I don't know how I got here. Was it an act of God? Some weird wormhole crap? What happened? I fell asleep an average 15-year-old guy in his first year of high school, and I woke up as a gray Unicorn living in a land of magical horses and dragons. I've only been here for about 2 hours. It's around 7:00 PM and there are what appear to be dragons flying overhead, much like buzzards. They probably think I'm dead. I don't know what to do. Will I ever get back home? Will I ever see my friends again? My family? My pets? The only thing I can do now is look for help. I was in an unfamiliar forest and not a friendly one at that. I felt like those trees were watching my every move. Years of navigating the woods on my family's Longhorn ranch helped me to eventually find my way out. When I stumbled out of that horrible place covered in cuts, scratches and a little blood (I think those trees may have been alive) I found myself face to face with a young yellow Pegasus with a flowing pink mane and large, beautiful eyes.
She immediately noticed my cuts. "Oh dear, are you hurt? Let's get you inside and let me fix you up," she asked in a quiet, soft voice. Before I could even respond she grabbed me and took me to her cottage. Am I being kidnapped? When I entered her home, I immediately noticed that it was filled with animals ranging from squirrels to a bear yet it was surprisingly clean. "Now sit down here while I go get some peroxide for those cuts," she politely ordered. I complied and sat down on the couch next to a certain bunny who I believe was trying to tell me that I was in his spot. I soon moved over to the other side and as soon as I did, he hopped over to where I had been previously seated. The Pegasus returned with some bandages, a bottle of peroxide and some cotton balls. "Yay. Peroxide," I said sarcastically remembering all those times my mother did this for me. It was never fun. She took my lower right leg and and examined the small cuts carefully (I was beginning to think she may be overreacting). She opened the bottle of peroxide, and put some on a cotton ball. "Now this won't hurt but just a bit," shd said to me. "That's what my Mom always said," I replied, sarcastic as ever. As soon as that cotton ball touched my cut I began screaming in agony. I was never very tolerant to pain. She quickly stopped as soon as I did this. "Oh my, did I do something wrong?" She asked. "No," I replied. "It's fine. Really," I said as I began to stand up.
She gave me a kind but stern look that said "I know you're far from fine so sit down and let me do what I can to help you...I mean...if you don't mind." I sat back down and let her work, this time trying to keep myself from screaming anymore. "What's your name? I haven't seen you around before," she inquired. "Josh," I said. "I don't live around here. In fact I'm not really sure where here even is!" I exclaimed. "Well I'm Fluttershy. And if there's a dark center of the universe, you're in the town it's farthest from." I contemplated on that, trying to remember where I had heard something like that. There was a few seconds of silence before one of us finally said something. "About your name. I've never heard one like it before. Around here almost everypony's name has something to do with their special talent like Applejack. Her special talent is harvesting apples," shd explained.
"As I said earlier, I'm not from around here. I don't know how I got here or why I'm here," I explained. Puzzled, she looks up at me amd asks "Well then where are you from?" Slightly frustrated, I simply told her. "I'm from another world. And in my world ponies can't even talk and dragons don't even exist. And I certainly don't look like this in my world!", I explained. She looked up at me with compassionate, understanding eyes. "Well, I have a friend who can help you. She knows all about magic and lots of other things. Maybe she'll know how to get you home," she reassured. Amazed I hadn't thought of this, me being as methodical as I am, I realized I had nowhere to stay for the night. I assume that I could just find a hotel room or something tomorrow night. Fluttershy was now bandaging my last cut. "Fluttershy?," I asked. She looked back up at me. "What is it?," she asked in her gentle, calming voice. "Well, I kind of don't have anywhere to stay and I was wondering if I could stay with you for the night." She blushed and said "Well, there's already a sick badger sleeping in the guest bedroom but you can sleep with me in my bed," she told me somewhat nonchalantly.
"Um...sure," I said, blushing as well. "Why not." I was utterly surprised by this answer but comfortable with it. I was single so it didn't matter to me. We continued talking for a while, asking and answering questions back and forth. Unsurprisingly, most of her questions were about my world and what it was like. After talking for around 30 minutes we decided it was probably a good time to go to bed. We got up from her couch and she led me to her bedroom. She opened the door and the first thing I noticed were all the candles. Next was the, for lack of a better term, erotic jazz music playing from a stereo next to the bed. And finally I noticed the look she was giving me. Her eyes were half closed and she was smiling as if to say "Come here". What have I gotten myself into?
