Chapter I - Saturday (Patched)
Arekay awoke from the blinding light being created from the small gaps between my closed blinds. He tried to speak, but his thought felt groggy and sore to even attempt speaking. As he tried to clear his vision he noticed his room was a state as it always was where he wasn't at school. He threw his body up and tried to clear his vision before attempting to do anything with his day. A magical aura surrounded the glass on his draws besides his bed, And the cup slowly floated towards his mouth as he reached to take a gulp. The water went down his throat and cleared his voice enough to speak and grunted by the results of the water held within the glass.
He began getting up onto his four hooves, and stared at the wardrobe opposite his bed. Swinging his arm he picked up a pair of delicate steam-punk goggles and placed the slowly over his eyes helping him to see better towards the source of light being created by his open window as he placed the glass back down on the draws besides his bed. His ears perked up as he heard his father snoring in the opposite room and decided to leave him for his benefit of having more sleep for his heavy weekend. His father wasn't the type of pony to be interrupted of his precious sleep. As he stopped staring at his plain wooden wardrobe he turned his head towards the open window as the light began shining directly into his eyes. Lucky he decided to place his goggles onto his face before doing so or his headache which suddenly became more noticeable would have been a lot worse than so.
Arekay began to stretch his legs and looked down at his white coat as he got from his bed and straightened the covers over his bed to make his room look slightly more presentable as he tided some random objects scattered around his room. The room he was surrounded by was black and white. Present in a Ying-Yang sort of fashion. The room was covered in selections of different coloured wires which had not been organised in any manor but to do the job they were placed there to do and made the room look like an organised mess. He got up and began his usual job of turning on his computer to do the design work he was assigned to do from his collage I.T teacher.
However, as any other day Arekay was not assigned to do much but his usual hobby he gotten up late into the afternoon and had just passed dinner making it more of a wise choice to have something to eat before doing any coursework from school. Which his stomach and his mind had to both agree on. As this latest development accorded he decided to head towards the kitchen downstairs and grabbing something to eat before doing anything on his uneventful day.
He quickly made himself some tea, two sugars and plenty of milk, with a side of noodles in a plain white bowl. Arekay resulted in sitting on the sofa in the front room and beginning to eat to levitating bowl of noodles in-front of him with a basic metal fork. He began eating while turning on the television and resulted into staring at it for the next half an hour. With no reasons in mind, the television went blank and everything in the house became quiet. He dropped everything out of his magical arua and checked the white box next to the television left in the far corner of the room untouched. Within the white box was one simple box with a glowing yellow screen with the numbers '0.00' in the middle of the small screen. Arekay knew exactly what this meant. The electricity is off until the card was refilled after being took out of the little box and put back in with a decent amount of bits on the card.
Due to this latest development Arekay rushed towards the small piles of pits left on the table and grabbed them and his saddle bags left against the couch. Picking them both up and dropping them on my back I rushed outside the door at the far corner of the pale living-room. Through the door was a massive burst of light stunning me for some length of time and made the pumping of the blood in my head, forever worse. Regardless of my goggles the light was surprisingly bright for the beginning of winter. As my eyes focused to the immensely bright light I began to head to the center of PonyVille to roam the stalls and shops in the quest for someone who has the supply's needed to refill the small, little card in my large empty saddlebags. My house was on the far outskirts of Ponyville, Between Twilight's house and Fluttershy's cottage. They were both good friends to Arekay regardless of his lack of cutie mark. He was mocked and teased about anything regarding his lack of a cutie mark but was set out to help people regardless of the stares he got from a wide range of fillys in Ponyville. While he was deep in his thoughts he had no idea that he had already arrived in the center of Ponyville and shook himself out of his thoughts and began searching for Moe's shop located east of the center of the town.
He found the store and stood outside staring at the old cottage which had been revamped into a small shop. Regardless of its looks the shop sold everything the average pony needed what didn't include massive amounts of bags filled with selections of goods. Arekay headed in to the shop and grabbed an energy drink to help him get a bit more awake and sprayed a small amount of bits onto the counter at the far end of the shop including the small, nearly blank card. Moe welcomed me and took the bits offered to him and Arekay took the goods he needed and left the shop in a hurry to get back to do the coursework left for him to do within the small amount of time he was given. Arekay was yet again lost in thoughts by the time he got home and took him a while to realize that he had been standing in front of his little cottage for a mere few minutes. Noticing this he pulled his keys out of his saddle bags and unlocked the door. He rushed towards the small white box in the corner of his room and replaced the card that had been removed. The small screen in front of him lit up with the amount of bits he had used and the light from the television was replaced once more. Turning it off with his blue aura he headed to the staircase he had recently came down from and headed up them towards his bedroom to continue his day on the massive computer on a small black desk to begin the long amount of time needed to finish his assignment.
Chapter II - A Green Glow
The weekend had gone by with a haze, mostly spending time doing a selection of coursework and selections of different fan-fictions based around a variety of shows. The weekend went by as any other weekend would, enjoyable but fast. This had become a weekly thing and was a struggle due to the selections of tasks he was given from school and his father.
Arekay awoke to the same daily school routine and consisted of getting up feeling groggy and a slight headache. And as always he began to dress in his long white top just covering his flank, as always, it lacked a cutie mark. Putting a tie on he thought of the selections of lessons he was assigned to do for the day and what he had left to do in those lessons. collage consisted of education of certain hours and with any free time you had, you was assigned to do coursework. It became a regular thing where Arekay had completed the coursework assigned weeks before it had to be due in as his lessons consisted of IT, Math, Graphic Design and Computing. All consisting of things he was excellent in. All the stuff he had been taught at this first year of collage he already knew and blitz the work he was gave the second he was given it. As usual he kept to himself and with the spare time in lessons he animated different things consisting his small group of friends and things they liked to get up to. After his tasks he began on the animation completed he uploaded them to a selection of sites and as always, his amazing talent was ignored.
However, on the way home from school he took his usual pathways winding through Ponyville and noticed something at the corner of his eye. It was a small green light, barely noticeable from the powerful sun in Celestia's rule. He ignored the tiny light in the distance of the sky. 'Must be me, going crazy as always' and sighed at the end of his mumbling noticing he was alone and was talking to himself. It became a hobby to him as he constantly did a selection of commenting about gaming and videos on the internet but did not seem to be noticed due to the massive amount of other pony's trying to do a similar thing with their lives. But regardless of his ignorance, the light seemed to be getting brighter and slowly changing into a cyan green colour. He stopped in his tracks and began to stare for more longer than it was socially acceptable. He soon realized that it wasn't just changing colour, but moving towards the direction of the mountains far behind his cottage on the outskirts of Ponyville. He began walking again, keeping full contact on the moving blaze and soon noticed that his eyes were drying up due to the lack of recent blinking. He lost his deep thoughts and blinked. Arekay then realized the light had varnished form the sky. He stopped staring deep into the clouds around Ponyville and looked for the mysterious green glow what once was in the sky above him.
Arekay was once again, lost deep in thought on what happened and came to a conclusion. Ask Twilight. Twilight was the only pony he actually had any sort of friendly relationship what used logic as a living due to her deeds she has to do to help or aid the princesses. Twilight's house was not far from his own cottage and was the first pony he would go to if he had any questions she may or may not know due to her supply of books and the contacts she has around Equestria what could help her here and there. Arekay began to consider the things the mysterious light he saw could have been, but his quest lasted long and found a conclusion: Nothing. Within his short life Arekay had seen nothing similar to the hypnotic glow he once saw, or believed he saw and started a debate about himself while in thought. He discovered another theory what the green glowing light may of been. Insanity. It some how came to thought that he may be becoming crazy due to his lack of social... ness and lack of friends he truly had. He soon shrugged it off and began to go to Twilight's house regardless to find out what that green blaze could of been.
