the life of a 17 year old
Hello I am Phillip and today was a BIG day. Um, let me sum up my 17 year old high school day for you. I went to school, waking up at 5:00 in the morning, hopped in the shower, get clothes and glasses on, get my backpack and gym bag, let the dogs out, hop in my Chevrolet mustang, drive an hour to my school singing to various rock such as aerosmith or ozzy osborne’s , you know the usual. I got to school at 7:25, I got to chemistry in first period. I love science, I win the science fair every year for a start, I always, ALWAYS, get A’s, and I’m in particle physics, so I’m pretty well achieved
.
The class eventually finished. Onto second period, the computer lab, oh the computer lab. I sit next to this boy tom, a computer geek, and Michelle, a brony, uh; I hate those weird people of the internet. So, tom started to play with some binary code, and obsession of his, he loves to solve problems. And Michelle was watching…. Really weird videos on YouTube, involving her…. Fetish. Whatever, my childhood has already been ruined 1000 times.
I anyway, am preoccupied with doing something I love, organizing news on my laptop, using tons of 16 GB flash drives. I literally have a whole case of them, which is a lot, just so you know, considering they cost 11.70. Yeah, so I have ones that hold music, monumental videos such as the FDR inauguration speech, all 6 moon missions, the redbull skydive last year, the one that was talked about everywhere because the skydiver broke the sound barrier. Then I have some articles. I also have my favorite movies.
Today…. Government still shut down….worth a place in my article drive. I did this all class, turning once or twice to either see what tom or Michelle was doing. I then noticed, Michelle as writing a story about me going to a pony world, I almost died laughing. Eventually, the period ended.
Great, now onto Spanish. As I was walking to class, all my stuff fell out of my bag, and scattered all over the floor. Almost immediately, a boy named Jamal got down on his knees, and started to help me pick up my stuff. After all the stuff was picked up, I got up.
I then proceeded to say “thanks Jamal”
He said happily “I’m always there to help, Phillip, oh, and good luck with the soccer game today, I’m playing some basketball when I get the chance, I wish I was good enough to get accepted to play soccer, guess I was never good at all anyway.
I said persistently “if you want to play soccer, practice every night”
He said” I’ll do that, Phillip, thanks”
I then called back to him, now walking away “don’t thank me, Jamal, you deserve more recognition for how much heart you put into everything”
He replied “it’s my personality
”
I got to Spanish; boring class so ill skip it (not literally)
Anyway, fourth period, lunch. Peter sat with me; we started to debate, as usual. Eventually we came to an agreement, before the end of lunch, we always agree with each other, good thing he can’t keep grudges, because sadly people like me never, ever forget things.
We then got to clubs, fifth period. I’m in the drama club, simply because I’ve done debate for 2 years and always won, so it got pretty boring. Anyway, we were singing/auditioning for a song I love, muses madness, anyway, I sang the song, and almost automatically got the spot for the solo
All of the sudden a popular girl named Antoinette came up and said “great song, great voice, great pitch! I love it!”
I responded weirdly” well, uh….. Thank you?” I started to adjust my glasses

She then said” anytime, uh…. Dude. “Okay, who removed the old Antoinette because last time I tried to talk with her; she was trying to avoid me.”
And now, stuff gets really weird. its now 6th period advisory. Today, we have a 10 page paper about our life that we have to present due The class went by as usual, present project, pick next person, repeat. After Michelle presented, it was my turn, I paraphrased a lot as usual, because I was annoyed that it took so long, I sped through every sentence in like a second so itsoundedlikethis.
I showed pictures of me, my house, the whole shebang. I then sat down in my seat; put my 10 page paper in my binder. I then started to scribble down facts and history on a blank piece of paper and , the space race, Johannes Kepler, Galileo galilie, Stephen hawking, albert Einstein, descript doodles of things, all based on things I was interested in at the moment. I did this almost every day on different subjects I was interested in.
Then I closed my binder, put it in my backpack next to my gym bag, then I put my backpack and gym bag on my back after looking at my watch seeing that there was only 5 minutes left until next period. It’s really hard to explain what happened next. I heard an enderman noise like in minecraft, then a bubbling noise, and last but not least a pop noise. That’s the best I can describe what I heard. By then, everybody was looking at me in shock and awe.
Then I said “what did I do?”
Then tom pointed behind me. I then turned around to all of the sudden be blinded by a white light and extremely loud talking I didn’t understand. Then the teacher screamed. Everybody followed her direction and ran out of the room, except my five friends who were still too much in shock to move.
I then got thrown into tom’s chair by something. Still confused I ran over to the bookcase to get a stapler to use as a weapon against this thing, but I knew I would lose considering I couldn’t see. Then one of those bright lights hit me blank in the face. I got flung into the wall.my glasses then fell of my face.
I could for some reason, see with one eye with my glasses off, I then remembered I had a problem reconfiguring light with the eye I could see out of. I then swiftly got up on a desk and did a fly kick into one of the things presumed face. I then landed on the ground. I then flew at the light source with the stapler. It hit, and I heard a loud noise. Then I started hearing the enderman noise and I tried to run.
I didn’t get away in time. Then all I saw was black before another pop noise. I then noticed I was in an old, creaky house. I knew this because all the furniture was covered in plastic wrap. I then proceeded to run right into a coffee table. It then broke under my weight as I fell on it. I then replaced the stapler with a board with a nail in it from the coffee table incident only to turn around to see my shocked friends and those things.
My first reaction was to dive because a rainbow thing was flying at like 100 miles per hour. I proceeded to do an Indiana jones roll to turn and see the rainbow thing had hit itself into a wall. I then turned around to see a flustered orange thing start kicking me in the shins, and it hurt, and I had shinguards on, SHINGUARDS! I won’t get into much detail but right then, I was wearing a hoodie, a soccer uniform with number 13, some blue shorts and cleats with shin guards.
I had this on because after 8th period I have a soccer game I’ll sadly not be present for, but for what I know, school literally shut down after we disappeared and were investigating the cause, so there was no soccer game.
I uppercutted the orange thing and it flew into the door on the other side of the room. I only then noticed how small these things were in comparison to me.
I’m 7 feet tall and the largest one here was what seemed to be 5 feet tall. Anyway, I then ran at the rainbow thing and dived on it. I started going berserk punching it in the stomach, what I think would be its face, nose and just about anywhere else. I then used the one hand with the board and nail to (try to) hit it, but something flung it out of my hand before I could end this things miserable life.
I saw a massive purple blast of what seemed to be in my theory, plasma or fire. I tried to avoid the massive purple plasma ball but it hit me. I felt massive amounts of adrenaline coursing through my veins. I then got a sudden burst of energy and I was then flung out a window that was boarded up and broken. I went face first instead of back first, so my nose broke on impact, and it HURT, REALLY BAD!
I can’t begin to describe to you how I felt. The only people (I think, anyways) would understand how it felt would be somebody who had broken there nose before. After I flew out the window I fell into a bush at the bottom level.
I got up almost automatically to check and make sure I was alright. I went through the checklist as fast as I could.
It started like this; “backpack, here, gym bag, here, limbs, here, nose?”
I then reached to touch my nose which was badly bleeding and crooked.
I then proceeded” Bleeding and broken but still attached to my face”

I was a bloody mess; I had blood all over my hoodie and face. My eyes then started watering and my nosed started stinging. I then noticed I was in a forest, kind of like the one next to my school. I then saw a flash of light and heard people calling for me. I heard what seemed to be five people and if I recall correctly, tom and peter were sitting next to me, Michelle was in front of me, and Jamal was behind me. So who could possibly the last person?
That was answered quickly as I heard Antoinette scream “WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!”
I screamed back “I DON’T KNOW BUT I SEEM TO HAVE A BROKEN NOSE!”
I then heard tom scream” WELL, THERES QUITE A PROBABILITY FOR THAT TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU’RE GETTING FLUNG OUT A BOARDED WINDOW, DON’T YOU THINK!”
I then heard peter scream” PHILLIP, IM COMING DOWNSTAIRS TO FIGURE OUT WHATS GOING ON”
I heard Jamal say happily “THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON GUYS, MAYBE ITS OUR DESTINY”
I heard Michelle stuttering “Th…at…wa…s…t…he… char…a…cters…of…mlp”
I barely understood what she said and asked “COULD YOU REPEAT THAT AGAIN MICHELLE”
She then yelled “THAT WAS THE CHARACTERS OF MLP”
I then recalled to computer class, she was watching pony videos, and then I remembered “YOU MEAN THE TV SHOW!”
She replied “YES!”
I screamed “THAT ISNT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE MICHELLE, YOU MUST HAVE SEEN THINGS”
She replied “SEEN THINGS!!! I HAVE’NT SEEN THINGS?!THEY WERE THE REAL CHARACTERS!”
Michelle was obviously hallucinating, so I stopped arguing with her. I then started to walk around the house, overgrown with vines and moss, showing that it had been abandoned for some time, then *THUMP* peter bumped straight into me.
I got up and said “peter, might want to watch wher-woah!”
Peter took me by the hand as he rushed me into the old house, through the living room, and up to the bedroom in which I got flung out the window 3 minutes before.
Michelle then pointed a picture up to my face, looking like a rainbow manned equine from the show she watched.
she then said “does she look familiar to you’ I nodded my head
she then proceeded to say “this is the thing that you repeatedly punched in the face, do you feel sorry?’
I said “no, she’s a cartoon character, she also doesn’t exist”
Jamal blurted out “we all can have our own beliefs here, but all of us can agree on one thing, what just happened is impossible “we all agreed.
I then said “ well guys, it’s like 2:45, and I really want to know where we are, so I’m going to find out using my IPhone” I pulled up google earth to show we were 3.1 miles away from school, a short distance, in my opinion, but not to Antoinette who was having a hissy fit.
Tom said “Antoinette, shut up, this walk is not that long”
Antoinette said “but what if a wolf comes out and eats us”
Peter said with a smile “I highly doubt that, Antoinette, just shut up and the trip will go on quicker.”
We all walked out the door, and started our 3.1 mile walk. I then saw something in the distance; it looked like a tree house in a tree disguised by fake vines and leaves.
As I got closer I noticed there was also a camouflage tarp being hung by a tree.I told my friends to stay back and wait for me to come back out. I thought it might be for hunting. I quietly but swiftly walked through the tarp door to see two tables with supplies on them. The first thing I saw was a brown leather embroidered holster that looked like it held a gun.
I picked up the holster to pull out the gun to see a Colt M1911, the first gun I ever shot at the age of 9; I then took shooting classes all the way until I was 13 when I became a master marksman. I saw another gun holster that was made of black leather. I then opened up the holster to see another Colt M1911. I then knew that anything that was following me would be dead in a matter of seconds. I attached both of these to my belt.
I kept walking down the table to see an M4A1, I gun I had shot three times before now, and that you need a permit to keep. This gun is an amazing assault rifle that I’m happy to have found. I put its strap on my shoulder.
I kept going down the table until I found it, a Remington 700PSS, a sniper rifle. So yes, I found a diamond in the rough. I placed the sniper on my back. I picked up a gun cleaning kit and put it in my gym bag. I then found a first aid kit, which had some tape to straighten my nose and cotton swabs to put in my nose to stop the bleeding. I also put the first aid kit in my gym bag. I then found a bag full of ammo, which I put on my back also. I then found what seemed to be a long sword, I could use it, I used to fence. I found black boots, camouflage shorts, and a camouflage shirt.
I then picked up a bullwhip and put it on my belt, just in case. I then went over to another pair of clothes which consisted of a brown waterproof fedora with a black stripe going around it, a brown leather jacket, a satchel with water, and a very lightweight white shirt. I kept looking and found binoculars, night vision goggles, some rope, and a backpack with camping equipment.
I then started to put on some new clothes to make me less obvious to see, and more customary to my surroundings. I put on the leather jacket, the camouflage shorts, the fedora, the lightweight white shirt, a satchel, the long sword, some rope, and the belt with my equipment.
I came back out, everybody looking extremely shocked I had brought guns with me, one particular person, tom, laughing.
I then said “what’s so funny?”
Tom said “you look exactly like Indiana jones!”
I replied, noting on how closely I resembled the character”yeah, I do don’t I”
I then heard Antoinette scream” my savior!” as she jumped onto my back, adding to the immense weight I was already carrying
I then said” can you get off my back?”
She replied” no, I’m not touching the ground until we get back to school”
I sighed, no point in arguing with her, she always won arguments. I noticed we were a mile away, great. I kept walking.
Jamal eventually started a conversation with Michelle
Jamal said “what is the TV show you were talking about, Michelle
”
Michelle replied “the TV show’s name is my little pony friendship is magic A sho-“ Michelle got cut off by peter
Peter started to ramble “ originally started out as a idea in 1981, bought by Hasbro in 1983, got a tv show in 1986,referred to as the first generation, ended in 1987, merchandise sold internationally until 1995”
Michelle gave peter a stink eye “yes, jamal, what peter just said basically describes the history, till the awesome revamp of the series in 2010, created by Lauren Faust, it got fans worldwide, it spread all the way to 4chan, the worst website on the internet. We trolled the mods till they banned us. Eventually, they created a pony board. We are still growing in fans today.’
Jamal then asked “are these fans like 6 year olds or what”
Michelle replied with a smirk “no, actually, adult men”
Jamal replied with a look of awe “but…. That stuffs for little kids”
Michelle said”yeah, but the animation is good and the characters actually have a personality”
Tom became curious “what software do they use?”
Michelle replied “adobe flash, why?
Tom shook his head “adobe flash is such a cheap and crappy program to animate with”
Michelle gave tom the stink eye, and the conversation stopped as quickly as it started.
I saw the school now. It was now 3:25. I saw tons of news reporters lined up on the sidewalk of our school, probably reporting our disappearances. Antoinette finally jumped of my back, and I snuck to the car to put all the stuff I was carrying in the trunk.
I then said my goodbyes to everybody who was on this crazy trip, and started my car up, and drove as fast as the car could take me, trying not to get an Interview, considering I wanted to see my parents, go to the hospital, then go to bed. I had the most boring ride back home because there were no stations that played music, but were instead talking about me and my friend’s disappearances.
.I passed by the many cornfields as I finally got into my neighborhood. My mom and dad where having a mental breakdown, as I walked inside.
My mom and dad just looked surprised, and happy.
They started to ask questions about what happened; I answered all that I could. They were also worried about my nose which was still oozing with blood, to which I responded “we will take care of it in the morning”
I walked up to my bedroom with all my clothes and stuff from my journey. I got on my headphones; put them into my Ipad, as it started to play some party music.
I then took all the clothes accept the fedora and belt back in my gym back, and put on some blue and white slippers, and some cyan pajamas.
I then hopped into bed, trying to make sense of what happened. I ended staying up most of the night, contemplating what just happened. I eventually went to bed though, extremely tired. I went into dreamland.
