The Fight To Free Equestria

We started to make a plan.

"I say we should run to there left flank and have the guys on the M240 bravos give us covering fire." said barns.

 "That's a good idea." I said.

"we should do it." said Philips.

"alright everyone that has a M240 bravo ,a M60e4 or a M249 give us covering fire on my mark." the 8 of us prepared for the final push to take Manehatan.

"COVERING FIRE'" I yelled as MG fire rang out and we ran to there left flank.

"Don't stop keep going." yelled barns.

"Enemy on the roofs." yelled Philips.

 We took out the the MG nest on the balcony of the Exchange before we got to it.

We opened the front doors to see a huge office on the right. We entered the room and on the radio was the worst message to get.

 "120 seconds till weapons release." said an f-18 pilot.

 "barns get the door." I yelled.

"dude are you getting this?" he asked.

 "that's why we have to move now get the door." I yelled.

 Barns shot the lock leading to the main lobby leading to a broken down escalator. But there was heavy resistance.

 "barns 3 enemy's to your right." I said.

 "got it got it!" he replied.

 "We have to move we have 90 seconds." I yelled.

 We shot up the escalators and to a staircase leading to a hole in the building that was hit by a rocket. But there was 5 rooms before that. "30 seconds let go let's go!" I yelled.

"green flares for friendly fire over." said a f-18 pilot.

"Get your green flares out." barns said as he pulled his out and lighting them by hitting the wall.

 I grabbed my flares. the 2 of us started waving them so the fighters would not level all of Manehatan.

"Abort! Abort weapons drop!" we heard over the radio was the f-18 pilot.

 As the jets shot by we looked over what was left of the city. Where green flares and green smoke in buildings saying they are clear.

"when do we go home?" asked barns.

"not soon enough." I replayed

"when the time is right, barns, when the time is right." said Philips.

We made our way to the roof for evac. We where happy we made it out. But we all gave a moment of silence for the 52 marines in the first recon that died today.

"the dead will be sent home tomorrow." I said.

"Those men died for a reason I'd give anything to bring them back. we should have died at the black hawk. But remember we have to carry on, for them, for the corps, for America, and for Equestria, what we have done today changed the tide of this war. The men that died today earned the right to be called heroes, so have we. Today we fought hard we saved lives. Never forget what happened here today. Semper fi." I said.

The black hawk picked us up and we where taken back to the airfield. We where flying back then, I say a blue Pegasus flying right next to us.

"rainbow dash." I said as the Pegasus flew to Ponyvill.

 " Johnson you look like shit man." said Philips.

I was starting to tear up. And was almost about to start sobbing but I couldn't fight it.

I started to cry just knowing people i have known for years, just died in one day and I couldn't do anything to bring them back. We arrived at the airfield. We took off our vest and helmets and we all went to sleep after doing the 21 gun salute for the fallen. there was not a dry eye that Knight. The marines are the toughest but we still have hearts. Thousands of marines died today, men that I have fought with for years my family, dead and I can't do anything to bring them back.
