//-------------------------------------------------------// Nothing like a hot bath -by AluringSkies12- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// for getting rid of a Bad mood //-------------------------------------------------------// for getting rid of a Bad mood            Spitfire laid on the small sofa in the wornderbolts team room. Her eyes were blood shot and her mussels hurting from practice “600 laps were nothing, but double that? Maybe I over did it” spitfire grumbled as she put her head down on to the soft sofa letting her wings droop. Sorin flew from the practice field  and into the team room, he saw spitfire on the couch, still in uniform. “Hey spits, you look really beat” he said walking towards her. Spitfire rolled her eyes, “No duh sherlock hooves” she said in a bitter tone as she weakly lifter her head up. She stared at the light cyan blue Pegasus with anger in her eyes. “Of corse she was beat, she did 1200 laps for celestias sake, how could he be so dumb to point out the obvious” she tough as she continued to stare down the now nervous looking stallion. “Jezze Spits, you didn’t need to snap at me” he said turning from her cld glare and heading towards a small fridge in the corner of the room, “I. DIDENT SNAP AT YOU” spitfire yelled hastily from the sofa.      Sorin turned to face her, but did not speak, he turned his attention back to what he was doing before spitfire yelled, from the fridge and grabbed two bottles of water for himself and spitfire and walked back over to them, setting the two large bottles on the table in-front of the brown sofa. Spitfires ears flattened “thanks..sorin” she said quietly before nearly drinking the whole bottle. Her throat still felt like hot coals from yelling out drills for her team, she was used to this feeling however being captain and all. She looked over at sorin as he took off his goggles from around his neck, she cleared her throat “Sorry for being..” She was cut off by Fleetfoot and storm crackle yelling and laughing as they trotted into the team room. “COULD YOU TWO  KEEP IT DOWN, GO HOME AND REST UP, I. WANT YOU BOTH HERE BRIGHT AND” she was cut off again this time by the stinging in her throat, her voice cracked and sounded horse and strained as she continued “ AND HERE BY EIGHT TOMORROW” she said The  two wornderbolts stayed silent as they walked to the change rooms. Neither of the two not knowing what to think, as spitfire had been yelling at them all day. Spitfire  let a single tear slide down her face, “why am I like this” she said as the tear fell slowly down to her left hoof. Normally she wouldn't even show any emotions, but at that moment she couldn't care less who saw her break down. She truly had no clue why she was so angry and frustrated. The last time she had been that angry was  about 2 months back when her and StormRunner had a heated argument. Not that it matterd now, since Spitfire nor Storm could even remember what it was about. Sorin cleared his throat as he stood up to walk to the change rooms, he stopped and put a hoof on spitfire shoulder “You know what you need? he said to the golden mare, she turned her head to face him, her eyes looking into his as she shed streams of tears from her red eyes, “You need a hot bath and a good book to read” he said with a small smile “It helps..it really dose” her re assured her. The golden Pegasus nodded and shook away the tears. She didn't quite know how that would help, But she was so tired of being angry that at this point she would try anything. ~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~**    Spitfire really had not the slightest clue why she was so bitter, normally she treated her team mates like friends, like family really. Spitfire slammed her front door in frustration  as she walked into her home and straight towards the kitchen, she would take Sorin’s advice. “Tea..”Spitfire muttered to herself, as she oped a suborn and scanned the shelves, she reached out a hoof and grabbed a yellow container. Spitfire pulled out a tea bag and places it into a large white mug.“Water...right” she said  turning on her stove and placing a black tea kettle onto one of the burners. As she waited for the water to boil she looked outside her kitchen window, and into the rather large back yard, the sun still in the sky shining on her back porch. Spitfire left the kitchen, as she left however she saw a book on the counter, Daring doo and the jade palace, she remember seeing one of her students at the wonderbolt academy reading it "Rainbowdash..good flyer, good taste in books to” she said to herself picking up the book witch she hadn’t gotten the chance to read. She started reading Daring doo while she was still in high school. She used it as a book report. She had never had a rush like that. ever. She remeberd she had ended up staying up tell sunrise reading it, finnishing the entire book in a day. She got an A on that report. It had been her favorite book ever since. She had even got it signed by Daring doo herslef. The kettle began to whistle, she placed the blue hard cover book under her wing and headed back towards the stove, careful not to spill she poured the water into the cup, taking a spoon she swirled the water around in a circle, letting the tea leaves seep into the liquid turning it gold, then coper and finally to a dark reddish color. Opening another cubbord, spitfire pulled out a jar of honey, she scraped some honey out of the tear to empty jar and let it melt into her hot tea. With the book under her wing and a hot cup of tea on a saucer in her out, she carefully walked into her living area. Her living area was painted a bright green, draped with cream color curtains and plain brown simple chairs and sofas, she had a coffee table in the center of the room and a small wood clock hanging on the wall near a very full but well organized book shelf. Spitfire pulled the book that was under her wing and placed it inferno of her, she then grabbed her cup and took a sip of the hot liquids, the honey coated her sore throat and the warmth soothed her. “Sorin, I hope your right about this helping” she said as she turned to the fist page.      *~*~*~**~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~* With 5 chapters of her book complete, and two cups of tea later. Spitfire folded the edge of the page and closed the book. Placing it on the coffee table she made her way to the upstairs bathroom. It was a simple room, nothing excessively fancy, a sink, a bathtub, walls painted a soft yellow, a few shelves and cubords filled with towels and other necessities. With all the bits she could have afforded a much larger cloud home, but as of now and at the time she bough the house, she was one pony, a pony hardly home anyway. Spitfire had always liked things simple, she never felt the need to have a lavish life. Spitfire went to a tall white cubbord and open the door, she pulled out a large towel and then looked towards multi colored bottles of bubble bath. She pulled out a purple bottle with Lavender, printed neatly on the side of the bottle. She turned on the water, hot water poured from the silvery spout and into the white tub. Spitfire reached for the bottle and looked at its label "Lavender scented bubble bath" she read aloud. She twisted of the silver cap and poured the thick liquid into the hot water, bubbles formed in the water and climbed up the walls of her tub. She put aside the purple bottle and grabbed her towel placing it on the side of her sink for easy reach when she got out. The water flowed and filled the bathtub and the smell of lavender filled the now steamy bathroom, Spitfire turned of the water and slowly got into the bath, the warm water instantly soothed all the sore places. Closing her eyes she stuck her head under the soapy water to get her mane wet. Her now soaking wet mane drooped down to her shoulders. She remembered when she was in high school and she kept her mane long. "Boy that was a mistake, My mane got pulled all the time, I think I even got it stuck in my locker, and it always fell in my face when flying" spitfire began to laugh "And then I remember checking out this one stallion, I think his name was Bluefire, and I flew straight into a tree! I was SO embarrassed, and my poor mom had to pull all the twigs and leaves from my pain, she had to get it all short because of all the tree sap, she laughed the whole time! Sorin laughed so hard his face turned purple!" she said in a fit of giggles, she smacked her hoof down into the soapy water, the water splashed up hitting her face and the ground outside her bathtub. Her laughter stopped. "Oops" She started laughing again as she put her hoof to her face. Spitfire eventually calmed down as she laid back down in her bathtub "Good times" she said as she closed her eyes "when was the last time I laughed like that...?" she thought leaning her head back as more memories came to her head. "I remember when I first became captain" she said out loud to no one "Me and sorin were both on the wornderbolts team the longest, we knew it was between us" Spitfire sighed, she had stayed up all night with sorin at his house. "He had said no matter who it was, the wornderbolts would have an amazing captain" Spitfire remembered Starfire crying the day before "it must have been the hardest choice of her life and career, she was getting older and couldn't be captain anymore, and having to choose another pony to take her place.." Spitfire let a tear slip from her eyes knowing one day it would be her turn to pass on title as captain and retire from the wornderbolts. "then she gathered us all there to announce the new captain, when she said it was me...I remember crying and feeling so happy...but also pressure..I knew even then how hard it would be..And sorin cheered the loudest even though I knew he was disappointed" "Ive made so many mistakes as captain..I have even put other ponies lives in danger" she said as she stared at the wall in front of her as she remembered Rainbowdash yelling at her for it "She was right...She would make an amazing wonderbolt..heck, she would make a great captain, but for now she is to young  and has a lot to learn" she said with a small smile, Rainbowdash reminded her so much of herself at that age, so young and eager to please. She began to think back to sorin, he had always been there for her, and she knew she loved him.  at the time love was not an option, "Or is it...?" she thought "Would it be okay..I mean...What if he docent feel the same way" she thought putting a wet hoof to her chin "Maybe..I should just..go for it" she said with a smile Spitfire closed her eyes and let the sent of lavender drift around her, the still warm water around her body making her feel comfortable with her thoughts. Breathing in and out Spitfire found herself more relaxed then she had felt in days. "Sorin, you were right again" After a long while the water turned cool and spit fire got up, her mussels no longer sore and her mind no longer boggled. She wrapped the towel around her and drained the water and very few remaining bubbles from the tub. She walked across the narrow hall to her bedroom, dried off, and laid down in her bed. As her eyes closed and her body felt weightless one final thought passed her mind "Sorin, I don't know what id do without you..you are my very best friend.."
