head around.

  “M-mum?! O-ok it’s not what it looks like!” Thunderstorm said in shock.

  “What is it then?” Rainbowdash glared at her daughter in disappointment and shock.

  “Um...err...Ok it’s exactly what it looks like. But Discord and I are in love!” Thunderstorm protested.

  “She’s right. So what, we’re in love. How does this affect you?” Discord said trying to back her up. Rainbowdash raised an eyebrow.

  “Go home. Now!” Rainbowdash said through gritted teeth.

  “But Mum I-!”

  “Now!”

  “Fine! Goodbye Discord.” Thunderstorm flew off crying.

  “You know you can’t control her forever?” Discord said and with a quick glance back at the two ponies standing in the clearing, before he vanished into the forest.

  “Mum, you can’t ban me from seeing him!” Shouted Thunderstorm through her tears.

  “Yes I can! I’m your mother!” shouted Rainbowdash.

  “What’s so bad about him?” Asked Thunderstorm.

  “Don’t you know what he did? He turned Ponyville into a chaos city.” Replied Rainbowdash putting her hoof on Thunderstorms shoulder.

  “I don’t care mum. I love him and that’s it. You can’t change the way I feel.” Thunderstorm rested her head on her pillow and started to cry again.

  “Ok, you’re right.” Rainbowdash said lowering her ears.

  “What?” Thunderstorm raised her head in confusion.

  “Listen, when I was you’re age, a handsome stallion and I were in love, but my mother didn’t like him, so she pulled us apart. I don’t want the same thing happening to you.” Rainbowdash said with a sigh.

  “You mean it?”

  “Of course I do.”

  “Oh thank you mother!” Thunderstorm gave Rainbowdash a huge hug and then ran to find Discord.

  “Discord, Discord!” Thunderstorm came to a halt in front of Discord with a huge smile on her face.

  “What are you doing? You know we’re not, aloud to see each other anymore.” Discord looked around trying to spot Rainbowdash hiding in the bushes, but there was nopony there.

  “Discord listen, Rainbowdash said it was ok!” Thunderstorm's smile widened and brightened.

  “Really?” Discord's eyes went wide and he to started to smile.

  “Yeah!”

  “Oh Celestia thank you!” Discord cried aloud.

  “Now we can be together.” Thunderstorm held out her hoof. Discord grabbed it and they walked off towards Ponyville.

  "I love you." Thunderstorm looked up at her new love.

  "I love you to." Discord lent down and gave her a peck on the cheek.
