Two and a half months of Basic Training now lay behind Wired. After a short two days leave with his dad and uncle, he finds himself outside his new barracks at Fort Oatsis for the six month long training for his actual job in the Guard. Though everypony there came straight from Basic, he finds that life at Alpha Company is a lot different from Basic in many ways. At the same time, it is also similar in many ways.
