//-------------------------------------------------------// The Cold -by CertainDoom- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The End //-------------------------------------------------------// The End      "The audacity I shall be back," thought Sombra as he had walked through the snow covered hills.  He continued to walk through the winter wasteland as the wind began to stir.  Sombra began to silence as the snow began to fall at a faster rate, and he had quickened his pace through the snow.  "With any luck I shall be in Stalliongrad within an hour," Sombra thought as he went into a full on gallop.  The wind and snow had gone to an alarming rate, and it seems as if they wont stop rising.      At this point Sombra's body had been numbed  by the extreme cold of the northern lands, but it seemed to only get worse from there.  Soon the snow had created a thick veil and he had no clue as to where he was going.  He continued to walk for a couple minutes in which to his surprise he had found a cave.  Desperate and seeking shelter, Sombra went in to the dark cavern, and the former king laid to rest in a supine position.     Hours later Sombra had sluggishly awoken to a dark room, and he simply illuminated his horn to see that he had been blocked in by thick layers of snow.  Seeing no opposition he lit up his horn and shot several dark beams at the wall.  To Sombra's astonishment his attempt didn't make so much as an indent in the wall, and he continued his attempts only for all of them to be in vain.  These attempts all left a profuse amount of strain on his horn.  Eventually he stopped trying to escape and went to trotting around the cavern looking for a route of escape.      No matter what Sombra tried he couldn't find a way out, and the air inside the cavern began to get thicker and thicker.  All hope at this point seemed lost to Sombra although he felt confused and lost as to why this would happen to him.  He started feeling light headed and knew that this would be the end for him, so he began to write a note on the wall. On that note Sombra began to lay down and slowly his eyes began to close for the last time.     "I'm sorry that I was never there for you and that I may have seemed cruel or a savage at times, and even if this doesn't concern you. I need you to know that I loved you and never meant for this, I'm sorry dear daughter.  Even if you don't remember me, I'm sorry Cadance."
