When the changelings invaded Canterlot, the ponies were overwhelmed in an instant. Some fought, but they were eventually defeated as well. In the end it was the love of the princess and guard captain, what had given our queen so much power, that defeated and drove us out.

But what if there was no wedding?
What if the bearers of the elements of harmony were still in Ponyville? What if the now king and queen of the Crystal Empire weren’t in Canterlot. What if the changelings had proper weapons and what if they held the shield up, to not stop changelings from entering, but ponies?

Fire years ago, the changelings returned and these questions were all answered. The city was ruined, many ponies were taken and the princesses were trapped inside the castle with a small group of guards. But amongst the chaos, some ponies showed great feats of heroism and sacrifice to once again rid their city of the changeling invaders.

My name is Snowy Skies, or at least, that’s what I‘m known as, and this is a story about those brave ponies that showed that no matter how far you fall, you always strive to get back up.
