Devotion to Deception
In the wake of her mum's debilitating accident, Princess Twilight Sparkle can't help but to feel useless and trapped. Worn thin by the regret and fear that torments her mind endlessly, Twilight is forced to push aside her own feelings in order to investigate the attempted kidnapping of Princess Cadance and her unborn foal after Celestia herself is unable to gather any leads.
Rainbow Dash, unable to bear watching her dear friend suffer alone, accompanies Twilight to the Crystal Empire, eager to help her ailing companion in any way she can. But to her surprise, Rainbow finds that there might be a little more to it than that.
After unearthing startling evidence pointing towards Changeling interference, Twilight begins to unfold a plan bigger and more sinister than anything she could have imagined. Kidnapping was just the beginning- If what she saw was true, then Equestria itself is in peril, and the only ponies who can stop the imminent threat are beyond her reach.
At current, writing is just a hobby. I hold school and work at a higher importance than my fanfiction, and as such updates will often be sporadic. My apologies to any who find that to be distasteful or annoying.
