Equestria, a New World. (Undergoing rewrite)
2. Distrust
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Ow" I mutter as I was just waking up. I feel though if my wrists are tied up by something that feels like rope, although it probably is rope.
"It's stirring, keep you're guard up..." I heard a voice whisper.
"Isn't this a little drastic just because of some new creature?" I heard another say, the voice sounded quite, by the sound of it, it was probably saying something that it's a bit overboard to knock out a new creature just because it's well, new. I go ahead and open my eyes, to see 6 ponies, 5 of them were unfamiliar, and the sixth one was Rainbow, easily identified by her mane. The purple pony had somewhat a mix of excitement, anxiety, and a questioning gaze and has a horn of sorts protruding from it's head, now that I think of it, it looks like one of the unicorns the guide described to me awhile ago. The pink one seemed quite happy. The orange pony with a stetson had a look of disapproval, which I'm assuming was directed toward I think the purple one, but could also have been towards me. There was a yellow Pegasus who was hiding behind the other 5, and the White one who had a look of disappointment and disgust for some reason. The room is almost entirely made of wood, and there were windows, so I'm assuming that were in a basement of some kind.
"Are you sure this was the BEST thing you could'a done?" The orange one seemed to ask the purple pony.
"Yes. I'm sure." The purple pony replied.
"Mind telling me why my wrists are tied up? And why does it look like you are about to dissect me?" I asked, hoping to know why I'm being held like a prisoner. The purple one immediately looked astonished.
"Wow, looks like you didn't lie Rainbow." Said the purple one.
"Don't ignore my question. And Who are you?" I asked, now I'm kinda annoyed, it must have gotten into my voice by the look of them.
"Doesn't seem right for the interrogator to be interrogated by the one who's SUPPOSED to be asked the questions." The purple one said. "Now, lets get to asking the questions. Who and what are you?" she asked.
"Guess I wont get answers until I answer a few questions myself..." I muttered under my breath. "I am Nightshade, a Terrarian."
"Wait, earlier you said you were human." Rainbow Dash said
"That's what I would be if it weren't for some differences." I said hoping that ends that question.
"Really? What differences?" The purple one asked, who seemed to get a little more excited.
"Sorry, I'm not going to reveal that unless I trust you." I said, smirking.
"...Why are you here?" She asked
"I found a portal and I got curious so I went through. Thought I would find something that was worth looking at. Not much so far." I said. Half lying, everything here was worth looking at.
"Do you know magic?" She asked, looking slightly offended.
"I don't have any spells if that's what you're asking, besides, I wouldn't be able to do much anyway, considering I barely have any mana." I said.
"What's mana?" She asked, surprising me.
"You're kidding right? It's essential to all spells. How could you not know that?" I said, surprised.
"Are you sure? From what little I know about mana is that it is pure magic that is not possible to create unless you are a god of some sort, one with the potential to create universes!" She said, matter of factly.
"You should know that it takes a lot of mana and extreme willpower to create something that large. That, and an extremely creative mind, only once has that ever happened, and it probably won't ever again." I said, basically saying that creating a universe isn't easy.
"Really? Then how do you get mana?" She asked. Surprising me with what little she knows about mana.
"You need to crush 5 fallen stars into a mana crystal. Which you then use to gain some mana." I said, with a edge to my voice that meant the discussion is over.
"How many bones do you have?" She asked, surprising me from going from magic, to anatomy.
"Two hundred something." I said. "I'm finished answering questions. If you continue to do so, I will not answer, I just want to continue exploring." I tried to remove any possible chance for any other questions to be asked.
"I can't let you do anything before I report to the princess." She said and called "SPIKE!" And in a blur I saw a purple dragon who I assumed to be spike who apparently had a quill and a letter ready. "Write to the princess." I tuned out all talking that erupted and I knew this was going to be a LONG stay in this Equestria place. Apparently this place has leaders, a monarchy I'm guessing.

Princess Celestia was just finished with ordering three of her many guards to investigate something about gryphons threatening some ponies in one of the rural towns near the borders of equestria and the gryphon countries when she saw a letter materialize out of thin air in front of her, assuming it's a friendship report by Twilight, she opened and read it. Princess Celestia was surprised to find out that a new creature showed up in equestria, presumably from inside the Everfree forest. What was described in the letter appeared to be a bipedal creature with a mane only on it's head. She determined that it was a good enough reason to visit ponyville, although she thought it was funny that all the interesting stuff seemed to happen in ponyville. Celestia casted a spell that teleported her into Twilight's library, remembering that what she read in the letter said it was in the basement, she walked down some stairs and through where a door should be.

I noticed a new 'pony' quietly walk into the room, though it could hardly be called a pony because of it's rather big size. "Well hello, nice of you to join us." I said rather sarcastically to express some of my annoyance towards the ponies. All of them, except me, turned to the new arrival.
"Princess Celestia!" The purple one exclaimed, seemingly rather surprised at the newcomer simply for showing up.
"Must you always be so surprised whenever I show up?" it said, smiling warmly at them. There's something about it that seems... off? "Is that the new creature you mentioned?" it asked, looking at me.
"Nothing special here, just being held captive by a lunatic." I said, snickering at the harsh glare that the purple one is now looking at me with.
"No need to be rude to my star student." She said, frowning at me.
"Hey, that was a joke... though the part about it holding me captive is true." I said, earning another glare at using the term 'it' against it.
"Don't hold anypony or anything against their will, unless it's a plant." She said, now looking at her proposed 'star' student.
"I'm sorry but did you just use 'anypony'? that's a strange way to say 'anyone'." I said, now noticing the confused faces. "Score 1 for the Terrarian." I said, smirking. "This is going to be a fun stay." I mutter quietly.
