In for a Danish, in for a Doughnut

It was a while past midnight in Ponyville; the bright moon high in the sky, casting a dim light over the quiet, sleeping town. While most of the ground-dwelling inhabitants were asleep, there was still a fair amount of eventfulness below the surface, namely below the surface a good distance away from Ponyville.
Within the vast network of tunnels that ran throughout the soil, a single creature was running from tunnel to tunnel, making its way towards the center. It appeared to be some sort of bipedal canine, with a very bulky male-looking body, only made bulkier by the various rusted armor pieces adorning its body. In one of its hands, it seemed to carry a bunch of small objects, keeping them firmly clutched in its grasp.
Within minutes, the creature made its way to a central chamber, much larger than the various tunnels that connected to it. His running slowed to a walk now as he approached the opposite end of the room, where, sitting on a large throne-like chair, was a similar creature, at least, for the most part. For one, it was immensely...well, plump, compared to the armored canine; having quite a massive belly which stuck out from its body. Just above it though were two plump and rather smooth-looking breasts, partially covered only by the ends of a red scarf that hung around the creature's neck.
Fifi was her name, and she was among the few females of the race known simply as "Diamond Dogs". While they had, as their name implied, hunted for diamonds and other gems most of their lives, in recent times Fifi had her minions hunt for things much sweeter than gems, to feed her seemingly insatiable hunger. After tasting some of the processed sugar that Ponyville was able to produce, she had quickly become obsessed with it, leading to her current body size over the span of a few months.
"Yes...what do you have for me?" Fifi asked in an annoyed tone, glancing up at the approaching male, who knelt before her and opened his paw, revealing a bunch of small candies; shaped like triangles and colored yellow at the base, orange in the middle, and white at the tip. Seeing these, though, she scowled and swatted the male's paw away, sending the candies to the ground. "You idiot...I told you that I hate those!" she snarled a bit, before shaking her head.
Startled, the male backed up and whimpered softly, before turning and running off to seek something else for his hefty queen, who sighed and leaned her head back against the back of her throne; her stomach growling and grumbling with its usual hunger for sugar. "I swear...they're getting dumber and dumber." she glanced down at the multicolored candies in the dirt for a moment, before sighing again and closing her eyes.
"I suppose I will have to find something to eat for myself, if these fools are unable to bring me something to my liking." Fifi grumbled softly and tapped her fingers on the arm of her chair, resting her chin in her other hand. Turning her head to her right side, she looked over the various small candies on a table next to her, sighing softly. Usually they would suffice, but tonight she had a craving for something even sweeter than her usual sugary treats.
"Ponies aren't nocturnal, if I'm recalling correctly...finding something sweet to steal should be easy." Fifi felt her belly rumble hungrily again as thoughts of pastries were the first to come to her mind. "Cinnamon buns, danishes, perhaps some eclairs...mmmm..." she sighed and licked her lips, her mouth watering a bit to just the thought of those delightfully delicious baked goods. Finally making a decision, she rose from her throne, the movement causing her plump belly to jiggle in a gelatinous manner. "Momma's got a sweet tooth tonight!" she grinned wide before heading towards the exit, gently stroking a paw over her jiggling belly.
About fifteen minutes later, she finally made it to the surface, panting and wheezing softly from such a large amount of physical exertion; that is, a large amount for someone as heavy as herself, especially being so used to having her guards carry her around. "Haahh....d-damn...this had better be...worth it." she panted and wiped her brow of sweat, glancing towards the horizon and seeing a moonlit Ponyville in the distance.
Fifi groaned softly once more seeing how far away the town was, but at least she would be walking on flat ground, as opposed to having to walk uphill to get out from underground. Taking another deep breath, she began to walk towards the town, her belly grumbling louder now, quite a bit hungrier due to all of the walking. "Don't worry, you'll get fed soon..." she sighed and patted her wobbling belly with one paw.
After another lengthy, exhausting walk for the plump pup, she managed to reach the edge of town, stopping and leaning against the side of one of the buildings, panting deeply to catch her breath. "Aahh...g-good gravy...will I even be able to make it back?!" she groaned and closed her eyes for a moment, though just before her lids went down completely, she managed to spot something out of the corner of her eye.
"What the...?" Fifi quickly opened her eyes again and turned her head towards what appeared to be an entire house made out of candy, though in the dim moonlight, she couldn't exactly tell what candy it was. The shapes and barely-visible colors were certainly very obvious to her, though. "Is that...no, it can't be." her jaw dropped as she started in awe at the large building seemingly made entirely out of sweets. She could certainly smell a large amount of sugar in that general direction, and that was all the motivation she needed.
With a wide grin, she immediately took off towards the house, running as fast as her legs could carry her weight, while holding her paws out towards the building. "Come to mama!" she opened her mouth wide as she aimed for what appeared to be a three-foot-tall gumdrop on the edge of the building. Reaching it in seconds, she grabbed it firmly and without even thinking about the fact that it felt wooden against her paws, she nearly slammed her head down on it and sunk her teeth into the painted wood.
"NNGGHHH!" Fifi grunted out loudly from the shock of pain, her eyes opening wide and tearing up a bit as well. She immediately pulled back and snapped her mouth shut, grunting and growling in pain while holding her paws over her mouth. "Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck! This thing is a fucking trap!"she glared angrily at the fake gumdrop, now having large fang marks indented in it.
Her mood immediately soured again while the pain faded from her teeth and gums, though she still glanced up and down the building, seeing it a bit more clearly now. "A gingerbread house?" she could certainly recognize the brown color, contrasted with the white frosting, as well as the various pastel-colored candies adorning the edges and corners. "Fucking...why does it smell like sugar if it's just a painted house?"
She stepped around the side of the house towards the front and looked up at the large sign on the front, seeing that it read "SUGARCUBE CORNER". There was also a sign hanging on the door with the word "CLOSED" in a bold red font. "Huh...a store? Oh, well that makes sense, then...it's not the house that smells like sugar..." she grinned wide again as her mood flipped back to an excited one. "...This place must be a bakery!"
A bakery! She had truly hit the jackpot, now! Keeping her eager grin, she began to circle the building, examining possible entrances other than the obviously locked front door, though the only entrances seemed to be windows; there were no side or back doors.
"Huh...maybe this is gonna be a little tough." Fifi rubbed her chin gently as she gazed up at the one open window on the side of the building. It wasn't very high off the ground, only about four feet, but of course, for someone of her weight, a four-foot climb would be quite a challenge. Looking around the back of the building again, she spotted a couple of barrels and sighed in relief knowing that the climb ahead of her would be a good deal easier now. Or so she thought, at least.
She quietly dragged the two barrels over to the side window and positioned them right against each other, giving herself ample space to stand on them. With that, she reached up and grabbed the windowsill, while raising her left leg up towards the barrel, pulling as hard as she could with both arms. "Nngh...c-come on..." she grunted, looking down to the sides of her huge gut to properly position her foot.
Once one foot was up on the barrel, she was able to push firmly with it and pull herself up onto the barrels, taking a deep breath and sighing. "Whew...almost there, Fifi...it'll all be worth it soon..." she wiped her brow again, before gazing into the window. With no lights on inside, she couldn't see much, only having the light of the moon shining in through the window. From this open window though, she was getting a much clearer scent of the sugar from within, causing her mouth to water slightly.
"Oh yes, so close now!" Fifi grinned wide, feeling a small burst of energy from her excitement. With that, she firmly grasped the windowsill again, and at the same time she pushed down on it, she jumped as high as she could, grunting a bit as she managed to wedge her pudgy body into the window, though only about halfway. Her plump midsection was just a smidgen too large for the windowsill, causing her to get slightly stuck.
"Agh, damnit..." she growled quietly, feeling herself teetering back and forth a bit in the windowsill, though her paws quickly moved to the inside wall below the window, pushing hard on it to try and pull herself inside. With a bit of effort, she managed to pull herself through the windowsill after a few moments, gasping as she fell to the floor in front of the window, landing on her soft chest. "Ooggh...could've gone better." she pushed up on the floor and sat up, sighing again as she caught her breath.
As she took deep breaths though, the sweet scents only grew stronger. The whole room seemed to reek of sugary baked goods, quickly causing the plump canine's mouth to start watering again. "Mmmnh...now where are they..." Fifi licked her lips as she slowly got to her feet again, glancing around the dark room, only spotting a couple obvious exits, one being the front door, and the other being a double-door with a dim light coming from the room it led to.
Slowly and quietly, she approached the double-door and peered in through the window, seeing now that the light source was a small night-light plugged in at the corner wall above the countertops, giving just enough illumination to allow the intruder to see lots of cupboards around the kitchen, as well as a large refrigerator at the other end of the room. Fifi gently pushed the right side door open and crept inside, sighing again as the saccharine scent grew stronger once more.
“Oohh, fuck, where are they? Where’s the sweets?!” her belly grumbled loudly now, even hungrier than before from all of the physical exertion she had gone through, just aching for something sugary to fill it. Fifi immediately went for the fridge, pulling the door wide open and gazing inside; her eyes widening to the magnificent sight before her.
Each shelf of the fridge was packed with all sorts of cold treats, from pudding bowls and trays of fudge to buckets of cake and brownie batter; all of the deliciousness seeming to glisten under the light of the fridge’s interior light bulb. Fifi simply stared in awe at such a spread of chocolate, knowing that this would only be the beginning!
“Fifi, you’ve really outdone yourself this time!” she grinned wide before reaching for the tray of fudge on the top shelf, managing to take the whole thing out in one piece before chomping away at it, sighing and groaning blissfully from the incredibly sweet taste, much sweeter than any of the chocolate candies her servants brought her. “Mmmngh! Damn, this...Sugarcube Corner, really knows how to make sweets!”
In less than a minute, she had managed to stuff every last piece of fudge down her throat, finishing the last piece of it and stroking both hands over her gut, enjoying the feeling of all that cold fudge inside her. That would prove to be just an appetizer though, as she turned back to the fridge and grabbed the large pudding bowl, which seemed to be curved like a flat, wide spout at two ends of the bowl.
Tipping one of those spouts to her lips, she gulped down the pudding as well, almost flowing down her throat like a liquid from how creamy it was. In even less time than her previous meal, she finished off the whole bowl, dragging her tongue across the inside of the bowl a few times as well to lick up some of the remaining pudding. “Aahh...d-damn, I must be dreaming or something!” she sighed happily again and licked her lips of any pudding around them, feeling quite thirsty for milk now after consuming at least five pounds of chocolate.
Fifi turned her gaze towards the door of the refrigerator, and along the bottom shelf of it was a line of milk bottles, ten of them, filled to the brim and sealed with corks. “Man, these ponies really have it made.” she giggled as she reached for one of the bottles, picking it up with one hand and pulling the cork out with the other, before tipping it to her lips and gulping down the thick, creamy liquid, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the taste of the milk, only amplified by all of the chocolate she had eaten.
After finishing off the bottle, she let out a content sigh, setting the empty bottle down on the floor. Her hunger was somewhat sated for now, but only in the way that her craving for sweets wasn’t as bad as before. Still quite hungry for sweets, she looked into the fridge again, rubbing her chin gently as she glanced over the two buckets of batter, one labeled “CAKE” and the other, “BROWNIES”.
“Hm...I’ll come back to you two later.” she stood up again and closed the fridge door, not wanting to eat all of the cold goods at once, instead opting to search for something that was baked. Taking another deep breath, she followed the scent of sugar to one of the upper cabinets, opening it up to reveal a platter stacked with doughnuts; presumably everything that hadn't been sold that day. There were a few different flavors of doughnuts on the plate; the usual glazed and chocolate glazed, as well as some powdered jelly doughnuts and a few custard-filled ones as well.
"Ahh, here we go!" Fifi licked her lips once more to the delectable sight, before she grabbed the platter and set it down on the counter, immediately grabbing a few doughnuts in each hand and devouring them just as ravenously as she had the fudge and pudding. She crammed doughnut after doughnut into her mouth, her tail wagging a bit from the delightfully sweet flavors all mixing together in her mouth, quickly being gulped down into her belly which, by now, was noticeably pudgier from all of the fat and sugar being shoveled into her stomach.
In minutes, Fifi had finished the whole tray, letting out a cute burp and licking her lips gently, before glancing back up again and reaching for the next platter, this one holding a bunch of muffins and danishes. Just as with the doughnuts, she eagerly stuffed her face with the sweet baked goods, being so engrossed in her consumption that she didn't hear the sound of the front door opening and closing, or the approaching footsteps.
She continued to eat uninterrupted, scarfing down every last muffin and danish before returning to the refrigerator and grabbing another bottle of milk, chugging half of it in seconds. "Mmmnh, this has to be heaven." she giggled softly, licking the milk-moustache from her upper lip as she walked back over to the cabinet, looking back up into it to see a third platter, holding a pyramid of large cupcakes.
Despite having consumed about twenty pounds of sweets so far, she still had a good bit of room for more, though all of her eating was already beginning to show. Her huge gut certainly did look twenty pounds heavier, now very noticeably larger than it was ten minutes ago. Still, she eagerly dug into those cupcakes, cramming them into her hungry mouth without a care, while behind her, the door slowly creaked open, just before the lights in the kitchen turned on.
"HMPMH!?" Fifi froze from the shock of surprise, her mouth stuffed full of cupcake with two more in her hands. Her head quickly turned towards the door, seeing a pink stallion smiling back at her, dressed rather nicely in a pair of slacks, a jacket, and a tweed cap.
"Enjoying the sweets of Sugarcube Corner?" he giggled a bit, stepping into the room as the door closed behind him, looking up and down the body of the massively-plump Diamond Dog before him. "I can certainly see you're a big fan of sugar, though!" he poked his tongue out playfully as well.
Fifi was completely confused at the pony's lighthearted behavior, honestly not expecting such a reaction to discovering a thief. She slowly chewed on the cupcakes in her mouth before gulping, raising her eyebrow as she continued to stare at the stallion. "What...what are you doing awake at this hour? Ponies are not nocturnal."
The stallion only giggled again in response, walking over to the counter a few feet away from Fifi and opening up one of the lower cabinets, pulling a large jar of rainbow-colored sprinkles out and setting it on the counter. "I always come in at 3AM to count the rainbow sprinkles." he explained with a grin, patting the glass jar a couple times. "You can call me Bubble Berry, by the way. What's your name?"
"Okay, this is getting really weird." Fifi gulped softly, becoming a little fearful of the stallion who seemed to be completely fine with the trespasser in the bakery. "M-my name...is Fifi?" she answered with a bit of an uneasy frown, dropping the two cupcakes in her hands back onto the platter.
"Nice to meet'cha Fifi!" Bubble Berry smiled cheerfully as she approached the massively-plump Diamond Dog, looking down at her huge gut and giggling a bit, poking the side of her belly with one finger. "Hehe, you really enjoy sweet stuff, don't ya?" he poked his tongue out again, smiling up at Fifi. "By the way, how are those cupcakes? They're a day old, but they should still be fine!"
Fifi couldn't help but blush as her gut was poked, now noticing for herself how much it had grown, though she backed away from the stallion, scowling a bit. "Don't touch me, you filthy pony!" she hissed, placing both of her hands on her belly.
"Filthy?" Bubble Berry tilted his head slightly, looking confusedly up at Fifi. "I'm not filthy, silly! I take a shower every day!" he giggled again, before glancing at the platters on the counter, seeing that two of them had only crumbs left on them. "Wow, you really ate a lot, huh? Hehe, I don't blame you, this stuff's really good!"
"Pony, what is your problem?" Fifi raised an eyebrow again, very confused at the stallion's actions and overly-friendly attitude toward her. "Why are you not angry? I've broken into your bakery and eaten much of your stock. Do you not care?"
"Oh, not at all, Fifi! It's okay!" Bubble Berry smiled and nodded, stepping up to the pudgy female again. "You can eat as much as you want! You can pay me back whenever you're ready." he then walked over to the fridge, having noticed the empty milk bottles. Opening it up, he glanced around and took note of what was missing, before closing the door again. "I'd say you owe me about a hundred bits for everything you've eaten so far."
Fifi narrowed her eyes, glaring at the stallion now. "And just what makes you think I'll actually pay you, pony?"
The stallion kept up his bright smile as he turned back towards Fifi, crossing his arms over his chest. "Oh, you'll pay me for sure! I mean...it would be a shame if Prince Solaris found your secret hideout, right?" his bright grin curled into a smirk now, knowing that he could easily extort the Diamond Dog with this, “We punish thieves around these parts.”
"You mean..." Fifi's eyes widened again at the mention of "Solaris", remembering exactly who that was: The ruler of the land who had previously tried to drive the Diamond Dogs out of Equestria. The first attack had weakened them considerably; a second offensive would surely drive them to extinction. She gulped again, backing up against the corner of the counter and the wall. "You wouldn't dare."
"Mm, but I would! I can tell my friend Dusk Shine to write a letter to Solaris, detailing exactly where your hideout is." Bubble Berry smiled confidently, putting his hands on his hips. "Now what'll it be, Fifi? Are you gonna pay for all that food you ate?"
"B-but pony...I do not have any of these...'bits'." Fifi stammered, feeling her stomach twisting with fear now that she was at the mercy of the stallion. "How am I going to pay you if I don't have any money?"
Bubble Berry rubbed his chin gently, his facial expression contorting to one of deep thought for a few moments before he grinned again. "Oh, that won't be a problem, Fifi! I know of other ways that you can repay me!" he winked before taking his cap off and hanging it on a wooden hook beside the door, doing the same with his jacket, leaving him with just his slacks on. "Ponies come here quite often with no money, so they just have to pay me in my favorite way of getting paid!" he turned back towards Fifi again, grinning wide and patting the crotch of his pants.
Quickly realizing what the stallion was suggesting, Fifi glared and crossed her arms over her chest. “You can’t be serious.” her cheeks blushed lightly to the suggestion the stallion was making.
"Oh, but I am!" Bubble Berry continued to grin playfully as he approached the plump pup, the crotch of his pants starting to bulge slightly. "C'mon, it’s your turn to give me some sugar." he teased with a wink.
