//-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria, a New World. (Undergoing rewrite) -by Vinnoe- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Portal //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. The Strange Portal.      Death. That is what I know is behind me while i'm running for my life. I looked behind me, and to my horror I see the Eater of Souls gaining on me as I start feeling my lungs burn from running so long, the crunching of the Autumn leaves under my shoes with the gurgling of the creature that wants to eat me alive. I find a small hole that I jump into and I quickly place a dirt block above me to prevent the Eater from following me. Will I ever stop getting into these kind of situations? I think, probably not answering my own question as I start digging downwards in hopes I find something that will help me. While i'm digging I feel my pickaxe hit something that isn't dirt, I start swinging even harder, eager to find out what it is I struck. When I pick it up i'm a little disappointed to find that it was just silver, I immediately feel happy because i knew that silver was good. When I finish digging up the shiny and useful mineral, I fall and I land on my stomach.    "uuuaaagh..." I mumble as the shock passes through. When I stood up, I got out a torch and I placed it in front of me, and I notice something that will scar me for a long time. That is, if I make it out alive. I realize that i'm in the crimson, basically the corruption, just as bad or worse. I hear gurgling/slurping noises. I tense up, as I realize that i'm going to be eaten by an Crimera, basically an eater of souls but born of the crimson, red and not greenish, without eyes, and while having a small mouth with very sharp teeth made for latching onto you and sucking out your blood. I turn around, and to add to my Horror, I see that it's a very big one. This isn't going to be pleasant I thought, as I shut my eyes and wait for the inevitable pain. I waited. The pain didn't come, and I crack open an eye, and I see the Crimera is about to eat me whole, to my surprise, and it just eats me. Darkness. Pain. I wake up gasping and sweating, realizing i'm still alive, I start laughing out of relief. I stand up and put my golden armor on, and I pick up my tools, which absorb into my hand and disappear. I start walking for the door only for me to stop moving and gain serious goosebumps. I feel like I'm being watched by something evil... I chuckle worriedly and I was about to open the door to notice Cody the Guide is awake.   "What are you doing up so late? You DO know it's very dangerous to be wandering around at night." He told me, looking tired and annoyed "It would be a shame for you to die again, you know how horrible feeling death is."   "I had a nightmare, I plan to go digging to get my mind off of what I saw in it." I lied, which I didn't feel comfortable doing.   "Don't think I can't tell a lie from the truth. What are you REALLY doing?" He questioned me. He had me beat, I don't go digging during the night, mostly because of the Demon eyes and the Zombies that like to show up.   "... Fine, i'm going to go exploring in the corruption to get my mind off of it. Happy?" I said, annoyance reaching into the edge of my voice.   "Sort of, I don't want you going getting yourself in mortal danger without having enough health." He said matter of factly and then said "You might want to go find some life crystals before going into the corruption, you don't know what might be lurking deep in it."   "I'm not going to die, I have gold armor, gold sword, and a gold bow. what could possibly go wrong?" I said confidently before opening the door and leaving the house to the guide, merchant, and nurse to themselves for awhile. I start speed walking towards the corruption to see if I can find something valuable. I look at the trees around me, and smile, it was always good to look at something calm and nice to help calm myself a little. But what really calms me, is searching underground for valuables. I quickly approach the corruption, and I take a deep breath and I fill with confidence. I jump into the first chasm i see and I am quickly engulfed by darkness.   I realize it was a dumb decision when I forgot about fall damage and I clench my eyes shut and wait for the quick, painful crunch that will come, I wait and I fall onto some creature. I open my eyes and see I happened to land on an eater of souls, which is now freaking out and bumping into the ebonstone walls. I draw out my sword, and I drive it into one of its eyes, making it make an ear piercing screech presumably to call for help. I knew it's useless because I pull out my sword and drive it into another eye, where it screeches again and dies.       I jump off the creature and i start looking for a weak point in the ebonstone, knowing I can't break it with a gold pickaxe, I have to resort to bombs to break it. once I find one  I knock on it to be sure, and sure enough it felt a slight bit softer than everywhere else. I grab a stick of dynamite and light it, in which I sprint a nice distance and I turn around in time to watch it explode and drop everything it destroyed, I absorb it all and I start digging through some dirt and I eventually fall into a cavern. Which looks remarkably the same as the one I had a nightmare about. with one small difference. Make that big Difference. What I am looking at right now appears to be a portal, which appears to be made of the rock that's like ebonstone but its crimson instead of corruption, even though the whole room is of the crimson right now. I slowly walk over to it, dead blink roots crunching under my boots, and I touch it, only for it burn me and open up, startled, I fall over and my head, protected by my helmet, strikes a stalagmite. i Slowly get up, shaking my head, and I look at the now open portal, which is swirling with bright, vivid colors.      I got curious and I jumped into the portal, regretting the decision, because I am feeling unbelievable amounts of pain right now it's not even funny. I manage to stay conscious long enough for me to exit the portal for me to see that I exited in a forest right next to presumably a town.     I woke up, feeling a migraine set in, and I sit up, and look carefully at my surroundings, I noticed that the trees don't look like normal forest ones, or the jungle ones. This forest. It's giving me the creeps. I stand up and I look behind me, noticing that the portal is there, only barely visible, and it's not made of crimstone anymore, it appears to be some unknown material, which I try to break with my pickaxe, in which it isn't affected. Whatever that material is, I cant break it. I decide to head towards what appears to be a town. I hear a loud roar from behind me. I spin around too see a cat like creature with limbs that I don't recognize. I quickly whipped out my Gold bow, and I fired a few fire arrows at it, which only made it angry. I put my bow away and I sprinted toward the village like I never sprinted before. I could feel the stomps it was making, and they grew more violent, then I knew it was gaining on me, I wouldn't normally do this but I would rather preserve my life and try to get help then not get help at all. I started yelling loudly as I ran.                                                                                                   ~   A cyan Pegasus stirred awake at the sound of somepony yelling, apparently from the everfree forest. sweet Celestia doesn't anypony learn?! she thought as she stretched her wings and took flight in the direction of the yelling. When she got close enough she noticed that the pony yelling for his life isn't a pony at all, but a Minotaur like creature wearing strange clothes, but she didn't care, somepony was in danger and needed saving, apparently from a manticore. The cyan Pegasus sped up and picked up the strange creature.   "jeez how much do you weigh?" She asked the Minotaur like thing she was carrying.                                                                                                   ~   I noticed that I was being picked up by this strange cyan horse-like creature with wings and I noticed it speak to me.   "jeez how much do you weigh?" It asked. I would explain after I was out of danger, so instead I looked up, and glared with a look that could kill. In which the creature glared back but carried me out of the now known dangerous forest.   "What is that? and what is this place?" I asked, in which the horse creature looked pretty damn surprised when I said that. She dropped me onto the ground just as we reached a good distance away from the forest, apparently right In plain sight close to the town.   "Who are you? What are you?" it asked, and now it was my turn to be surprised, to not know what I am.   "Well considering you just saved me I will tell you. I am Nightshade, a human." I said, answering it's question, "Now who are YOU, and what are you? and what was chasing me and what is that creepy place?" I asked, it's turn to answer my questions. It looked surprised again, as if I was stupid or something.   "You don't know what a pony is? What are you stupid?" the pony replied. Well. i'm not surprised. Considering it's small. "I am Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in equestria, and what you were running from, is a deadly manticore, and what that creepy forest place is the Everfree forest." now I realized something, she has wings, i'm guessing its a she because of the feminine-ish voice.   "Where did you get you're wings?" I asked, curious because I would love to craft my own, but then she started laughing. Why is she laughing at my question?   "What? You think you could get wings other than being born with them? You're so dumb!" she said, finally calming down. "Apparently I AM in a different world, considering you ponies exist, that manticore exists, and everything i'm seeing in this world apparently exists." I said, scowling. I stood up and walked into the village, where so many ponies are staring at me, and they all started screaming and running. Don't they know i'm a hero? Wait, it's probably because I have never been here before i thought.   Then someone yelled "MONSTER!" Yep. That explains it. I guess in sorta know how the slime's feel. Now that I think of it, I haven't seen any here, which is strange. Considering they were everywhere I went, even on floating islands. I felt a sudden pain on my head, and I blacked out. //-------------------------------------------------------// 2. Distrust //-------------------------------------------------------// 2. Distrust   "Ow" I mutter as I was just waking up. I feel though if my wrists are tied up by something that feels like rope, although it probably is rope.   "It's stirring, keep you're guard up..." I heard a voice whisper.   "Isn't this a little drastic just because of some new creature?" I heard another say, the voice sounded quite, by the sound of it, it was probably saying something that it's a bit overboard to knock out a new creature just because it's well, new. I go ahead and open my eyes, to see 6 ponies, 5 of them were unfamiliar, and the sixth one was Rainbow, easily identified by her mane. The purple pony had somewhat a mix of excitement, anxiety, and a questioning gaze and has a horn of sorts protruding from it's head, now that I think of it, it looks like one of the unicorns the guide described to me awhile ago. The pink one seemed quite happy. The orange pony with a stetson had a look of disapproval, which I'm assuming was directed toward I think the purple one, but could also have been towards me. There was a yellow Pegasus who was hiding behind the other 5, and the White one who had a look of disappointment and disgust for some reason. The room is almost entirely made of wood, and there were windows, so I'm assuming that were in a basement of some kind.   "Are you sure this was the BEST thing you could'a done?" The orange one seemed to ask the purple pony.   "Yes. I'm sure."  The purple pony replied.   "Mind telling me why my wrists are tied up? And why does it look like you are about to dissect me?" I asked, hoping to know why I'm being held like a prisoner. The purple one immediately looked astonished.   "Wow, looks like you didn't lie Rainbow." Said the purple one.   "Don't ignore my question. And Who are you?" I asked, now I'm kinda annoyed, it must have gotten into my voice by the look of them.   "Doesn't seem right for the interrogator to be interrogated by the one who's SUPPOSED to be asked the questions." The purple one said. "Now, lets get to asking the questions. Who and what are you?" she asked.   "Guess I wont get answers until I answer a few questions myself..." I muttered under my breath. "I am Nightshade, a Terrarian."   "Wait, earlier you said you were human." Rainbow Dash said   "That's what I would be if it weren't for some differences." I said hoping that ends that question.   "Really? What differences?" The purple one asked, who seemed to get a little more excited.   "Sorry, I'm not going to reveal that unless I trust you." I said, smirking.   "...Why are you here?" She asked   "I found a portal and I got curious so I went through. Thought I would find something that was worth looking at. Not much so far." I said. Half lying, everything here was worth looking at.   "Do you know magic?" She asked, looking slightly offended.   "I don't have any spells if that's what you're asking, besides, I wouldn't be able to do much anyway, considering I barely have any mana." I said.   "What's mana?" She asked, surprising me.   "You're kidding right? It's essential to all spells. How could you not know that?" I said, surprised.   "Are you sure? From what little I know about mana is that it is pure magic that is not possible to create unless you are a god of some sort, one with the potential to create universes!" She said, matter of factly.   "You should know that it takes a lot of mana and extreme willpower to create something that large. That, and an extremely creative mind, only once has that ever happened, and it probably won't ever again." I said, basically saying that creating a universe isn't easy.   "Really? Then how do you get mana?" She asked. Surprising me with what little she knows about mana.   "You need to crush 5 fallen stars into a mana crystal. Which you then use to gain some mana." I said, with a edge to my voice that meant the discussion is over.   "How many bones do you have?" She asked, surprising me from going from magic, to anatomy.   "Two hundred something." I said. "I'm finished answering questions. If you continue to do so, I will not answer, I just want to continue exploring." I tried to remove any possible chance for any other questions to be asked.   "I can't let you do anything before I report to the princess." She said and called "SPIKE!" And in a blur I saw a purple dragon who I assumed to be spike who apparently had a quill and a letter ready. "Write to the princess." I tuned out all talking that erupted and I knew this was going to be a LONG stay in this Equestria place. Apparently this place has leaders, a monarchy I'm guessing.                                                                                                   ~   Princess Celestia was just finished with ordering three of her many guards to investigate something about gryphons threatening some ponies in one of the rural towns near the borders of equestria and the gryphon countries when she saw a letter materialize out of thin air in front of her, assuming it's a friendship report by Twilight, she opened and read it. Princess Celestia was surprised to find out that a new creature showed up in equestria, presumably from inside the Everfree forest. What was described in the letter appeared to be a bipedal creature with a mane only on it's head. She determined that it was a good enough reason to visit ponyville, although she thought it was funny that all the interesting stuff seemed to happen in ponyville. Celestia casted a spell that teleported her into Twilight's library, remembering that what she read in the letter said it was in the basement, she walked down some stairs and through where a door should be.                                                                                                   ~   I noticed a new 'pony' quietly walk into the room, though it could hardly be called a pony because of it's rather big size. "Well hello, nice of you to join us." I said rather sarcastically to express some of my annoyance towards the ponies. All of them, except me, turned to the new arrival.   "Princess Celestia!" The purple one exclaimed, seemingly rather surprised at the newcomer simply for showing up.   "Must you always be so surprised whenever I show up?" it said, smiling warmly at them. There's something about it that seems... off? "Is that the new creature you mentioned?" it asked, looking at me.   "Nothing special here, just being held captive by a lunatic." I said, snickering at the harsh glare that the purple one is now looking at me with.   "No need to be rude to my star student." She said, frowning at me.   "Hey, that was a joke... though the part about it holding me captive is true." I said, earning another glare at using the term 'it' against it.   "Don't hold anypony or anything against their will, unless it's a plant." She said, now looking at her proposed 'star' student.   "I'm sorry but did you just use 'anypony'? that's a strange way to say 'anyone'." I said, now noticing the confused faces. "Score 1 for the Terrarian." I said, smirking. "This is going to be a fun stay." I mutter quietly. //-------------------------------------------------------// 3. Realization //-------------------------------------------------------// 3. Realization Something seems familiar about the name 'Human'... Princess Celestia thought as the Mane 6 and the discovered 'Human' were trotting through the halls in Canterlot castle, in the Humans case, walking.   "Tell us about you're world." Celestia said suddenly, and the Human looked half-surprised.   "Are you sure? From what I have seen, you're world doesn't take the idea of something potentially evil lightly. That, and my arms are binded together by what feels like weak magic as a precaution." Said the Human, looking unsure, but then continued "I guess it doesn't. Okay , so, my world is very... defined to say the least. It contains evils not easily defeated. Such as the curse that currently afflicts the old man at the dungeon. I learned my lesson about not being able to kill skeletron before day..." It seemed to shudder but then speak once more "also the corruption and the crimson. Both are something you cannot fight with a simple sword or bow or even magic. No, it takes something more to destroy it. But I don't know how yet. But I won't know until I kill something strong. something very evil. Well, from what I was told by the guide anyway."   "You speak of killing things like they don't deserve to live." Celestia said, more curious than shocked, like the mane 6 are.   "You're point?" It asked.   "Maybe they deserve to live. Are you sure you aren't mistaken?" The alicorn spoke. The Human seemed shocked by this, but then quickly dissipated.   "No. You obviously don't know evil. I fight and kill them to protect Terraria from being destroyed, or at least uninhabitable. I fight and kill them because they threaten my friends with their lives." It explained. seemed to think about something, and said "And I'm NOT evil if that's what your thinking."   Celestia considered this and shook her head. "I doubt you're telling the truth."                                                                                                    ~   "I doubt you're telling the truth." Celestia said. And I gaped at her for thinking that, I was very much telling the truth. I almost broke the spell that binded my arms together before remembering why I don't want to break the spell. "Considering the type of magic you're using, I'm assuming that you have a lie detection spell. go ahead and use it on me."   "Hmm. Considering you know about it. I think you're trying to get me to cast the spell, only for you to use a spell of you're own to make it seem like you're telling the truth. Also, how would you even be able to use magic. You don't even have a horn to channel it through." Celestia explained, trying to confuse me or something.   "Are you dumb? oh wait never-mind. you know little to nothing about mana. Mana can't be used for something so... useless?   I don't need a horn to channel mana. All it takes is some thought and an object that has a specific ability to channel that magic so it can be used." I explained, gaining a few confused looks. While The purple one and Celestia are glaring a little, but they seem to understand what I'm talking about.                                                                                                    ~   Meanwhile, at the Terrarian portal in the Everfree forest. Some purple and red spores slowly float through the portal, for a gust of wind to spread them throughout Equestria before landing on grass, flowers, ice, trees, and a large desert. They        are immediately absorbed by them, and some turn red, and some turn purple, and once all this has finished, the portal blips out of existence as if it was never there                                                                                                    ~   "I left a staff in Terraria which-" I said, before quickly turning my head, and emptying my stomach contents all over the floor.  I felt as if something horrible just happened and it was irreversible. When I was finished, I stood back up, and was met by horrified looks from all the ponies, and the white one with purple hair fainted. Drama queen. I thought in my head.   "Are you sick?" Celestia asked and I shook my head.   "I feel completely fine, somewhat. Though I felt as if something irreversible happened which made me well, puke everywhere. Sorry about that." I said swallowing, trying to get the bad taste out of my mouth.   "Don't worry about it, the maids will clean it up. Though do you have an idea about what may have caused it?" Celestia asked, and suddenly, everyone except me winced. The pink one suddenly started shaking really fast. I take that back, she started VIBRATING.   "H-how are you doing that?" I said, amazed, and then the others all turned to pink one. Who all had their mouths drop open.   "Pinkie pie. What does that one mean?" The purple pony asked, visibly scared. Then, as suddenly as it began, it ended.   "I'm not sure twilight, but I think it's a doozy." Pinkie said, who then started laughing, probably because she was vibrating.   "Luna and I will discuss this and wait for any new about anything strange." Celestia said, apparently understanding what this 'doozy' this. "Human, you will live in ponyville with Twilight so she may keep an eye on you."   "I have a name you know." I said before a bright flash temporarily blinds me. "Could have warned me about the teleportation."   "Maybe I didn't know human eyes were a bit more susceptible to light than pony eyes are." Twilight almost growled.   "Whats with the sudden hostility? Well that benefits us as well as it has some drawbacks. It helps see farther into caves, but when there's a lot of sudden light, it hurts." I explained. "Sleepy.. Feeling..." I close my eyes and fall flat on my face before sleep takes me in it's embrace. //-------------------------------------------------------// 4. Guide //-------------------------------------------------------// 4. Guide   I open my eyes, and immediately I feel as if my nose is broken. I get up and I touch my nose and i felt a sharp pain causing me to wince. I go ahead and drink one of my few health potions, which instantly snapped my nose together with a cool feeling. I then go ahead and touch my nose again and there was no pain. I always did something like that, as if I feel it didn't work or something. I look at the walls for the first time and I noticed that this must be a living wood tree. Then I look at the walls. I must have had my jaw drop to the floor to the sheer amount of books. I couldn't even comprehend it, I immediately started looking through for one that had spells in it. Good spells. But then I realized something. I won't be able to cast them, because they aren't made for mana. I turned around to see Twilight right behind me, and immediately felt my heart rate get so dangerously high that I might have a heart attack.   I took a moment to take deep breaths to get my heart rate back down before saying "Don't sneak up on people. You nearly killed me."   "Couldn't you hear me trotting down the stairs?" Twilight asked.   "No. I was busy looking through book titles to find a spell that would be useful to me. Well, one that I can actually CAST." I said, annoyed.   "There are tons of spells here, why can't you ca- oh yeah. you can't because you use mana. Not normal magic." She said, then seemed to remember something. "I DO have one book  that contains a spell that nobody can use. Maybe you could?" pointing with her hoof at a particularly dusty book near the bottom. When I bent over and read the title. Water Bolt. I immediately felt excited and clapped before grabbing the book and shooting one at the ceiling. I would have casted more but I only have 20 mana. and only 4 fallen stars. So I won't be able to craft any mana crystals just yet. When I looked at the bolt I shot, I realized I shot it at an angle in which it will hit twilight, not knowing how much health she has, I shoved her out of the way and took the blow myself. I felt a wet, but very painful feeling on the left side of me under my rib cage. My armor blocked out some of the damage but I still took much of the blow.   "What was that fo-" Twilight said looking angry, until she realized why I had shoved her out of the way.   "Water bolt. It actually hurt." I said already healing. "Just give me a sec and i'll be completely fine." "How will you be fine?! You were hit by an unknown spell!" Twilight said, almost seeming a little crazy.   I raised my left eyebrow in a questioning look "What do you mean? It wouldn't matter if it was fatal." I said, gaining an odd look. "What? Aren't any of you immortal?"   "A-are you saying you're a god?" she said.   "No. Are you an idiot? Gods don't exist." I said. "Terrarians. Aka me and a rumored Disciple of the Spirit of Dar-" I heard a faint screaming, which seemed to get louder with every second until it didn't actually get any louder. "Who the hell is screaming?" I asked, noticing twilight was looking at something. I turned around, only to face someone familiar. Someone who was now covered in large cuts and was bleeding profusely.   "Wait. Cody, is that you?!" I asked, shaking him, getting his attention.   "N-Nightshade? Where were you?" He asked, seemingly calming down. "Where am I?"   "How did you get here? Why do you look so wounded?. Drink this" I said, handing him a healing potion, which closed up most of his wounds.   "I d-don't know... But this guy, he said he was the Disciple. He attacked us. With a blade that looked remarkably familiar." He said, calming even more, but obviously distressed.   "Are Wilbur and Emily safe? And theres something you don't know? I'm surprised." I asked.   "No. They are running for their lives." He said.   "Hold on a second. Why did this guy just show up out of nowhere?" Twilight asked.   "You have no sympathy for someone who would have died? That's just cold Twilight" I said, glaring.   "Says the pony who kills things." She retorted.   "That's different. Those are evil." I said   "Do they really deserve to die?" Twilight asked. I thought about it for a moment.   "Yes. They kill people. In the most painful ways possible." I said. Just then, I heard the flapping of wings. Not feathered wings. More bat wings than anything. I thought nothing of it.   "Those wingbeats... they sound like the disciples wings." Cody said. Then I became very worried. "The Disciple is dangerous. I heard he's more powerful than the eater of worlds, maybe even stronger than Plantera."   "Plantera?" Both Twilight and I asked at the same time.   "The jungle guardian. Plantera is exactly what it sounds like. A plant. But anyone who has fought him, Didn't come back. But Nightshade, you're near immortality gives you an advantage. It allows you to try again, and again, and again as many times as you want. Effectively making it so you will eventually find a way to defeat it." Cody said, before walking to one of the couches and fell asleep.   "... He fell asleep faster than I did." I said, surprised.   "Really? You just went ahead and fell asleep in midair. I think you still hold the record." Twilight said. "Both of you fell asleep faster than Rainbow Dash. And she sleeps. A lot."   "Okay? I'm going to go find the portal that's in the Everfree. See you in maybe, 5-6 minutes? You know what. Do you know how to teleport?" I asked. Surprising myself because I never ask anyone to go with me on my little 'Adventures'.   "Yes, why?" Twilight answered, actually looking like she's thinking all the possibilities about what I might reply.   "Well, it might help me that if you came along with me, just in case one of those uhhh.. Manticores comes along and tries to  kill us? Because my weapons just didn't scratch it when I first got here. That, and I think you want to see the portal." I said, noticing something like a speck of dust, which was very small, and apparently... Purple, fly in front of my eye and land on my right hand. I felt dark energy just POURING out of it, as if it was... Oh shit. The corruption is here.   "Well now that I think of it, I do want to see the portal." She said, now looking at me. "What you looking at?" She must have seen the fear on my face, because she then said, "Whats wrong?"   "You know about the corruption I told you all about? Apparently it's uh, here. In Equestria. Because this speck of what I think might be dust, or a spore, is releasing so much dark energy. That, and it's purple." I said, not sure what to do with it. "I need to find someplace to destroy this. Know any place with lava in it? Or put it in the ground in a place where it can't spread. Preferably something with tons of clay. I mean tons. Because it can't corrupt clay. It will just remain there, doing completely nothing and we can forget about it. Or we could purify it. But we have no means of doing so." I said, calming myself down. "You know what, just put it in a jar for now. It won't do any harm that way and we can figure out what to do with it later."   Twilight looked at me as if I was crazy and said "I don't sense any dark energy coming from it. You're lying. I don't see how a speck of regular dust could harm us." Then with that she used her magic and took it out of my hand and opened the door then dropped it on the ground. "lets just go see the portal."   "... Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you." I said and walked out the door and in the direction of the portal. She will see when we get back. We went to where the portal the was, and to add to my fear, the portal was gone, without a trace. //-------------------------------------------------------// 5. Unease //-------------------------------------------------------// 5. Unease   I was staring at the spot of where the portal was when I began being chased by the Manticore when I first got here. The Everfree forest seemed a little more... marshy? Than before. Probably taking on some attributes of the jungle from my now impossible to get to home.   "It's gone? How? Why?" I said, I'm actually wondering why I'm not freaking out or crying or something. I'm sure that if something like this happened to someone else, they would be scared out of their minds. I think it might be because I'm not quite reacting to the situation yet.   "Are you sure there was actually a portal? That you actually lived in the Everfree forest for you're whole life?" Twilight asked.   "Then I would have evolved in a way that fits my needs to survive in this forest. Which now seems to be a bit more like the jungle from my home." I said.   "Really? Then maybe you're world was obliterated and some of it's characteristics spread into Equestria, although very unlikely." She said.   "Not really helping the situation." I said, noticing something familiar. Something that I was very happy to see. "SLIME!" I yelled, taking out by bow, and killing it with 3 arrows. "Maybe you're right, considering I have not seen any slimes here yet. Until now. This slime. Almost the symbol of terraria. Almost. Considering the actual symbol is a green slime, or a tree."   "That WAS a green slime." She said.   "No. It wasn't. The one I just killed is a jungle slime. Take a look at the one hopping our way, do you see it's name in you're mind when you look at it?" I said, looking at it, and instantly the words 'Jungle Slime' popped up in my mind.   "No. Are you crazy? Nothing happened." Twilight said.   "Then maybe it's because you're mind doesn't give a crap about what it's called, just the fact that it's right next to you and about to kill you." I casually said, killing it.   "Wait what?" She said, now looking back to the slime, only to have gel splatter onto her face because of it's death.   "I should tell you, they burst when they die, and they are highly corrosive when alive. Basically living acid. Although when it dies it explodes into stuff called gel. It's tasty, but extremely flammable. So I would recommend washing you're face really well. Learned my lesson about it." I explained, grabbing some of the stuff off the ground and putting some in my mouth, tasting a little more sour because it was a jungle slime.   "Eww..." She said, using her magic to get it off of her.   "Is that safe? Using non mana magic to clean yourself?" I asked. Seeing a tiny spark form, making me snicker.   "Yes, and what's funny?" Twilight asked, before having her face lit on fire for a second. After it died out, her face fur now completely gone. Making me laugh really hard.   "Told you it was flammable." I said, making me laugh harder until the point where my sides feel like they might split open. While I calmed down, Twilight groaned and then she teleported us back to the library. "So. Lets see how our little corruption is doing." So I walked to the door and opened, the air smelling torched and foul. I looked at the ground, to see some corruption growing. "Oh no you don't!" I growled, using my pickaxe to obliterate the purple grass, then I noticed a tiny bit of ebonstone, which was slowly expanding. I broke the stone surrounding it, making it fall, and I caught it before it molded back into the stone underneath.   "So that's corruption?" Twilight asked, startling me, almost making me drop it, and I nodded.   "I forgot I have some bottles with me. I'm going to put the ebonstone into one, and I don't want you to do anything with it. No matter for what reason. This stuff is dangerous. Until I find a way to dispose of it. Wait. I forgot. I can simply make it no longer exist. Duh, I forgot I could do it. But I don't know how it works..." I said, before making it disappear out of thin air.   I opened the door and walked out before closing it, and walked in a direction. I walked for what seemed like hour's before it got dark, only for the sky to be lit up by the occasional falling star. One landed right in front of me, and I picked it up, and crafted it with the other 4 to make the mana crystal which I used to gain 20 more mana. Then I heard gurgling. I looked at the ground underneath me, to realize it had a slight purple tint. I sprinted back in the direction of Twilight's home.Good thing I have a good sense of direction. I thought. Before I heard the flapping of bat wings above me, and before I could look up, a dark figure landed in front of me. I take out a torch, and light everything up within a few yards, the figure had dark armor, which seemed to be made of what looks like turtle scales, but dyed blue flame and black. I take a step back, and as a result I get punched in the face, I pulled out my golden sword and struck the figure. I felt a sharp pain in my arm, and I look at it. My arm had a large cut, exactly where it should be, except on the wrong person.   "You are the Disciple aren't you?" I asked, taking another step back.   "Yes..." The Disciple said, sounding demonic and echoey, who then took out a blade, and swung at my neck. //-------------------------------------------------------// 6. The Disciple //-------------------------------------------------------// 6. The Disciple   Everything turned black the instant the Disciples glowing multi-colored blade came in contact with my neck. Immediately I started feeling the tingly sensation that accompanied death, which quickly started burning, then pure pain that came with my very atoms being torn apart and being deposited to where I would be alive again, I wanted to scream, but I couldn't because my mouth is currently gone. I then felt happy because I realized that I would be back in my own world. But then Equestria will be doomed... I thought, as the pain finally went away, I opened my eyes, and I was back in the library, apparently even death won't take me back to my own world, but it's doomed to the corruption anyway.   "EEEEEEEEEEEEP!" I heard a small startled cry, then I turned around to see what it was and I realized it must have been the the yellow mare who currently has wide eyes, and is hiding behind Twilight.   "Did I scare you? Sorry. I tend to scare people when they have never seen me respawn before." I half apologized and half explained.   "What does 'respawn' mean?" Twilight asked, curious.   "It means I died and I came back to life with all my atoms back to a set location." I explained. "An example of my immortality." After I had said that, Twilight looked really interested. "Don't think I can't feel pain because of it." Then she looked disappointed. //-------------------------------------------------------// 7. The Corruption. //-------------------------------------------------------// 7. The Corruption.   "Anyway, I have stuff I need to do." I said, turning to the door behind me.   "What kind of stuff?" I heard Twilight ask.   "Uh... stuff you would prevent me from doing even though I have to do it." I said quickly opening the door and sprinting in the direction of the corruption before being stopped by a familiar lavender magical aura.   "I would like to know." Twilight said.   "Damn. Fine. I found the corruption and I plan to dig for what little Demonite ore is likely there. And maybe fight the eater of worlds there..." I said and at the same time I began to struggle against her magical grip on me.   "Then I am coming with you to make sure nothing bad happens." Twilight said.   "The only bad thing that would happen would be that you would likely die while we're there." I said.   "You would probably die too!" She said   "Touche. But I would respawn." I said, but then I remembered the crimson I saw surrounding the portal when I first found it. How did it get there? The crimson had been destroyed hundreds of years ago by the corruption from what I know about Terraria's history. If it wasn't destroyed, then why reappear NOW? Then I realized it. It wanted to get into Equestria!   "Darn! Can I please come with you? To help?" Twilight asked.   "Ugh... fine. But when were attacked you better defend yourself with you're magic" I said, reopening the door and walking in the direction of the corruption, with Twilight walking, or trotting, in her case, beside me. I saw a lots of grass and trees and rocks and stuff.   "I hear some kind of loud wet slapping coming from behind us." Twilight commented, making me stop and think what? I turned around and saw the largest slime I have ever seen in all of my lives.   "Holy shit." I said. I was too shocked to move out of the way of the slime jumping on me and swallowing me whole. I felt a slight, but growing burning sensation on my skin. I then realized that I was being digested. I took out my golden sword and started swinging it wildly, but sluggishly inside it, effectively hurting it and spitting me out. I looked at it closely and noticed it had a ninja suit in the center of it, showing that it was smarter than normal slime's. Speaking of normal slime's, the damage I did to it made it create a few, making the larger slime smaller. I then realized what I needed to do. Attack it until it creates so many small slime's that it gets so small I could finish it off.   "Twilight, attack it until it dies!" I commanded, simultaneously swinging my sword at it.   "Kill it?! Nothing deserves to die! Even if it's evil or just acting on instinct. Any killing that happens will not be by my hooves!" Twilight said. Backing a nice distance away for an effective boss battle to occur.   "Damn. This is gonna be hard." I said, continuing to swing my sword at it and the smaller slime's. Soon, my arm started to ache a little from using my sword so much, so I backed away and started using my silver bow with flaming arrows, effectively setting it on fire for a bit. I kept shooting arrows at it, making the slime slowly get smaller and smaller. Eventually I ran out of fire arrows that I resorted to my Jester's arrows, which exploded on impact, creating many tiny stars all different colors, making a beautiful display. I did not have many left so I switched back to my sword and swung at the slime's.   "Nightshade. Nightshade! NIGHTSHADE!" Twilight yelled, Grabbing my attention. "Stop! Can't you see it's trying to run? It's given up and knows it will die if it continues." When she finished, I looked at the MUCH smaller but still biggish slime that was attempting to hop away, presumably for it's life.   "I have never, ever seen a slime run away for it's life." I said, surprised, and I stopped my attack. I had a feeling it will stick to small harmless animals now. "Anti-climactic but alright." Then I sheathed my golden sword, which, was admittedly actually kinda small. "Alright. Lets continue to the corruption. Where not so bad challenges await. Except for one. But that's a surprise." So, we continued to the corruption. Trees gradually became fewer, the grass became more sickly, the atmosphere started to have a darker tone to it, the air was stale, and I knew we were nearing it.   "I have never sensed so much evil." Twilight said, an uneasy tone in her voice.   "It's actually worse. The corruption is a nasty thing. It wants to render this world uninhabitable. To make way for the more evil creatures, which would then travel to other worlds, and spread it some more." I explained, seeing the grass become purple, and a few tree's leaves purple. "Wait. Don't step on the grass. I just remembered what happens when something without enough harmony or will steps on the corruption." I said, using my left arm to stop Twilight.   "I'm an element. I'm sure I will be fine." Twilight said, not stopping and stepping on the grass anyway. There was a loud hiss, and purple smoke was rising from the grass, which was now back to it's original green state, before succumbing to the corruption once more, now resistant to the harmony inside of Twilight.   "I have not seen that before. But it looks like it was only temporary. I guess the corruption has never faced that much harmony before, but it must be struggling against it since the grass is only tinted a shade of purple." I said, observing it. Then I noticed something disturbing. A nearby slime hopped onto the corruption, and then stopped for a small time, before just collapsing and seeping into the soil. "Uhhh.... The corruption seems quite a bit more dangerous than back in Terraria. I have honestly never seen a slime just die on being exposed to the corruption. Normally they just keep on hopping as if nothing happened. No. Something isn't right."   "I have an idea about this. You're world doesn't have harmony correct?" Twilight asked.   "It does, but only in the fabled Hallow." I said.   "Then because of the large amounts of harmony here, the corruption must be gaining more power after turning it." She explained.   "That makes sense, and I have noticed that it is also spreading slower, probably because the world is resisting." I said understanding that the corruption is much more dangerous, but slower too. "We better be fast then. Because then the Eaters of Souls will likely be twice as tough."   "E-Eaters of S-Souls?" She asked, scared now. Then I realized that they must not have creatures that are this dangerous. But they do now.   "Yeah, when they kill you, it's horribly painful, and they also take a bite of you're soul when you die." I said. "It's not pleasant. But don't worry, you're soul will regenerate, given enough time." I then walked into the corruption, searching for chasms. I heard some gurgling, so I take out my bow and search for what made the sound. Then when I found it, I almost shit myself. "W-what the fuck is that?!" I exclaimed, rapidly firing arrows at it. The Eater of Souls was SO big! But then it spit at me, and the spit hit me, immediately making me think dark and evil thoughts, and I became sick to my stomach. "That's not an Eater of Souls I can tell you that... It's something much worse." Then I fire my last arrow, luckily killing it.   I sprinted for the nearest chasm and jumped in, falling for a short time, then landing in water. When I get out of the water I placed a torch and almost wished I hadn't. I saw a giant worm, sleeping on the ebonstone, and one of it's eye's opened, glaring at me. Then I heard it roar.   "Just when I thought the day couldn't get more fun and worse." I said, backing away slightly. I think I just woke the Eater of Worlds.
