After her humiliation at the hands of Twilight Sparkle during Boast Busters, the Great and Powerful Trixie sought vengeance. Through the cleverness of Twilight, the angry showmare is able to let go of her pride and start again fresh.

Except, nopony has forgotten what she has done, and none are willing to forgive.

Chased from town to town, Trixie is slowly driven further from civilization, and further towards the boundary of her own sanity. Hated and scorned as a fool and braggart, all that she was is slowly torn down until she is nearly unrecognizable. Haggard and hurt, she eventually finds safe haven in the far reaches of isolated Mexicolt. Living an impoverished but manageable existence of a street performer, she believes she has found her second chance. Until a chance encounter with a fellow street magician, an amicable Unicorn named Prospero, leads to an unlikely partnership. For this odd pair, a Tempest alongside the Tranquil, this is the start of a true new beginning.

--Personal Note--
This was conceived very shortly after I was first introduced to the show back in 2011, and written largely soon after. However, I suffered many setbacks before getting around to being able to post, and by then Season two had begun. Unsure about whether more canon info about Trixie would be revealed, I held off, and that turned into yet more delays. Now, with a bit of what I imagine to be a break for Trixie, I am finally getting this one off.

This story follows in regards to Trixie's television appearances. Due to not wanting to overcram her pre-story background, I am not acknowledging any IDW comics appearances.
