Diamonds and Sparkles

Rarity had been waiting all week for her weekly appointment to the Ponyville Spa. She desperately needed to talk with the shy timid Pegasus that she couldn't even sleep that night. She laid awake, staring at the ceiling in vain. "Fluttershy's got to have the answers, since she and Big Mac had the same sort of problem". Rarity giggled as she remembered how shy Fluttershy had been around big Mac, now they were a lovely couple. She got up, and turned on her table lamp. "I'll go see if Sweetie's still up." Rarity decided as she quietly trotted down the hall to her little sister's room. Once she got the highly decorated door, she wondered if she was even awake. "might as well check." She slowly crept open the door, to see to her surprise, Sweetie Belle playing with her dolls! She sat on the rug, using her hooves to grasp the doll's body, since she didn't know how to use magic yet. "what are doing up so late?!" Rarity exclaimed, scaring the daylights out of Sweetie Belle. "I could ask you the same thing!" The filly exclaimed, still trying to catch her breath. "I am a fully grown mare, for i can stay up as late as I please, while you are an immature filly, staying up WAY too late". Rarity said as she used her magic to put Sweetie in her bed, then to tuck her in. "Now goodnight." Rarity said as she trotted out of her room.~

     Rarity excitedly ran out of the boutique, barely even saying her goodbyes to Sweetie. She was too excited to let anything get in her way, not now. She trotted through town, stopping to smell the flowers. "They smell absolutely lovely today, Rose!" she exclaimed as she trotted along the dusty road. Finally Rarity could see the small spa coming up. She trotted a little faster as she soon approached the beautiful spa. She opened the doors, trying to make the most grand appearance, but to her surprise, Fluttershy wasn't in her usual spot on the couch, waiting for her. Rarity's ears flattened. She signed her name and Fluttershy's, then plopped down on a seat. How could she? rarity thought as she flipped through a fashion magazine. She's NEVER late, but of course, the day i need her most, she's late! Rarity thought furiously as slammed the magazine down. Lotus gave her a funny look, then continued getting the sauna ready. Suddenly, the doors flew open, and Fluttershy shyly peeked through. "oh Rarity! I'm SO sorry I was late! Angel Bunny wouldn't eat his breakfast,and...." "Quite alright, dear..."
