After returning from a diplomatic meeting in the Griffon country of Griffonhala, Lord-Protector Twilight Sparkle returns to her homeland of Equestria, but a long-rooted web of betrayal and conspiracy threatens the peace of the country, and will lead Sparkle on a quest of absolution and vengeance.
