The Wolfras
Chapter 1: In Sight
On a bright summery day, Fluttershy trotted all around her cottage, feeding all her animal friends.
"Lunchtime!" She called out and in within a second, cats, mice, flamingos, ferrets, squirrels, chipmunks, ducks and bunnies flooded the cottage. Fluttershy hoofed out a big pile of food on the floor and the animals gorged on their meal greedily.
She saw Angel and three bunnies fighting over one piece of lettuce and stopped them by gently saying, “Now come on, Angel, why don’t you share the lettuce with your friends?”
Angel rudely ate the lettuce, blew a raspberry at the other bunnies and hopped off.
“Don’t worry, bunnies, you can eat Angel’s secret stash he hides when I’m not looking instead.” Fluttershy told the three bunnies as she saw the sadness in their eyes. She showed a huge stack of vegetables to them and they happily ate the whole pile, while Angel slapped his face with his paw and pulled a jealous look.
Afterwards, Fluttershy was shutting the gate of her chicken coop, when she heard a rustling sound from the edge of the Everfree Forest.
"Is-is anypony there?"color] she cried out nervously. A yip suddenly sounded.
"EEP!"the skittish yellow Pegasus squeaked and jumped so high, she landed on a cloud. She had just calmed herself down and alighted back on the ground when all of a sudden; a bright orange coloured wolf cub came out of the Forest and greeted her.
"Hi!"She said, to which Fluttershy replied, “Oh my, a wolf cub. What are you doing here?"
“My name’s Electra, I’m a Wolfra.” the cub answered.
“A Wolfra? I've never heard of those before..."
Electra was amazed. “Wow, really?” she asked. Now that’s weird. I’d have to get the others to-.”
“Oh, um, sorry to interrupt, but there are more of you?” questioned Fluttershy, beginning to worry. She wasn't sure whether this wolf was friend or foe.
“Of course, there are tons of Wolfras and it’ll be so cool to introduce us to your friends, Miss?”
“Oh- I’m Fluttershy." ” the Pegasus timidly answered. It was her standard introduction to ponies, but she was worried the Wolfra might eat her, so it would be good to keep her content.
“Great! Now where did my big sis go?”Electra mused, turning around to look.
“B-b-big sister?!” Fluttershy stuttered with fear. One part of her mind instantly thought that these Wolfras were carnivorous monsters that wanted to eat ponies.
But another part of her mind reasoned that maybe she should give the young Wolfra cub a chance.
She thought it through, and decided to follow Electra, to make sure nothing went wrong.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was speeding through the clouds, pulling off “super-extreme-aweso-mazing” tricks to impress the witnessing fillies and colts down below. They roared in applause as the blue Pegasus ended the show and flew away away.
“Well, that’s another crowd of my fans pleased. Now to get down to business.” she said to herself and started her weather patrol throughout Ponyville.
Out of nowhere, a motorbike engine sounded and out came an electric blue wolf with a puffed mane, who jumped on her motorbike so high that she was eye to eye with Dash. She landed safely back on the ground and drove off. Rainbow was stunned by this wolf’s daredevil spirit.
"Whoa! That was so cool. As a matter of fact, I could learn a few tricks from this wolf.” she exclaimed, then did a double take. "Wait...WOLF?!”
Dash was confused and tried to figure it out as she flew down to the ground. The new tomboy was a vicious creature. Why would a wolf ride on a bike and show up in town so friendly? Before Dash could go get answers, a gang of Timberwolves appeared and started to chase the Pegasus, who immediately took to the air, but was so surprisd that she couldn't get up very high. She flew for her life, but her courage and speed was beaten by the creatures. Just as they clawed at her, the blue wolf arrived on a nearby cliff, "Don’t worry, mate. I’ll take these dimwits down. Watch out!”She called out to the Pegasus, and zoomed on her four legs down the cliff to fight the Timberwolves off.
After the Timberwolves retreated, the wolf went over to Rainbow Dash and helped her up.
"Me name’s Skybolt, what’s yours?”
“Uh, Rainbow Dash.” Dash replied sheepishly.
“Cor, that’s one wicked name!” Skybolt exclaimed, before noticing the mare's expression. "Hey, what’s the matter? You look like you saw a ghost.”
“I’m not scared!" The Pegasus retorted. "I’m just a little worried you're gonna eat me.”
Skybolt howled with laughter. “As if! I’m not gonna eat an awesome pony like yourself. Besides, we Wolfras never ‘arm anyone.”
“That’s what you are?”
Skybolt replied with a simple yes and then, another, smaller wolf appeared and galloped up to her.
“Sis! I’ve been looking all over for you!”she said, with an exhausted Fluttershy trailing behind her.
“Hey, Electra. Dash, this is my little sister, Electra.”The blue wolf said, picking up the cub.
“Heh. That’s a cute little squirt ya got there. Bet ya she’s got a need for speed!”Dash grinned.
“I think the only thing I need is a rest!”gasped Fluttershy. Her Pegasus friend helped her get her bearings, and she noticed Skybolt. "Oh, Rainbow, I see you’ve met the Wolfras.”
“You kn-know them?!” Rainbow faltered.
“Oh no, I’ve only met Electra this morning and I'm just meeting, um”
“Skybolt.”The blue wolf offered.
“I’m Fluttershy... You must be Electra’s mother.”Fluttershy guessed.
“Sister.”
After an awkward pause, Electra had an idea."Hey, would you guys like to meet our friends?”she suggested. The ponies looked unsure.“Don’t worry, they’re not gonna eat you.”She reassured them.
“Sure,”replied Rainbow eagerly.
“ALL RIGHT, YOU GUYS! THE COAST IS CLEAR! COME ON OUT!”Skybolt yelled to the Forest. Then, hundreds of Wolfras flooded the area and in the front were five other Wolfras. One was coloured violet, another had a rose-coloured coat, one a neon yellow, the fourth a pink colour to it and the last with pure white fur.
“Everyone, meet my friends Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Dash, Flutter, meet my friends Misty, Diamond Rose, Vivica, Butterpup and Princess Bianca.”
“Oh, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Your Highn-.”
“Hey, girls, don’t worry about the whole ‘royal bowing thing’, just be yourselves. Besides, I hate anyone who hides their true nature.” Bianca said.
“I’m beginning to like this princess.”Dash whispered to Fluttershy.
Before anypony or anyone could say anything else, there was a loud rustling nearby,
What in Equestria is going on here? I heard a yell, loud noises and-” said Twilight Sparkle, who appeared with Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie, gasped, cutting herself off.
“Wha’ in land’s sake are those varmints doin’ in Ponyville?”Applejack asked with a stern face.
“Applejack, these are the Wolfras. They are lovable, friendly-.”
“Awesome wolves from the Everfree Forest!”Rainbow interrupted.
“Yes, but they’re wolves.” Twilight debated.
Mean, vicious, super-snarly, could- eat-a pony-in one-minute, spit-dribbling, back-biting WOLVES!”Pinkie Pie added, standing on Dash’s head and bending her neck to lock eyes with the blue Pegasus.
“Now come on, girls. Shouldn’t we show a little compassion?”Fluttershy retaliated.
“Yeah, Skybolt here saved my life from Timberwolves an hour ago!”Dash supported. No matter how hard she and Fluttershy persuaded their pony friends, they weren't sure they could convince them to give the Wolfras a chance.
“Girls, we are not the same creatures as the Timberwolves. They’re our enemies.”Princess Bianca said to the ponies.
“And we’re not from the Everfree Forest.” The Wolfra said. “You see, we’ve come from a faraway empire called Caniselia, where I and my mother, Princess Aura ruled over the land for generations. However, a few years ago, a cluster of migrating dragons attacked us. The Wolfra Gods tried to fight back with their powers, but the dragons were too strong. Eventually, they burnt the empire to a charred wasteland and for years, we Wolfras have tried to find a new home but everywhere has been filled with other animals, and though we thought we could share, the animals were too scared of us, thinking that we were monstrous beasts. Now, we have no other choice but to give up.” Princess Bianca explained. “You see, we Wolfras are wolves but have the ability to talk and show kindness and love while other wolves show hatred and evil. I understand that you don’t want us to live aside with you ponies.” She continued.
“If you don’t want us to live here, we’ll leave. Come on guys, let’s go."The princess called out to her subjects and they, all with heavy hearts, walked away. The Mane 6 huddled up and ultimately Twilight called out to the Wolfras.
“Wait a minute, We have decided that you all can stay with us. Because you guys have saved Dash’s life and since you’ve such a hard time trying to fit in, we’ll be more than glad to help you.”The alicorn smiled as the Wolfras cheered and jumped for joy. "You know, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.”
"You’ve said it.”
And with that over with, the Guardians and ponies happily started to head towards Ponyville to meet the others.
“Oh, just so you know, we DO eat meat."Princess Bianca suddenly stated.
“WHAT?!” The Mane 6 gasped in unison, now beginning to worry whether to trust these creatures or not.

Chapter Two: Souls of the Unknown
As the days went by, both ponies and Wolfras have bonded well with their common interests and they begin to develop an intimate trust between them. However, there is trouble in paradise. A big trouble.
One summer afternoon at the restaurant, Twilight and Applejack talked to Princess Bianca, with deep concern on the future of their friendship, “So let me get this straight. You girls are wolves that eat meat and vegetables?” Twilight asks curiously.
“Oh yes. We also eat fruit, sweets, plants, fish and dairy products,” Princess Bianca replied cheerfully.
Applejack then questioned the wolf, “So, wha’ kind of meat d’ya eat?”
Bianca answered back, “Well, all kinds, although Wolfras promise never harm a friend of ours, so since you’re our friends, we would never eat you.” The ponies then exhaled with relief. Bianca then asked the waiter, “Excuse me, but have you got some deer or sheep for a main course?”
Twilight and Applejack both looked at each other, about to vomit and the mares quickly galloped away as fast as they can.
“Shame, the heat must have got the best of them,” Bianca said to herself, whilst the waiter looked at her anxiously.
Meanwhile, Diamond Rose and Rarity are in Carousel Boutique, who were making new dresses for the summer line for Canterlot, but Sweetie Belle begged Rarity to play with her. “Rarrrityyy, I want you to play this with me!!!” whined Sweetie Belle, whilst holding up a Monopony board game to her sister’s face.
“But can’t you wait a little while longer? I need to finish these dresses for Canterlot tonight!”
“I already waited two hours! And I’m bored!” replied Sweetie Belle.
“Why don’t you play with Opal?” Rarity suggests.
“I think she doesn’t want to,” Sweetie Belle answered, showing to Rarity and Diamond that half her tail was cut off.
“Oh, fine.” Rarity reluctantly said; who walked with her little sister. “Diamond, could you finish the dresses please? It’ll be nightfall soon and I won’t have enough time! ”
“Sure, dear, just relax, I got this.” Diamond answered reassuringly.
The next day, Rarity took Diamond Rose to Canterlot, where they saw Rarity’s dresses on display, which were so good that it drew the attention of Canterlot’s whole population. The unicorn gasped in amazement “Oh, my, it’s spectacular! Thank you thank you!” Rarity squeed in delight and hugged Diamond very tightly, almost like a bear’s hug.
“Uh, can you let me go?” Diamond says, struggling to breathe.
After that, Hoity-Toity then greets the two, “Miss Rarity, your dresses are amazing. Better than those inferior dresses from Ponyville, and since your dresses are such a sensation, it is nowa must-have item in Canterlot’s Mare Claire magazine. Kudos to you, Miss Rarity,” Hoity-Toity says, climbing through the huge crowd of mares.
Rarity squeals. “I can’t wait to show this to my friends!” says Rarity bounces with delight whilst holding her magazine. Suddenly she looks at Diamond Rose, who has saliva dripping from her mouth, eyes growing into slits and starring in a zombie-like gaze. “Diamond, are you alright?” Rarity asks with concern.
“Well, I am a bit hungry.”
“Of course, darling!” Rarity replied positively. “Which restaurant -”
“No, I need something…different...” Diamond interrupted the unicorn. She then looked at Rarity and she began to illusion the world around her turn corrupted, twisted and dark, with Rarity and the rest of the ponies as the only things bright.
“Diamond...” Rarity said fearfully to the red Wolfra and stood in a look of alarm.
Diamond knows that something is going on. “I’m sorry, Rarity.” Diamond retorts and flees the city, leaving Rarity in distress.
Back at Ponyville, Skybolt is about to race with Rainbow Dash on the racing track “Now, THIS is a racetrack, mine’s tiny compared to this!” Skybolt says.
“Hey, Sky, how ‘bout a race, for honor?” Dash suggested, challenging the wolf.
“How about a marathon!?” Skybolt energetically replied, fuelled with burning courage.
The two rocketed upon the track; both at the same velocity when suddenly a mysterious figure laid a sharp rock in front of the track that Skybolt tripped on and fell centimetres before the finish line. Dash stopped in her tracks and ran to support her Wolfra friend, whose paw was bleeding.
“Come on, let’s find you a seat,” the blue Pegasus countered, carrying Skybolt with her hooves. “Who did this?” Dash questioned.
“I did,” said a voice.
Both Skybolt and Dash looked up to see an old friend, Gilda.
“Well, well, look who’s a sight for sore eyes,” Gilda smirked.
“What do you want, Gilda?” Dash interrogated, with an angered tone.
“Who’s Gilda?” said Skybolt.
“She used to be my friend from flight camp,” Dash explained, “But she offended my friends from Ponyville, so we are now…”
“Enemies?” Gilda interrupted.
Dash thought about this and replied no, saying that she didn’t want to hold a grudge against the griffon.
“Well, Dash, I thought I’d dropped by to say hello to my favourite dweeb, who’s now friends with a drooling mutt,” Gilda insulted the two.
“Hey, Skybolt here is better friend than YOU’LL ever be!” Dash replied angrily, defending her friend.
“Oh, yeah, prove it. How about a race against me, mutt?” Gilda responded boastfully.
“Well, thanks to YOU, I’ve hurt my paw.” Skybolt answered, showing her wound.
“Aww, is this wee little puppy too chicken for a little race?” Gilda jerked, further angering the Wolfra.
“Oi! I had just about enough of your lip! I ain’t gonna let a bully like you hurt my friends or ‘offend em either!? You maybe all cool and hip, but you know what? You’re just a bully and a coward, no matter what. Look, I don’t know this for sure but maybe Dash became friends with you because you had no one else to be friends with and maybe you were lonely.”
“Now what I know, is that Dash left you because the way you treated everypony was wrong. And you lost a really cool friend. If you want friends, then you better change your attitude, mate. Because you’ll never be friends with anypony with an attitude like that. So, the choice is yours, be nice towards others, or be alone. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to the Coliseum.” Skybolt says, caring her friend with the power of words.
Gilda was left shocked, having being beaten by her game by the simple act of conversation. While she stared at the two friends with deep emotion, Dash then picked up Skybolt and flew away. Gilda looked up stunned, but forms one small tear in her eye and walked away in melancholy.
Once the duo landed on Cloudsdale, Dash was the first to speak after a short pause. “That was AWESOME!” Dash said triumphantly, “You were so cool with that speech,” She continues, “In fact- hey, are you all right?” Dash suddenly asks, looking at Skybolt, who is beginning to grow out claws and her teeth are growing sharp.
“I-I’m fine. I just need FOOD,” Skybolt said ominously, in a stare.
“Then, let’s get some grub! Besides, that race did work up an appetite!” Dash replied cheerfully and pushed the now twitching Wolfra to the coliseum. At Cloudsdale Coliseum, which was holding the Wonderbolts Derby, Rainbow and Skybolt both took their seats. “Wait here; I’ll go get the food. Be back in a dash!” Rainbow said, speeding off.
While she waited, Skybolt began to feel something she didn’t feel before. Her claws were showing, her stomach was growling and her memory was beginning to fade. If only she knew what it was? She never had this back in Caniselia.
Then, Rainbow then came back with food and drink. “I am Rainbow Dash, the delivery mare of the Food Train!” Dash said, whilst she playfully mimicked a train. She laughed, “Hey, thanks for helping me with Gilda back then, I’ve never seen anypony stood up to Gilda before. Well, except me, of course. Here, on the house.” She asked and handed over a cupcake to her friend.
Skybolt quickly eats the cupcake down her throat to satiate her hunger, but to no success. She then starts to ignore it. “Whoa, ‘ow did I get up ‘ere?” she says, looking at how high she is.
“Duh, Twilight did a spell that gave you Wolfras the power to stand on clouds, remember?” Rainbow Dash reminds her.
“Oh, righ’.” Skybolt sat in deep worry. “Are you okay? You’ve been acting very weird. Do ya need to lie down?” the Pegasus asked.
“No, I need…I need…” Skybolt began to fear the worst now and she didn’t know what to say.
“Well, what?” Dash replies.
Skybolt finally gave up and shouts, “No, I will NOT DO IT!” causing the other Pegasi to look at them both. Skybolt then runs away.
