She was on quite a pleasurable walk, after emptying an entire tray of cupcakes into her mouth for breakfast. Some friends of her smiled and said 'hello' she counted Cloudkicker, Lyra and Bonbon, (inseparable as usual) Derpy Hooves, doing push-ups while Dashie parked at her like a drill sergeant. She hopped along, and eventually she saw less and less people. Because she was not looking where she was going, she ran into a tree, with a painful-sounding 'crunch' When Pinkie awoke, it was dark out. More and more trees surrounded her, and she was disorientated. This did not slow her down however. She shrugged off the leaves, and trotted into the forest, whistling cheerily. (Not Cherilee.) she looked around and saw a cave out of the corner of her eye. In the darkness of the cave, she saw a dark shape, with a black, holed object extending from it. Pinkie's mind worked a bit like this. Holes=Swiss cheese Swiss cheese=deliciousness She bounded over to it, and upon closer observation found it to be black. She shrugged, and picked it up and chomped on it. "YAAAAAAAAH!" An already echo-y voice form just in the cave mouth rebounded off the walls, echoing even more, until it seemed like there was ten talking Swiss-cheeses in there. The Swiss cheese, now revealed to be indeed NOT Swiss cheese at all, jumped onto its hooves, standing a full Pinkie Pie and a half above Pinkie Pie. "How dare you make a mockery of the changeling queen!" Pinkie just blinked, still staring at the hoof which she originally thought was cheese, but now seems to be part of a larger pony. An expression of her complete judgement of the current situation, with one of the most powerful beings in Equestria standing over her, was simply; "Hey! This isn't cheese!" The queen blinked once. "Excuse me?" "This isn't cheese. It's you're hoof. I thought it was cheese. It's not that hard, silly." Pinkie giggled slightly, a smile growing on her face. The queen shook her head quickly, but the smiling pink mare was still standing there, smiling at her. Most people either cowered or tried to kill her. It was easy, for not only had she been a tyrannical ruler of all of Equestria in the dark ages, as well as impersonating Princess Cadence and feeding off Shining Armour, AND trying to usurp the throne from her (distant) relative(?) Celestia. That, and she had a rather daunting stature. Being off track after the huge love explosion, she was wandering through the woods outside ponyville sometimes pretending to be different townsfolk so she could steal food to survive. She tried being Rarity and going out to visit spike, but she ran into the real Rarity, and things got complicated. Overall, the last month of being hungry, living in a cave, and having nopony to talk to was not very comfortable. But now, this pink mare, (which she recognised to be the element of laughter) was standing there, completely unperturbed. The pink mare spoke up, the unceasing smile still on her face. "What's your name?" "Que-" she paused for a moment. She had never talked to somepony this casually before. "Chrysalis. My name is Chrysalis." "Oh yeah! I met you at the wedding" "Yeah, about that..." "It's fine. Twilight told me that you have to forgive." "Even after everything that I did?" Pinkie nodded vigorously. There was a silence for about ten seconds. "My name's Pinkamena Diane Pie, but my friends just call me Pinkie. That's what you can call me!" "So... We're friends?" Chrysalis asked Pinkie's smile was replaced with a confused frown. "It's not that difficult. We're friends, okay?" She began smiling again. "So see you tomorrow!" "Tomorrow?" Chrysalis asked again, thoroughly confused. "Yeah! But it's late, and I have to go. See ya!" She started bounding away haphazardly, the queen staring until she went out of sight. She sat back down and curled up in the cave, and dreamed of friends and Swiss cheese.
