It was another great day in Ponyville. Ponies hustled to and fro, to places they needed to go in the early morning sunlight. The clouds hung lazily in the morning sky, as the sun began it's assent into the orange, purplish red sky. Twilight got out of her bed with a yawn, and a stretch. Today I am going to test out that new spell i found in my library last week. It was true.. Last week she had discovered a spell hiding in the middle of one of her books. The paper had fallen out while she had been reading, and being curious, decided to test out the spell later. Spike had told her that it wasn't such a good idea, but Twilight had simply brushed his warning off. As she neared the bottom of the stairs, she was greeted by Spike, putting a few books she had been studying last night away.
"Good morning, Twilight!" Chimed the purple dragon happily. Twilight nodded, and sat on her hunches at the bottom of the stairs.
"Good morning, Spike." She levitated the spell of of the bookshelf in a soft glow of her magic. "Cloning spell." Huh, now we can get things more done, without that mirror pool. The last time we used it, we were swarmed with tons of Pinkie Pies.
There was a knock on the door. Twilight quickly opened it, and Rainbow Dash flew in.
"Heya Twilight. Whacha doin?"
The two ponies were just a bit closer than friends in their relationship, to the point where Rainbow Dash would come over about three times a week to 'hang out'.
"Well, I found a spell in one of my books. It allows the pony to clone as many ponies as they want... but I haven't tested it At all so far--
"Oh come on, Twilight. It would be fun to get a few things done, while having some spare time to goof off."
Twilight blushed, embarrassed. "Well, a few clones wouldn't hurt.... but let's start out with just one In the meantime, okay? One of each."
"Alright!" Cheered Rainbow Dash excitedly, as she fluttered a few feet off the ground. "We're gonna have so much fun!"
"The spell calls for something of said pony, to make clone..." She read.
"Huh... Well, I can give a piece of my mane. She took a small piece of her mane, and cut it with some scissors.
"Hey... I can give one of my feathers." Rainbow Dash carefully plucked a feather out of her left wing, and handed it to Twilight, who put it with the small piece of hair. She lit her horn, and read off the spell. "From one piece of pony to the next, one longs to have one like themselves. Take these, and make our wish come true!!" There was a brilliant flash, as she magic made contact with the hair and the feather. When it cleared, Twilight and Rainbow Dash gave a gasp of surprise. "T..that's impossible..." Twilight sputtered, as she read in the book, before she put a hoof to her face. "Clone one pony at a time only." She read off sheepishly. "Twilight, I have no idea what you have done," Started Rainbow Dash, as she flew over to the area, where the feather and the hair used to lie, "But you've got to admit.... She's kinda cute."
Where the area was, now sat a blue Pegasus filly, with the coloring of Twilight's mane, but the style of Rainbow Dash's.
"Hey there kid." Chimed Rainbow Dash. The filly blinked, and looked around.
"W...what is going on... Where am I?" Asked the filly, as she got to her hooves.
"Well, a spell went wrong. Welcome to Equestria." Said Twilight sheepishly.
"What the!? I...I'm... magic made?" She asked with surprise. "How?"
"With some of my hair, and Dash's feather."
"Yep. That makes you officially awesome!"
"T...that makes her... our child.." Said Twilight awkwardly.
"Say what now!?" Said Rainbow Dash surprised.
"Yes... she's made from both of us..."
"Guys, I...I think I want to be called MagicFeather...For the way I was created."
"Okay... well, hello there, Magicfeather."
The filly ran up to Twilight. "So... you're the one that helped make me?"
Twilight gave a small chuckle. "Sure looks that way, MagicFeather."
Magicfeather sat there, pondering what had just happened. She was made by magic... and had no idea what new world she had been thrust into, would face, or encounter. "So... What do you two do?"
"Sorry if we are so rude. This is Twilight, and I'm the one and only Rainbow Dash." With that, the blue prizmal-maned Pegasus took a dramatic pose, wings outstretched like she was about to fly off into the air.
Magicfeather started laughing. "I can see that. So... Twilight, you live in a library... How boring."
"What!?" Stated Twilight with surprise, and an amused look. "It isn't boring!"
"Yeah, right." Stated Rainbow Dash Sarcastically.
"So... welcome to Equestria... would you like us to show you around in town?"
Magicfeather got to her hooves. "Sure! I'd love to know what culture i was made in. To me, Unicorns and Pegasi hang out?
Twilight responded sheepishly, "We're friends, Magicfeather. Usually Pegasi clear the sky... and unicorns....um.."
"Read books." Finished Rainbow Dash lamely. Yeesh, she has so many questions... :facehoof:
Magicfeather asked uncertinantly, "So all unicorns love to read?"
